Deal of the Week on XBL

Published Monday, June 29, 2009 10:29 AM by Woody
For all of you who haven't yet played the Knothole Island add-on and haven't yet used the powers of the weather in Fable II, this Deal of the Week might chance your mind.  From today until the 5th of July Knothole Island will be just 560 MSpoints on Xbox Live!

http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/games/media/66acd000-77fe-1000-9115-d8024d5307f1/

The price hasn't yet chanced on XBL but it should do later on today.

Just a small question maybe someone could have an answer to: Why o why are we European gamers expected to pay more for DLC then American gamers? look at this:

5000 US points = $ 62,50
5000 EU points = € 60,00
(Source = wikipedia)

But, óne euro is $ 1,41, so we have to pay 60 x 1,41 = $ 84,60 for THE SAME amount of points?

With the KHI DLC as an example this would mean:
American buys KHI DLC for 62,50/1000x560 = $ 7,00
European buys KHI DLC for 84,60/1000x560 = $ 9,48

And yes, I know, I could just get them online for the same amount as americans, BUT: That is only true if you have a creditcard, and I don't, so I have to get those stupid prepaid cards and get bum-raped by M$...

Why is this for gold only?  I make all my purchases on a silver account to not accidentally buy something I don't want.

Well my fable 2 experience started and ended really bad got hit with freezing issues from play one unplayable game rather troubling how a game can cost you money new of the store and just wont work after exchanging it several times, apparently its not just me with this issue and it is the game...... keep pretending the problem doesn't exist see if it works with your next release.

ok, off topic from the main post, but on topic with the comments.  I'm afraid i don't think there will be any more DLC for Fable II.  Judging from the ending of "See the Future" (which I won't spoil for anyone) and based on this article: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/06/28/fashion/weddings/28GILBERT.html?_r=4
I think Fable III is already in the makings.  Smily [:)]  (check 4th paragraph down talking about Mr. Atkins and his profession)

It seems that you are not the only one. I should too pay once more if I wan´t See the future DLC back to my hd. And I have paid already once.

It seems that the both DLC packs show the same. If I wan´t them back I should buy both. Is something going on Live or where is the problem?

off topic, but to the last blog entry:
LOL it seems the super-awesome Fable 2 custom Elite Jesus won is screwed up just like some copies of the game as well. According to Kotaku, they mixed a first generation case with the innards of a later generation. Result: A/V slot for HDMI port, so the HDMI cable hardly plugs in.
But hey, I think it's great to make the 360 edition equal to the game (catch my drift)

Fable II – See the Future (Premium) is the one on sale on the website, not Fable II - Knothole Island (Premium) as the article says.
