Is the co-op being fixxed. I don't care about not bringing another hero into my world but please tell me I can atleast have my own camera to work with. Because it is absolutely stupid how small of a range one can go.

I honestly don't see why people would complain about this. They're giving you new content... and M$ is the one setting the price here. I honestly would pluck down 800 points instantly for the new DLC because it is going to add more characters, locations, clothing and more. Maybe I'm taking this literally, but that's a pretty indication to me that Fable II is going to keep growing with more DLC coming in the future. Keep it coming Lionhead!

When the patch is released, I will be able to dust off a game and finally be able to play it for the first time.  Meanwhile, Lionhead and Microsoft will have had my money for two months.  What do I get for my inconvenience?  I get to shell out additional cash for content that maybe should have been in the game in the first place.  Great flippin' deal on my end.

Wow. It's funny that people are complaining about this DLC comming out before a patch. Clearly, none of you read these blogs. The patch was stated to come out in mid-december...about the same time as this DLC.

As for the people who complain about how long the patch is taking....I'm sorry that they can't meet your demands with a quick fix. What would you prefer?...Actually WAITING for a patch that will clear up all these bugs people complain about...or a quick fix to your SOLE problem...which then, maybe a day later, you encounter another glitch and begin to complain about that. It's called patience, people. Lionhead said they were working on it...so they're working on it. If you don't enjoy waiting...just play another game.

You know what I would've preferred? A game that worked right in the first place, without having to wait 2 months for a patch while the game's director swishes about all over the internet about what a staggeringly astounding achievement his bug-ridden mess of a game is.

That said, when not being able to finish the game is your SOLE problem, you can bet it's a big deal.

No offense, I'm sure the DLC will be great but Lionhead/Molyneux need to relax a bit on the hyping.  Fable 2 is a very game, but certainly fell short of the ambitious pre-hype for the game.  And this "big news" that had to be postponed because of the launch of the new MS LIVE?  It's new content - a lot of games are doing it. Sadly, it's not news.  It's commerce.

I don't mean to be negative, because there's a lot to like about Fable2 and a lot to admire about the ambitious, genre-bending work this studio produces.  But, let others do the hyping for you - it comes off more authentic and less salesy.  The ol' business saying, "under-promise and over-deliver" seems appropriate.

Already knew this would be about a DLC. I don't even know if I can afford paying $10 more in this economy. Probably not. I'll just ignore this like I did with the expansions for Oblivion. =P

Least with Oblivion there were modders for the PC to take care of what the game makers refused to do.

Atleast we can look forward to a Samarkand pack in the future - I mean they wouldn't have talked about it so much unless we would eventually see it.

I do have to ask...will this have anything for those who chose sacrifice or wealth? After all, we know if you don't choose love you lose a vital piece of the game that's needed to finish quests. If we download the dlc, won't it be useless for the gamers who didn't choose love?

This should be free or at least cheaper for the LE owners.  Scince the LE content wasn't as broad as expected.

I would say only for digspots, afterall you can look for chests yourself, and I assume they've taken the absence of the dog into consideration.

This is a major dissappointment. Please fix the original game before you worry about trying to make money off of new content. This is like charging people extra money for leather seats in a car that has a broken engine!!!! Nice to look at but completely useless!!!!!

Well glad we have some new DLC coming gives me a reason to go back to it.

I agree with a majority of what people are saying on here about getting the premium content for free, I payed the whole price before MS decided that they were just going to do the game and a making of disc, I got some of my cash refunded, but I was pretty upset. Regardless of the LE mix up, or how long we're all having to wait for the patch to come for the game, the game was an experience as promised.

Poor choice of resources Lionhead!  You should have had your developers working patches/bug fixes before getting additional content out the door.  Very poor customer service.  Even if there is bug fixes in there, why do we have to wait for additional content to get them!?!  Release the patches now, additional content later.

It's really news, but, i think, like most of the people, that more bugs of the game, can be patched now, and then, a dlc it's glad to recieve, there more anoying bugs, like the wife that comes autist, the sound disabled when has some crowd or do gimmicks, color and light faults in houses, and of course, the inconsistent co op.

