i've noticed that betting the max and cashing out soon as a you get a bit ahead in FortuneTower helps out. As far as spinners that's a fun tourney game but i don't play it regular haha... and keystone, well i've got my own trick for that for the tourney (i'd explain but im afraid it would take to long), its safe and not very aggressive but you (at least 98% of the time) never go below what the house gave ya

I've never been at gambling; I once paid a pound for a lottery ticket with only 5 numbers (ok so Im no at maths either) but I have a pressing question about Fable 2:

Say I go to the pub, young woman, lots of alcohol, Im bound to start seeing Albion through beer goggles (probably at Hobbe height, my balance is the first thing that goes) and say I suddenly realise, as you do, that gambling some hard earned money is a marvellous idea... will I wake up on the floor, my mouth tasting like a balverines foot, and realise that I wagered my child and my home on a poor roll of the die and the keystones crashed down leaving me penniless... homeless, and free from the responsibility of parenthood?

In any case, I would request that the ability to join the AAA (Albion Alcoholics Anonymous) would be made available to me, as without the lure of sweet sweet Albion Ale, I wouldn't have ended up with a child anyway...failing this, a token code would probably keep me occupied and help me find my way back to the path of the ... think of the children *angelic face*

In the Trial Pub Games it says something about if you get into to much debt then there maybe consequences in the Fable II world. I wonder if it is worth getting debt to unlock this additional content. Just a thought. Its also to hear that at least one more old place made it into Fable II. nice to see an update. Ill be glad when they finally patch the pub games. I find it easy enough to get lots of cash while playing cow and corset. Getting the 3 triangles and another 3 triangles isnt that hard. I just hope that lionhead doesnt take it out on everyone thinking "oh you have a lot of gold you must have cheated" and then setting all gold counts to zero. I worked for my gold

Thanks Sam for the update and the pic. Oakfields looks awesome and with the more news we keep hearing the more I can't wait for this game. Every day is 1 day closer to the release. I understand the frustration that some are having with the glitch, all games have them, it's all about choice (which is a huge integral part of Fable2) and what you want to do. I'd say they have to fix some of the other games, creating debt is too easy. I wonder what the Community Service is as well. It's a idea though.

My tactic for pub games is to play fortunes tower on highest odds, and push for a jackpot, or cash out if it's over 20... of course playing the Cow & the Corset, and getting the fourth spinner to be the spinner, can win lots of cash...

Nice tips. Also to know that debt won't affect you too terribly harshly. Been debating on buying the Pub Games because I'm leaving for LA in a few weeks (to stay for about 3 months) and may not be able to take the 360 with me. So yeah. I do enjoy the demo though!

I didn't see anything that explained how to get gold easier besides the common sense answers... hell I had 10k gold before I ever saw the exploit.

The only true questions I have is...
1) what about the hackers? No I don't mean the people exploiting the Towers bug I mean the people that hacked the Pub Games save file to obtain the gold limit of 2^31 (2,147,483,64. Is anything going to be done to them?

2) Is this patching going to fix the "glitch" with Cow and Corset 25 - 250? Not that I've encountered it, but many people say that the payout on that game is alot higher and extremely profitable than any other spinnerbox game (and if it isn't will you verify this?)

3) How many times does it take to beat a spinnerbox tournament? I'll answer it for you with another question. How much time have you got to lose?

It'd be really interesting if using the "much talked about" cheat actually affected your character in Fable II. For example, using the cheat over and over again made your character slightly more or gave him/her black fingernails.

so isn't the patch optional? it says an update is available for this game, would you like to install it? (or something like that), so couldn't you just say no and keep playing without the patch?

also, if your pub character is in debt then you simply don't have to match it up with your actual fable character. since there's 6 pub characters to choose from, i'm assuming you'll have to tell the game which of your fable heroes to give the money/debt to, so couldn't you just not link the in debt player with your hero?

I love these pub games! Gives this old granny a chance to gamble (which I never do in my real life!) just hope that I don't owe too much by the time that Fable2 finally emerges! I enjoy all three but why is it then just as I get in the money in Fortunes Tower, I always get a few lousy deals after thereby canceling out any gains?

I am addicted though and can't stop playing!

I hope more games follow in the footsteps of this great idea. Early access to these games and allowing a player to integrate their successes (or failures) into the main game when it arrives is really a step in the right direction. I really hope to see more things like this in the future.

I think instead of debt being considered a crime, there should just be assassins that hunt you down until you pay off the money. That would be pretty cool.
Oh and to all the mugs who cant read; it's "oakFIELDS" not "oakvale" and its if you OWE too much money, not OWN, that you are punished for it.
Oh and Lionhead, you guys have played your cards well, Fable 2 is looking awesome. Keep it up!

I think that rather than patch the exploit it would be great to incorporate it into the game. Treat it the way vegas would if they caught you cheating, break your legs, more or less. But seriously, wouldn't it be could if the game recognized that you had cheated and it gave you points? Also that the pub owner would kick you out for being a cheat? Maybe even be able to come back, beat up the pub owner, steal the pub from him, and start your own casino? That last part would be a bit of a stretch, but still cool if you could. It would be somewhat revolutionary to actually incorporate a cheat into the gameplay.

How will they be able to tell the difference between those that cheated and those that didn't?

I mean obviously people with gazillions of gold may be suspect, but they may also just be incredibly lucky and strategic.

While there may be people who cheated a few times who are indistinguishable from those who earned a couple of thousand or so the legitimate way.

so, I did a little bit of research on Fortune Tower(basically, I bought two decks and stuck all the 1-7s together and took the four Jokers [though it could really be any of the face cards (or even cards not used) ] ) and I played through 200 hands just keeping track of when the gate card was used, and when the hand "died" or whatever you wanted to call it when the hand is no longer playable and you go onto the next hand (I used burned before, but it was hard explaining to people who hadn't played the game yet lol). Anyway, the reason I'm writing is mainly to share a little bit of enlightenment that I've picked up. If the gate card gets used on the 3rd row, bail out. In my small sample of games, the gate card was needed 71 times on the 3rd row, and 32 times the 4th row killed the hand. And that 32 is the highest number of deaths or burns out of the whole sample. nothing came even close, the second highest was going completely out (gate card and game) at 4th hand with 22 and 3rd hand with 21. everything else was in the teens or lower, mostly lower. Anyway, yeah, it might be common sense, but still, thought I'd give you all a fair warning . I'll try and keep playing some more hands in my free time. when I can't actually be playing . Oh, and this was using 60 cards deck (the last one you get... i think) with 8 of each numbered card and 4 heroes. Hope this helps some of you .
