I've come back from my holiday to a Caribbean island to an office full of geeks and developers. Not that the latter is any different from the former. Man, I love this place! Fable 2 is coming along nicely and I can't wait to finally really start playing the game. Expect more on that topic in the months to come I'd presume.
Over to the reason for this new entry in our blog, it has been quite a while since the last time I wrote anything. The third episode of the Lionhead Developer Diaries has gone out, to fairly positive acclaim. Most people seem to have enjoyed the third episode. It is meant to be full of laffs, you know, things you can smile at! I've been told by some people after episode two went out that it sometimes seems like we (Lionhead) take ourselves too seriously, so this one is to show what we are like, the people behind the games. And it's in a diary style; a record of what it's like making Fable 2 and working at Lionhead Studios. Of course it promotes the game Fable 2 and there's always a tie in with that action-RPG, simply because it's what we are mostly working on here at Lionhead Studios. There's the other game of course and for those familiar with Lionhead, I'd suggest you keep an eye open in Episode Three for pillars in a different color (not the green or red ones). This will give you a clue...
There was new concept art, Bowerstone with fog and a female hero, animations of some characters, a dog, fighting moves, a shot of a boat, a dungeon being edited in the FableED etc...
I really hope these videos are a success and that people enjoy them for what they are; it seems like it but one can never be sure of course and I'd really like to continue them. I'm just starting to think about Episode Four, but there's many more planned ( especially come 2008 ) with hopefully much more Fable 2 content as well. Just understand it's not always going to be Fable 2, as much as people would love to see the game in action, we've learned from the original Fable and we don't want to show anything too early. Get it?
Anyway, work is in full swing again and next week I've got 1-on-1 action with Fable 2 planned! More about that in a future blog entry.
On my holiday the locals introduced me to a local drink called Mamajuana, a liquid viagra. Needless to say I bought myself a massive bottle of the stuff, and keep it in my cupboard at home. Bring on the next house party! ![Big Smile [:D]](/emoticons/emotion-2.gif)