But, like many people, i think that for a game, that has only one month in the street, to pay for DLC, it's really strange, and also charges 800 msp...

Anyway, it's news, already have passed the game, three times, and want more, and if its possible, a gift like a pub games code for christmas, it's soo

I welcome the DLC but I think both packs should be free or should a charge be made it should be 400MSP. Criteron have done this with 'burnout paradise' as they have released a couple of free updates, one quite large (the bikes addon).

I just hope the current raft of bugs are all fixed in the update and not too many new ones are created.

Thanks Lionhead! Knothole Glade was my favourite place in Fable 1 and I look forward to more islands. Some stuff I'd like to suggest for DLC:

- More spells. Eg some of the spells which the "Hero of Will" used and some old spells from Fable 1 like Heal and Drain.
- A feature I've wanted since Fable 1: the player can become a Balverine when knocked out by a Balverine (therefore becoming infected).
- Players can choose different skin colours.
- Hal's Amour was a funny and interesting addition. Would be great if there were some more gaming references like a Triforce or Portal tattoo.
- On the subject of tattoos, I enjoyed the feature in Fable 1 of making your own tattoos (at least the PC version did). My point being, Fable 2 (yes, I still refuse to spell it with Roman numerals) players could create their own tattoos on their computers, upload them onto the Lionhead website and send the files to their Xbox Live account and share the tattoos with others by sending the tattoo style cards to each other as gifts during co-op.
- New melee weapon types.

My initial post was a little on the negative side.
After letting the announcement and its content sink in, I actually really like this thing.
Can't wait for its release, I'll be buying this thing as soon as it hits the marketplace.

I just read the news of the new DLC, Knothole Glade, pretty awesome.

However, people are bound to feel screwed. SO many people (luckily, I am not (yet) one of them) are having issues with the game freezing over, savegames corrupting, not getting LE-codes, co-op not working right, etc. etc. I can imagine them being frustrated that you guys worked on an add-on in stead of concentrating to fix those issues with a patch of some sort.

Also, releasing an add-on only a month and a half after the original game, and us having to pay about $ 10,- for it... Sounds as if the add-on was already completed, and could have been incorporated in the original game... Now we júst paid for the game, and we can pull out our wallets again. And then what, a month later there is a Hook Coast-add-on and another $ 10,-? Or like the orginal Fable, where you bought the game, and then later you had to buy another copy to get The Lost Chapters, which was the same game with an add-on?

Don't get me wrong, I love Fable:TLC and Fable 2, and I'm hoping for a Fable 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, etc. but this just doesn't seem right...

I agree with you Chieffie.  I am one of the lucky ones who has no issues with the game what's so ever.  But I think a patch should be the first to come out.

They should also incorporate the pub games into this download as well.

I just payed $60 f****ng dollars about a month ago, and you're talking about making me pay $10 more for something (that in all seriousness) should have been included with the game. Maybe you all should look to fix the flaws in the game before you go looking to dig your hands in our pockets.

Hey, nevermind about the pub games code. I broke down and bought it... LH still kicks assets though.

Will all the DLC eventually be released on a disk like Fable: TLC for people like me who can't get online? For me, getting online involves taking my Xbox over to my parents' house, dragging their big screen tv up the stairs and hooking it and my Xbox up in my dad's room where the computer is, then dragging it all back down again. Not to mention that if I get the Red Ring of Death and have to send my Xbox in, I have to do it all over again, which happened before with Oblivion. I would much rather just buy it on a disk. I would pay for a Game of the Year edition with the game and all the DLC and patches.

