I find this in pretty poor taste. If the announcement is DLC, that's awesome - but can you please patch the various bugs and annoyances first?

If the announcement is a patch to fix said bugs and annoyances, it's not fair to tease us - let us know it's coming and that the relevant Lionhead folks have actually heard all of our cries for a fix.

I'm looking forward to whatever it is, either way, but at this point, with the LCE problems still a problem (I know that's Microsoft's error), the various bugs and annoyances still plaguing the game, and the fact that I've finished the game now a couple of times, I can't say this announcement has caused very much excitement for me.

Hopefully the big announcement involves a fix for the game-ending glitch that involves my dog disappearing on the last level, which leaves me unable to move as Lucien stands frozen pointing his pistol at me. He's unable to shoot and the story cannot progress seemingly because my dog, who evidently plays a huge role in this scene, has been somehow glitched out of the game and is no longer with me. Please provide a fix... I love this game and have spent 20 hours plus, but a game-ending glitch like this is a serious problem. Yes, I've posted this in the forums...

With the game nigh unplayable for so many people as-is, announcing anything less than a game-fixing patch will likely make Lionhead look like a bunch of jerks who take their audience for granted - but if it IS just a patch, then why tease it like it's some huge gift to the community when the game shouldn't have been this broken in the first place?

Pretty much any announcement is in poor taste. The only thing that should be going on at Lionhead is the patch that should have been completed before the game was released. They knew they shipped a buggy product with the idea of patching it later. I am also surprised they are giving away DLC codes to people in this sort of forum, instead of emailing the people who are posting to their support forum with DLC codes as compensation for the beta testing of their game. Maybe they figure since most people can't play the game, they can spend all day watching the developers blog instead.

The only thing they could announce soon that wouldn't be a huge disapointment (especially in light of this terrible decision to tease an announcement for a broken game) would be an update that turns co-op into the kind of full-bodied co-op that almost everyone was expecting in the first place, PLUS a patch that fixes all the bugs that are already wreaking havoc with so many peoples' copies of the game.

The ball is in your court now, Lionhead. Don't let us down. Again.

I must be the only person in the world who got a perfect copy of the game, I have had no bugs, no glitches, nothing wrong and i have logged almost four hundred thousand seconds in the game, ranked fourth on elders, that would be the console there giving away if you took part in the xbox live fable 2 weekend I would assume, Hopfully this annoucment if it is new content would be free for a LCE due to the fact we got hosed on the hobbe figure, and 800 ms points for non LCE holders, All of you people are complaining about bugs and stuff, its a new game almost all new games have bugs, you have not learned this yet, then you need to return all your games and xbox's back I have dealt with bugs since supern nintendo, its a part of life no one is perfect. And why cry because you did not get a pub game code all you needed was five dollars to reserve a copy, why be a mooch and cry.

Essenceof:

Games being released with cosmetic bugs are understandable (I wound up playing the entire second half of Fable II with a "Leave your house to exit redecorating mode" tip box burned into the top of my head, even during the the cutscenes at the end of the game), but a game being released with so many game-breaking bugs that make it impossible for many people to simply complete the game - THAT is unforgiveable. I think your opinion would be different if you'd just wasted 12 hours of your time on a game that can't even be beaten because it was rushed out the door in an unfinished state.

I highly doubt that it will be a bug fix, because they wouldn't tease us with a bug fix, and that isn't exactly a BIG announcement a big announcement would probably be DLC, an expansion or significant changes to online co-op, like being able to bring one of your heroes into a friends world, or something like that.

So while waiting a month for a patch to allow a lot of people to play the game, we might instead be getting extra content, that we can't play without a patch?
That makes sense...
A lot of people already want to get a refund for this game, and after having three heroes ruined now, so do I, but I'm a fan and don't want to just get rid of this game if there's hope it'll be fixed soon...but most people will be unable to get a full refund by the time the patch is released

Dear Developers, thank you for your updates on the game which I really like very much. I was actually a bit frightend after I heard several rants about bugs, but enjoy the game very much and havent encountered anything that would lessen the experience! Right now I am buying houses and rent them for really little money, since I am the " guy" ;-)

That said, I would ask you, if you could maybe vary the time of the postings in the blog, specially when you are posting codes, since living in another time zone - in my case europe - makes it really hard to try to be fast enough to use one of the Pub Game codes. The place where I ordered the Limited Edition did not hand out preorder codes.

It would be Fable II: The Lost Chapters already will it? When Fable I was released it was 6 months or so before FableI: TLC was released. Lionhead need to keep some secrets up their sleeve.

Cool I finally found the site. I have been playing this game for a while, but thought the fable2.com site just needed updating. I guess this is where you're suppose to go. Anyway I just tried the demo of the Pub games and got so addicted that I'm probably gonna just be sitting here waiting for a chance to win a code. Since I loved them but am completely broke. Fable 2 is awesome (the only bug I've had is no sound on 2 player mode)
Any chance of distributing the codes in a better way though (If you've got an unlimited amount why not give one to the first 100 posters instead of just 10?) I preorded the collecters edition but never got a code

make the game free in the marketplace for 1 week or less..... Funny how you cant get the achievement without buying/playing the pub game. Not to mention the LE didnt come with the DLC card nor ever got a pre-order code for pub games.

I also didn't get the pre order code for the Pub Games, but I blame the online store for that not LH.

PS: Sam, I pre-ordered the LE version in Brazil - didn't receive a code for Pub Games, or nothing more. Just a "paper case", and the bonus cd. Any chance you could email a code for Pub Games?

In Brazil they came only with the bonus CD. ( the LE )

I would be happy with fate cards and a hobbe figure.... Thats just me though.
I'm sure it will be dlc which is fine I don't mind paying for more fable 2 storyline.
I just really want those fate cards.. Now I sound as lame as the people beggin for pub games for free. All you had to do was pre order the game. Oh and pictures of the fate cards and what they would have looked like doesn't really count.

If it can not be beaten then why thousands of people already beaten the game my self included six times through? with no problems, why spend your time crying if your pissed at the game trade it in and quite wasting time, if its that horrible get rid of it, they already got your dollar, I love the game, No problems from me if you want borrow my copy, its perfect.

thanks for your awesome input I loved Fable and Fable lc but now i have a game that makes my xbox sound and act like crap can't play the game because my charater wont move and now your on the forum getting your nickers off because your game is one of millions that works. If I pay $60 for a game it should work. guesse its back to halo for me. don't i wish Bungie ruled the world.

well, i hope the announcement concerns new DLC -- not likely to be free but most welcome as a way of re-invigorating gameplay - and fuller Co-op capabilities.

Unfortunately, I developed the infamous "3 red rings" after completing Fable 2 --
and it will 3-4 weeks before I can get back into the game.

Well, if the announcement is big enough maybe Ill buy Fable 2 back, since I traded it in towards GoW2. Beating a game like this 3 times in under 2 weeks tends to make it a bit dull.
