For all of you who haven't yet played the Knothole Island add-on and haven't yet used the powers of the weather in Fable II, this Deal of the Week might chance your mind.  From today until the 5th of July Knothole Island will be just 560 MSpoints on Xbox Live!

    http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/games/media/66acd000-77fe-1000-9115-d8024d5307f1/

The price hasn't yet chanced on XBL but it should do later on today.

A couple of weeks ago we ran a competition on the Lionhead Community website - http://community.lionhead.com/win/ (now closed). The aim was to give away a rather special and unique prize to a random member of our community. Out of thousands of entrants there could only be one winner and we’re already very sorry for all of you who didn’t win, please show us mercy.

The prize included a rare Fable II branded Xbox 360 console and a copy of Fable II, both autographed by Peter Molyneux himself!  We’re very sorry for all the people who didn’t win this time, but there is a chance we’ll have another one of these prize draws very soon.

And now please join us in a big shout out, a heavy drum roll and congratulations for the winner of the Fable II Prize Draw:  Mr. Jesus T (California, USA)!  He’ll be receiving these prizes very shortly and we’re excited to see a picture of him and his new trophy!

    CONGRATULATIONS!

And because everyone here can be a winner we're giving away some codes.

    <edit>

Sorry, all code have been used, better luck next time.

    </edit>

Just to remember everyone that tomorrow our Prize Draw for a rare Xbox360 game system will be closing, so if you haven't entered already make your way to http://community.lionhead.com/win/ and follow the simple instructions to make that baby yours!

After a few more months of collecting different images of people's Heroes I've put together another collection.

You can see the previous Hero Gatherings here (1) and here (2).

P.s.: all these pics were taking straight from televisions and monitors so the quality can be a bit poor...

If you want to share a picture of your Hero, post it in this thread: http://community.lionhead.com/forums/thread/3203433.aspx. Thanks to everyone who already did so, colourful stuff!

P.s.: unfortunately we won't be giving out any codes today... more next week though!

Everyone who’s played Fable II must have started - or at least tried to start - a family at some point in the story.  As you can see on the Fable II Stats pages - http://community.lionhead.com/fable2 – some are more successful at it than others.  And depending on how they treated their spouse(s) they ended up with some siblings.  It looks like Xbox LIVE member  ‘evan1357’  did little else in the game apart from spending time in bed with his or her wives or husbands and also NOT buying condoms. Ending up with more than 500 children we’re not going to ask questions nor find the reason behind it!

A Lionhead Community Member posted a video of his flog of little brats on our forums and some of the comments from other members are priceless.  For example; “Man, do I feel sorry for your wife!” , “Guy has a softball team.” , “notice I didn’t see the wife anywhere... guess she can’t walk anymore an is stuck in bed” , “me want to start a breeding project and see how many kids I can farm”.

If you have any kind of advice for him/her, or can do even better, please let us know in the comments!

    Happy breeding!

    Oohhh what a ni-i-ight.

That’s right, every Wednesday night the Xbox Gamerchix get together on Xbox LIVE and play their favourite game!  And this week’s suggested Ladies Night game is Fable II.

Ok, overnight I’ve seen several websites and blogs post about our imminent announcement I spoke about in the blog yesterday. Some people gave me some slack for it! Let me explain this, I am an excitable guy. Working at Lionhead probably has something to do with this.

When you guys and gals asked me when the video diary is coming out, you can imagine I didn’t want to give a hard date since in the past that's caused some problems when said date didn't happen. Hence, my post from yesterday teasing that today something was going to be announced today. And, indeed, we do announce something new today.

Firstly, the final episode in the Fable II Lionhead Video Diaries about Game add-on See The Future. In this latest behind-the-scenes diary episode, the team chats about the continued storyline, wacky characters and design choices for See the Future, including the creation of 250 fun Achievement points and a trip down memory lane to the original Fable. You can check it out on the Xbox Live Marketplace (please download it) and obviously you can also grab a copy (or stream it) from our own website.

The really big important majorly huge dramatic announcement is….wait for it...the release date for See the Future! It will be available May 12th on Xbox LIVE for 560 MS Points for the premium content package. Fable II is available exclusively on Xbox 360 and is rated “M” for Mature by the ESRB and PEGI 16+.

It’s not the end of the Lionhead Video Diaries – with our two projects in the pipeline there is so much more we want to show you and talk about.

See the Future returns to the beloved world of Albion, where a set of cursed items from Murgo the Trader unleashes new challenges for players to overcome, including encounters with kooky ghost hobbes, bloodcurdling necromancers, a cursed knight and the Coliseum, where only the greatest heroes will emerge victorious to claim the ultimate prize. Of course, what would travel be without a trusty companion? The Fable II dog returns with three alter egos to guide players on their quests to see the future, in the form of a Dalmatian, Bloodhound or Husky.

In addition to fantastical new quests, creatures, characters, events and legendary artifacts, See the Future also offers free unique items* to all, including a unique soldier helmet, braided ponytail hairstyle, psycho Jester make-up, a new hero expression, the back flip trick for canine companions, and a collectible Murgo the Trader gold statue.

As an added bonus, all Xbox LIVE Silver account members are invited to join in on the adventurous LIVE co-op festivities during the Multiplayer Unlocked Weekend for free! Created specifically for Fable II fans, this Multiplayer Unlocked Weekend will be accessible in all LIVE-enabled regions where Fable II is available, starting May 8 at 12:01 p.m. EST, and concluding on May 11 at 11:59 a.m. EST.