Just requesting a pub games code if that is possible, i would quite like to get all the achievements!

well i have a few comments on this one, I know im going to probaly sound a lil jerkie but hey i gotta speak my mind...Don't get me wrong i enjoyed the game i was a lil suprised with the shortness of it and the amount of bugs i dealt with the first time thru, actuallly i am on my second copy of it the first one actually died on me for some odd reason,

Now the thing i have to say is in the last month i purchased two big titles. Far cry 2 and Fable 2, both of these titles are now offering DLC at 10 bux each, the thing is with me is that it seems like from what im seeing in the ways of bugs, That these titles where rushed out on the shelves, Now is this DLC things that where a part of the original game but just not ready in time to be included, I mean when DLC comes out a few weeks after the game has been on the shelf and has a price tag I can't help but feel this way, I don't know about everyone else but xbox games cost 69.99 $ where i am from...comes to $81.00 all together,, now im going to be tacking on another 10 dollars to that price tag ? and apparently their was things i was supposed to get in my LE that did'nt even come with mine ?  Far cry 2 froze  on me at 69% and apparently it is doing the same for hundreds of others, I feel Developers should focus on and fix these problems before gouging us for more money,,, or at least offer these so called expansions for free, again don;t get me wrong i enjoyed the game and i will buy the content, But i wish people would take criterions lead and offer this kind of thing for free as it should be,

I'm not going to be disrespectful or demanding and childish, but: I agree with the above posts unfortunately. I would be much more interested in something adding a replay value to this game. A little polish and a sweet multiplayer would be a smart move on your guys part. You guys did a wonderful job on this game. luck!

A Kingdom for Keflings has stolen my attention from Fable II. No bad camera modes, no lag, simplicity and 4 player mode with a lot more replay value. I hope you guys can hop on the wagon and I hope you guys earn a lot of cash. Honestly, these guys posting here are wise and know whats best for you.

This DLC sounds great, but there are definitely bugs that need to be fixed in the main game first. Hopefully there won't be any more bugs when they release this. I'll probably get it, but I was going to see if I can find a pub games code first, I always miss the ones posted here.

I hope that you will eventually bring out many more DLC like oblivion did, starting with this going on to mabye hook coast and snowspire and eventually to a huge expansion like going to Samarkand. Hope they'll fix the bugs, I'm sure they will eventually, but it shouldn't take a hell of a lot longer. Co-op doesn't matter at all to me, because I like a challenge, and 2 ppl is just too easy in Fable 2. Anyway.. Its not too smart to release a game and like 1 month after announce major DLC. No way you can fix alot of bugs, AND create this DLC in like a month.. its a rip-off,  but alot of things are these days And so, I'll succumb to buying it. Would it be possible for the Premium to be free for those who have the LCE of Fable II, when I found that the contents had been reduced due to the supply error, I was quite annoyed when all I got was the downloadable content on its own (AND NO PUB GAMES CODE LIKE I WAS SUPPOSED TO )

I think a lot of console gamers are like me and have always appreciated being able to buy a game with confidence that it would work right out of the box as opposed to many PC games. To have so many problems with glitches and crashes is very dissappointing. At least PC game makers try to support their customers with regular patches for their games. To have a game be almost a month old and still not have these problems addressed is really frustrating. My guess is that Lionhead has lost a lot of cutomers with these issues and their failure to address them quickly. They should look at companies like Valve who have put customer service at the forefront of thier business model and have been continually rewarded with huge game sales. (half life sold more copies in it's 3rd year than in it's first)

Also, shame on all of us who bought a Peter Molyneux game. He is quickly gaining a reputation of not delivering as promised in his games and my guess is that eventually gamers are going to get frustrated and look elsewhere to spend their money. Other games may not have such lofty goals, but at least we can be confident that they'll deliver on their promises. (ie. like the promise to actually work when you open them)

Lionhead, please read this blog and others likeit. You're customers were not asking for DLC, they are asking for you to fix the original game! Please release a patch for the many bugs in the game or at least offer to refund people the money they spent on a game that doesn't work.

I have a few issues with it, but they make a minimal impact on how much I absolutely love this game. I am playing through for the 4th time since I got it on the 21st of last month. I understand that a lot of people have had their Fable 2 dreams smashed by a buggy copy of this game and I feel really bad for them, but I don't think you need to bash a game that satisfied so many more people than it disappointed.

