perhaps Georg's copy of the game was stolen after all in a grand heist scheme, and they are trying to cover it up by pretending that Fable II was never going to be a part of GC ...

how do i know that this video is really from gc??  they said they're supposed to show new material that hasn't been shown yet.  to me, it looks like a video and demo they had at e3.

i know it dosent have much to do with this post ya got here but me and some buddies were woding something that does relate to fable 2... are the screens gonna go black when ya have sex in fable 2 again.... because we feel that why aren't you showing us everything because you want us to see so much artistic backgrounds and people in the game. (which we love but why stop there?) it is rated M for mature 17&up but Sims2 did atleast show that people were having sex in the pool or under the blanket (no privates were shown but u could tell they were having sex).... anywho its rated T for teens for crying out load and its showing more stuff than a M rated game..... something is wrong there?

Who cares whether or not you can see fake videogame characters having sex. It's just a game. Even with an M rating you know kids will be playing the game and the media would probably make a big negative of it. If you want to see people having sex go download some porn.

i don't rly care all that much but for some people wanna see that in there or some might like it enough, and it's about choice M rated or not this game is all about having to get many choices and that is making it a lack in choice right there. plus how cares about the idotic kids who are buying games that they are not supposed to buy it's there bloody fault if they see it and unless ur one of them then restrict one game like this they probably seen worse already if they can get there hands on M rated games duh.

and no, media's have no right to do that because if they say its got sex in it then guess what.... they HAVE got no news because it being rated M they can do whatever they want to. lol

going from justaartist's comments, I don't see how not being able to see sex makes any difference on the prevalence, or lack, of choice.  you get to choose whether or not to have sex, and then whether to have unprotected sex, and this is just one small choice in a world full of them - all of which (choices, I mean) determine your fate and the fate of those around you.  

it's all about artfulness vs. crudeness IMHO.  I think perhaps this is why the Sims got boring to me after a while, and I played the first Fable through so many times I lost count.

Also it's not so much about the media, I do agree, but there are a lot of parents out there who will let their kids play games with blood and gore without so much more as a cursory glance, but wouldn't think of letting them play games with explicit sexuality or nudity.  Not saying it's right, but it's the truth.  so I suppose it's more about marketability from a pragmatic standpoint, if not artful sensitivity

i wouldn't neccercery lable it out on being a selling point because some ppl (im not talking large scale but u know there are some ppl) would buy it just for that reason becuase they would get to see what happens and they chose who dose it.... think about it... this was meant to be just a causual conversation to someone who can answer my question... wasn't expecting a big debate maybe Sam might know or be allowed to talk about it since its not that big of a deal....

I'm still not sure I see your point as to choice...but no matter.  I agree that some people probably would buy it just for that reason.  In fact I personally know several that would.

Sam's lips (fingers?) are likely sealed as to overall game content, but I will admit I am interested as to how they will portray intercourse (by which I mean, of course, dealings and communication) in the sequel.
I must admit that the one thing that will make the game completely worth playing for me is another instance of a character saying, "Aww, come 'ere, my li'l sandgoose."

okay, this is a letdown.  none of the major game sights, like g4tv, or gamespot mention anything at all about fable 2 being there or presenting anything.  wtf!!  did they just go to hang and watch other games?  no videos, no interviews, no reviews!! can someone explain this?

in response to the original question about the sex thing.. I don't remember where I read it, but I remember reading that sex would just be a black screen with a few random noises tossed in. And really, the way I choose to look at it is like this... people in Albion don't have sex with the lights on. I believe that there is a law somewhere requiring that the men and women of Albion must turn off all the lights and shutter all the windows when they do the nasty.

Hehe. That aside, it's not really that important that an RPG should show sex. On the other hand, it would be a really weird choice on Lionhead's behalf if they chose not to portray violence. Kinda goes against the point of the RPG genre..
