Subject: Problem registering Movies Game
Hi,
I posted a message in the forums and Woody said to contact you. The problem is that my laptop was stolen so I still had the original movies game CD's and reinstalled, then I bought again the Movies S & E and installed that. However, when I go into the online section and try to log on with my original Lionhead user id which is <username removed > and <password removed>, it says that user name has already been registered with Lionhead under a different CD key. It doesn't matter if I get a new user id either because I get the same message. I registered both games with Activision, the original movies game and S & E. I don't think it would help to go out and buy another version of the original movies game either but I would do that if it would. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Hi Lucy,
thanks for your message to Lionhead Studios.
So you've got a new cdkey for S&E and you're using the same key for the original The Movies? Is that correct?
Can you send us both cdkeys please so we can do a check in our database?
P.s.: registering the game with Activision doesn't matter for TMO; you only need a Lionhead account for that.
Kind Regards,
Lionhead Studios.

Here is the CD Key for the Movies Game <cdkey removed>- for the Movies S & E (new one I just bought) <cdkey removed>. Now both games are new. I had my first Movies Game CD way back in November 2005, but that was stolen. I then bought a new copy in the Spring - I think February. I think this is the Movies Game CD I am currently using, however, I could have bought another one AFTER my laptop was stolen (AGAIN) this last October. I've bought so many of these now, I have forgotten.

I found another CD key for the original Movies Game on my daughter's computer and it is <cdkey>.
That may be the original CD key used when I first got on Lionhead. I tried putting that key code in my system registry but I still get the same message when I go online. The funny thing is that on my daughter's computer I get online fine under my user ID. I know when I had to buy new Movies Games because my CD's were either lost, damaged or stolen, and I got online I didn't have a problem. However, this is the first time I have had to reinstall the game completely. Before I only had to use the new CD to start the game.

Hi Lucy,
Please stop buying soo many copies! You're confusing us... ;-)
Anyway, we found out what cdkeys you're using and unfortunately it's NON of the ones you sent us. We could be difficult and ask you again to check the cdkeys and send them over so we can make sure you own the correct keys.
But as they're linked to your account, we’ll trust you, here they are:
Main game (The Movies) : <cdkey removed>
Addon (S&E) : <cdkey removed>
We hope you know how to put them in the register. If not, please let us know.
Regards,
Lionhead Studios.

Thank you so much. I will change it in the registry. Looks like I had the right key but typed it in wrong in this email. My daughter's monitor is really bad and it is hard to read things like CD keys.

It worked. Thank you so much. Well I bought the extra copies because I don't like my kid's using my CD's as they demolish them or their friends take them. And I don't mind spending some money to help support this amazing software. It never has been a problem until I had to install it all over again on my new laptop and couldn't find the original Copy of the game I bought.

Hi,
That's ok. We suggest you buy a new monitor though; looking at a poor quality screen is very bad for your eyes.

Hi,
That's nice. So are all the problems solved? Can she put her movies online now?

Actually, i can now put movies online on my laptop.
And have one coming out this week. By the way I think this software is great. I have been exploring other animation and movie making software, some of which costs over $1000 and The Movies Game is the best yet for ease of use and quality of the animations.
job all of you.