YAY DLC!!!!! whats that?  Bugs that render the game unplayable?  BAH WHO CARES!?  Long as theres DLC everything will be all right.  uh...one question though LH.  What is the point of having DLC when there are bugs that dont allow people to press the A button?  Why is there DLC when peoples games are freezing?  Why is there DLC before you guys fix these problems?

I want to pick up Fable 2 this weekend, but it's nice to see that there will be additional content. I had a blast with the first Fable and just know it will be the same with the second one. Haven't tried the pub games yet, but I read somewhere that there also in the full game? Do you need the live arcade games to be able to play them ingame? Otherwise, I'd also really appreciate one of those codes if there are still available.

Microsoft Game Studios announced today (11/24) that Lionhead's critically acclaimed RPG Fable II managed to sell 1.5 million copies worldwide in its first two weeks, making it the fastest selling RPG on the Xbox 360. In the U.S. alone, the game sold nearly 800K units, dominating the NPD chart for October.

Congrats.  But let's tone down the "Big News" for $2.50 themes and $10 add-ons.  If there's one theme to take away from this board is that (most) people want your energy focused on the bugs fix - back the product you sold so well.  The rest want free Pub Games codes.  

I'll take a bug fix and an enjoyable co-op experience, please.  

Okay so the new content is and I'm not too upset about having to pay for it, but $10? Really? So we pay for a broken game, have to pay for pub games unless you're willing to give out A LOT more codes, and now have to pay for things that should have already been in the game to start. That's not even saying whether or not the DLC will fix anything still wrong with the game, or worse, add more problems. At minimum I think pub games should be free. It's essentially just the games in Fable anyway. Why is it every game on Xbox now ends up costing me $70-$100 to get the entire game because of DLC crap like this? Bioshock and Crackdown had FREE downloads that made the game more fun. All I'm saying is that we should be compensated for dealing with the ridiculous bugs the game came with. Especially since most of us are still playing and enjoying what we can as is. Come on, at least give us pub games. Please?

Hi Lionhead creators, especially Sam. I've been a loyal fan of Fable having everything fable from games to clothes to the lost chapters, up to the colletors edition of Fable 2. I pre-ordered my Fable 2:LE & never recieved a code for Pub games, because they ran out. I am low on income because I own my own place & pay bills, and have a little baby boy Michael due 12.11.08. I wish to play the Pub Games alot, but due to the fee, I have no extra funds, & won't for awhile. I've tried every code you've put out, & I can't get to them fast enough. Everyone else beats me to them. The store i reserved it from said they can't help me, and the only reciept I have is when i bought it. May I please have the code. I have every achievement since the 5th day the game was out but the one with the Pub Games requirement! The Expressions achievement. I need the head, hat, & mustache along with the back flip for the dog, which requires the Pub Games. May I please have a code sent to me through e-mail, i'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks so much for the World of Albion Fable 2, in my opinion, it's the greatest game on 360 to date. Keep up the work Lionhead Studios.

Well hope this also includes Hook coast my favorite place to be. Hope so cause it would be sad if that it is gone. Great blog and what I was waiting for.

All I care about is the bug fixes. Fable was a dissapointment and Fable 2 is broken. If your bug fix does not fix the issues in my game; I am never buying another Lionhead game again. This is utterly ridiculous and completely un-professional on your part Mr. Molyneux.

The fact of the matter is pubgames should've been in Fable 2 in full. Proof of this? Well they are...kind of. The only differences between PG and the PG in Fable 2 are that you can enter tournys and win extra content...so we have to pay £5/$10 for something we've aready paid for just to have something so minutely trivial as an expression/dog trick. Yes it's childish we have that need for 100% achievements but dammit I paid £45 (£5 extra) for the LCE and got...the wreckager (balls) and a DVD with content mostly available online in the video diaries.

I'm not one of these bitter naysayers complaining about the game cos dammit I love Fable 2 like a redneck loves his gay son. He ain't perfect but he's stiill my baby boy.

