Yeah, there have been hardly any updates lately; so much has been going on! Everyone is working really hard, its crunch in Guildford and we're working our arses of on Fable 2 and the other game. There's just not enough hours in the day, but I'm going to try and post more again in all the blogs. Don't count on any developers making any postings, they're all dug in with the bug fixing and whatever else, although I like to read what they post.
Video diary 6 is now locked for a release on 24th June! That's a date there! Yeah!! Number seven hasn't been made yet, but nine has had a first pass, work on episode seven won't start for a couple of weeks but you will get to see some other things in the meantime... This Friday there'll be three new screenshots for subscribers to the Fable 2 newsletter and we've got even better things lined up for fans of stories later on in this month's programming! Oh and there will be MORE.
Tomorrow (the same Friday as the screenshots) I'm going to try out my new (untested) technical solution for HD capture from a dev kit with all bells and whistles on. It's going to ROCK! YEAH!!! I need a USB keyboard first.
A lot of new people have been starting on the team; numerous testers are playing the game around the clock, it's a sight to behold! The Bug Blitz you know from one of the video diaries is now in absolute full swing. IT'S SO EXCITING. Tensions for some people are growing extremely tight, like a donkey's hole; nevertheless I'd not want to be anywhere else right now as a gamer working with so many gifted talents on Fable 2. Reminds me of the first game I ever worked on as a community manager -- aka the crunch on Fable. Each day gone is a day closer to that final date (which is going to be announced real soon I-HOPE-NOW-YEAH!!!). Scary times!
Louise seems to be coping very well I saw her talking on a headphone while eating a take away meal. There are many of those being aten of late. Peter reminds me of a bear and other times of a sneaky student. The goal at the moment is to film everyone as much as I can, each day there's being filmed now (with the stress on, this is not easy) and hopefully there is footage of everyone on the development team. I'm trying to have the camera 'observe' what goes on. The total hours of footage is getting close to 80 now. So much to work with...it's scary...and now for that HD game footage, yeah?
