Lionhead Video Diary Episode Four

Published Friday, January 11, 2008 10:13 AM by Sam

And there was a lot of rejoicing! The latest installment of the Lionhead Video Diary is here, originally filmed in November last year it is now available for download from Xbox.com and of course our own Lionhead.com. I hope you'll enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed making it!

Expect the video diary also to be available on Xbox Live Marketplace soon.

While you are waiting for it to download you can get a quick fix (but do also download it in it's full HD glory on the Marketplace please!!!) on YouTube or one of the other game video sharing sites like Gametrailers or Gamevideos.

You can find the latest and all previous video diaries on http://www.lionhead.com/diaries/.

Official press release below:

Lionhead and Microsoft Game Studios Usher in 2008 with “Lionhead Video Diary Episode Four”

Take a Fun-Filled Behind the Scenes Tour of Lionhead  with the “Fable 2” Art and Design Teams in Episode Four, which is Available on Xbox.com and soon on Xbox LIVE Marketplace

Get up close and personal with the Lionhead art and design team members, who are hard at work on the Xbox 360 exclusive “Fable 2,” the highly-anticipated follow up to the best-selling, Xbox® exclusive “Fable®.”  Episode Four introduces gamers to additional personalities at Lionhead: Art Director John McCormack, who “hates England,” Senior Programmer Guillaume Portes, who describes himself as the modest and sophisticated Frenchman, Senior Designer Ian Wright, Senior Artist Ian Faichnie and JC Taylor, the “Bug Warlord.”

Through this video, viewers can meet the colorful characters responsible for marrying art and design, from the large-scale environments and open world of “Fable 2,”  to the smallest piece of foliage.  Additionally, JC Taylor, explains the studio’s “bug blitz” process, where the team at Lionhead focuses on ridding the game of bugs and ensuring it meets to quality levels.

As always, Lionhead keeps it light and fun as they offer gamers a sneak peek into the development of “Fable 2,” which is slated for a 2008 release.

Check out Episode Four at www.xbox.com www.lionhead.com and soon on Xbox LIVE Marketplace, where the sophisticated Frenchman goes on to explain, in detail, not only the design of “Fable 2,” but also how the “weather and food in England just don’t cut it.”

Stay tuned for more installments of the Lionhead diary series in 2008.

This is by far the best diary to date. I am really intrigued by what I both saw and heard. Lionhead is making excellent progress. Smily [:)] I cannot wait for the 5th Diary and the others after that until the release of Fable 2 later this year. I shall count the days until Fall. Wink [;)]

Lets say this now my favriote games are the halo trilogy
but interestingly enough they are no way the games i enjoy most
i enjoyed fable 1 more than any of the halo but its still not my favriote game.
Because it wasnt long enough make fable longer and youll make at least 1 person very very happy!

As always, we appreciate the inside looks that we get from you the producers.  Cheers for using one of my questions from the "call", as it seems every one has mentioned being able to actually go to the places you see instead of just looking.  One question you didn't answer though. Will there be any climbing of buildings?