I'm just saying...fair's fair right? Fable's all about choice, /, corrupt/pure. I'm asking for Lionhead to do the fair thing and be a real hero...C'mon guys. You're all people. I know Microsoft has a big hand in this but please, stand up to them and show a huge leap of faith in your fans. I will continue to support this studio like I have since Black and White because I honetly think their brand of visceral gaming has a huge place in the future of entertainment.

I just wish everyone else would and a move like this, in some smallway, could really get a little boost of support  for LH from the thousands of people feeling downright disenchanted with the magic and whimsy of Fable.

My code for the LCE still doesn't work, I'd like a new code.  Why is it such a big deal for me to get another code?  They are FREE!  I'm really looking forward to this expansion though.

Awesome, finally! This is what i was hoping! MORE MORE MORE! This whole thing is going to cost me abou 100€. 3month live, 2100 live points, and an hard drive for the dlc. (ince my current memory stick is full)

1: It's LH that screwed up in delivering a game that hadn't been tested properly.
2: It's LH that is coming with DLC BEFORE providing a patch to fix serious issues with the game.
3: It's LH that is coming with DLC a month and a half after release, with content that could and should have been part of the original game, not an add-on.

I'm not asking anyone to work for free, I wouldn't work for free either. I'm just asking them to do their job properly, is that so strange?

had you prehaps considered, that this content couldn't fit on the disk? remember they only have a limited amount of space, and Fable 2 is a pretty big game.

also, maybe they reckon that the patch will be finished at the same time, and they're going to release them together?

I think LH had a really chance at making a game with some staying power, like Halo3 and its DLC.
But I think more should be done for the fans who haven't returned their copies for Fallout3 because God knows I have come close, two game ending glitches and a loss of my experience and abilities later I am still playing. Mind you I liked Fable1's story better though I feel Fable2's story has a lot of potential it just feels like an inbetween game or that it could have been longer a more complete story.
I just wasn't satisfied at the end.
With that said

1. Fix the bugs, and don't tell me oh mid December, just in time for new people buying the game for Xmas but right now for those who bought the game Day 1.
2. Your DLC, a whole new area! WOW! Only a month and a half after the game came out. Hmm sounds like LH edited it out of Fable2 along with a proper Co-Op system in order to make their release deadline and then ask us to pay them more money for the rest of their game. (Refer back to #1)

Again really close to a perfect game, falling short of games like Elder Scrolls IV but mainly cause of glitches. I don't want to wait till Fable 3 to get the Fable2 I paid for.

I am happy about the news ... but it still comes with a bitter/sweet feeling to it.

I like many others felt like the game came to me incomplete ... so the new quests feel like something that was supposed to be there but isn't (still 800 M$ points ain't too bad), about the bugs ... oh well, a patch is coming so I'm not that concerned, annoying? Yes, very much, but it isn't the end of the world.

One thing that does bug me is the fact that I got very little for my LE ... I really like Fable, but more in a fan-boy manner to honest (so I'll probably get the F2 theme too), still a discount for those with the LE would be nice, or at least make something extra for them, cause to be honest I felt kind of ripped off ... especially since the DVD was not nearly as as the video diaries and quite disappointing because of it.

could you be any less specific? what happened? did you do get a perfect 8/8 rounds in the crucuble, then try to open the chest and get transported?

if yes, then the best fix that we the community has worked out is to use the shovel, wait for the up-d-pad button to come up, which links you to the map, press B to go to the main menu, then find your shovel under Items/Miscellanious

I will make one point, echoing what DIObetes said: both the patch and this new dlc will be coming out in mid-december.

Now, here's where I add my two cents: has anything even bothered to consider that just MAYBE the patch is IN the dlc?  Just because they didn't come out and say it doesn't mean that it couldn't possibly be together.  It makes more sense to try to combine them together; unless of course the dlc and the patch are big enough on their on that combining them would make the download go too long.