*The free content update must be manually downloaded from Xbox LIVE and will enable those who haven’t purchased the “See the Future” premium content to continue the co-op action with their friends.

Just received some big news for everyone here who want to play Fable II alongside a celebrity. Today (23rd April) you get the chance (if you're lucky) to play Fable II in co-op with the stars from Kröd Mändoon and the Flaming Sword of Fire. I haven't heard of this new series on Comedy Central yet so I have no opinion as to whether it's G o o d [Good] or not. But if you watch it, and you like the two main stars of the show, keep reading!

Thanks to Lionhead Member FrankGrimes for letting us know on our forums, YOU can play in co-op with either Sean Maguire and/or India de Beaufort. Here are some pictures to persuade you. ;-)

    India

    Sean

Disclaimer: This is not what they're going to look like in the game. :-)

If you manage to get into a game with either of the two, please let us know!

We've all been reading the rumors recently about an Elite Xbox360 with two copies of two award winning games. Turns out it's true! I'm unclear if it's an offer only for the US or if Europe is included in this as well, but for now read this on Majornelson.

If you're after a code for the Knothole Island premiun theme, this might help:

Back in May 2007 we released the first episode in the Lionhead Video Diaries. Since then there have been eight episodes released and all of them have been about Fable II (with maybe the exception of Episode 3). We just finished the final edit on Episode Nine, with the help of Andy (the editor) this one takes a look behind the scenes and what the Fable II team has been working on; See The Future.

A lot of you have been asking me when this one will be coming out, obviously that's something that is out of my hands (and I've burned my hands many a times in the past when giving a date) but this time I think it's pretty safe to say it will be available within the next 3 weeks, so not too long to go before you find out a lot of juicy information on the next DLC for Fable II...

People are also asking what's going to be happening next with the Lionhead Video Diaries. Well, my friends, that's something I'm figuring out as I write this. There are loads of ideas floating around but all of it depends on when we announce our next game. Once I've figured out what's going to happen, you will know - but for now, stay tuned for Lionhead Video Diary - EPISODE NINE. It's been great making these!!! I hope you've all enjoyed watching them.

Finally, another load of codes for the Fable II Pub Games.

A few months ago we posted our first Hero Gathering and it was lovely to see all the different colours and clothes used to decorate the Fable II Heroes. So now it's once more time to collect all the images posted on our forums...  Here are your Heroes.

P.s.: all these pics were taking straight from televisions and monitors so the quality can be a bit poor...

If you want to share a picture of your Hero, post it in this thread: http://community.lionhead.com/forums/thread/3203433.aspx.

This is the official press release for the second game add-on for Fable II. Available this May, See the Future will build upon the story of Fable II and some familiar characters will make their return to Albion!

“See the Future” of Albion With the Much Anticipated Second Game Add-on for "Fable II"

The future of Albion awaits discovery. In the latest game add-on for "Fable II," the award-winning role-playing game that has sold more than 2.6 million copies worldwide, players will encounter challenges unlike anything a hero has faced before. Available in May exclusively on Xbox LIVE Marketplace, Microsoft and Lionhead Studios keep the “Fable II” adventures going in “See the Future,” an action-packed journey that requires players to lift the curses placed on three mysterious items that have come into the possession of Murgo the Trader.

In “See the Future,” players will be given the chance to heed the call for a hero to restore color and balance to the world, or let Albion fall to the wayside. Those who emerge victorious will receive the ultimate reward: a quest that provides a vision of Albion’s future and what lies ahead for those born into the heroic bloodline. The fantastical new quests in “See the Future” will bring players face-to-face with new characters, creatures, events and legendary artifacts, including:

Murgo: Having first met him during the childhood sequence of “Fable II,” Murgo returns to Bowerstone Market to bring an amazing array of new wares, including potions that can transform canine companions into new breeds.

The Ghosts of the Snowglobe Quest: Holding a disturbing secret, the small model village inside it was once a real town in Albion. The people who once inhabited it are now ghosts condemned to endless torment until the shadowy threat that cursed them is defeated.

The Cursed Knight Quest: Forever banished to a land beyond the dead, the Cursed Knight awaits a hero who has the strength and will to dress up in convincing costumes, even imitating a hobbe or balverine, to save him from his fate.

The Colosseum: The Colosseum puts even the Crucible to shame. Only the greatest heroes have triumphed here. Players’ abilities will be put to the test to prove themselves in combat once and for all, to win the ultimate in prizes.

In addition, “See the Future” offers free unique items* to all, including Welley’s soldier helmet and other clothing, a braided ponytail and other hairstyles, psycho Jester make-up, a new hero expression, the back flip trick for canine companions, and a collectible Murgo the Trader gold statue.

The “Fable II” “See the Future” game add-on will be available for download exclusively on Xbox LIVE Marketplace in May for 560 MS Points for the premium content package. “Fable II” is available exclusively on Xbox 360 and is rated “M” for Mature by the ESRB and PEGI 16 +. Three new screenshots from “See the Future” are available at: http://www.lionhead.com/Fable2/SeetheFuture.aspx. For more information, visit http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/f/fable2/.

    * The free content update must be manually downloaded from Xbox LIVE and will enable those who haven’t purchased the “See the Future” premium content to continue the co-op action with their friends.