Just a thought...

there are people on this blog that haven't been able to finish the game yet, thanks to all of the game ending bugs/glitches/crashes.  i had to learn about this "epic" story line from reading about others who have epic problems later on in the game's storyline.

hey, but it's ok, because i'm able to play fallout 3, farcry 2, gears 2, dead space, etc. and they have their own little problems, but don't cause game ending crashes.  

play a game that's not quite what you expected, ei. gears 2, that works OR play a game that's no where near the hype they promised AND doesn't work???  that's a really hard decision.  (sarcasm)

Maybe Lionhead should fix the old content before making new content. It's just common sense. And the only thing I wanted was a decent co-op system (no henchmen, usable player characters) but whatever. I won't be purchasing your add-on.

When I read comments like Eagle7D8's, I can only hope that Fable 3 is less of a kick to the face of the community than this game was. Despite Fable 2's fantastic sales, never before gave I seen the will of a game's fanbase so thoroughly squandered so soon after the release of said game. It really creates an appearance of the Lionhead staff sitting atop a delusionary golden pedestal, congratulating themselves to no end while so many of their customers are left twisting in the wind for want of a game that actually works.

Keep this up, guys, and you're gonna have to work twice as hard to erase Fable 2's  stigma of disappointment from gamer's minds than you had to do with Fable 1.

Hmm wow this looks very interesting. I would more than likely purchase the content if it adds a lot to the game. I hope there are new spells and more achievements!

Excellent, love the idea of Jessica's store (Box of Secrets). We have been running something akin to this via XBL that we have called the Emporium. Obviously great minds think alike. The 12th can't get here soon enough (of course, if that's even an accurate release date for this DLC)! Keep up the work Lionhead, it's not perfect but it's getting there.

I hope the new story on the island isn't ridiculously short like the main story line. I don't mean should be that long, but it shouldn't be as short as 3 or 4 quests. there should be a lot more, and new side quests there would be , too.

Come on Lionhead.. Take a break from selling chocolate-covered turds to your dissapointed fanbase and get your programmers to buckle down and fix the freezing problem.
While there are surely people who haven't had problems with their Fable 2, from what I've noticed there is an overwhelming amount of people (me included) who can't even PLAY the game. Yeah.. $63 bucks and I can't even play it. Does that seem real fair or what?
I mean.. At least address the problem in your *big* announcement. Show your customers that you are indeed working on the problem and not trying to milk every penny from the dwindling pockets of your loyal fans before throwing up your hands in defeat.

Honestly, I was a VERY loyal fan of Lionhead, loving Fable with a passion.. Even to this day having a spare unopened copy in my home *just in case*. I waited for Fable 2 to come out with anticipation, the only reason in me getting an xbox 360 being for this particular game. (just got the console a week ago) After purchasing Fable II 3 days ago and updating my console to XBL today... Voila.. Like a bad case of enjoying a Frosty when you find a rat's tail in it. Instant freezing and crashing. In a desperate attempt of fixing the problem, I disconnected from Live, deleted all updates and after still finding myself frozen after 10 minutes of playtime.. finally deleting anything having to do with Fable off my Xbox. (including main-quest progress of just before leaving Albion, a husband, a baby, tons of completed quests and pretty stinking awesome stats.)
Starting over I got about to killing beetles for old-what's-his-face as a child before crashing again.
Hmm.. Now where can people say I'm being greedy and impaitent for wanting the game I purchased fixed so I can actually play the cursed game before seeing more 'expansions' pushed out to purchase? Yeah.. Wait till YOU get frozen with Level 4 Will powers, a tidy list of real estate and a decent amount of money incoming.
Sad to say, both my husband and I have stated that if Lionhead doesen't figure this out soon, we wont be buying anything more from their studio. If not for the fact that we were sorely jipped, but also for the simple tone of their lack of ethics.
We could handle the small glitches during the game, though I thought it a little unprofessional to knock out a game with bugs that ANY Entry-Level Tester surely could find, (kinda makes you wonder at who on earth they hired to test the game) but this is ridiculous and infuriating.
Get it together Lionhead. At least try to salvage what customers you got left with fixing this game before knocking out more content to fill your pockets.
