I joined for the Fable but stayed for the friends...

It was a rainy day.  Dark and damp like the winters of home.  I remember the smell... smelled like brocolli.

I was walking through the woods, surrounded on all sides by eerie looking trees and bushes when I heard a rustle a few steps ahead.  A figure lept out.  It was a buxom gypsie woman clutching a bouquet of heather and tin foil.

"A/S/L traveller?" She said.  I was confused so I asked her what this comment had meant.  She said it was a perfectly acceptable form of greeting and not a n00b offence.

"A n00b offence?" Said I. "What on Earth is one of those?"

"Its a crime.  a crime in the "other" kingdom...."

"The 'other kingdom'" I replied...

"The other kingdom is a place... A place where people can speak their minds and share their deepest thoughts and desires... So long as they don't try to bypass the censor filter... because forthwith banned are they!"

I was fed up of my mundane life... Of walking silently through the ceasless woods and so, intrigued at the thought of adventure and danger I begged the massive breasted gypsie temptress to tell me the location of this "other kingdom"

"Ye must first buy my lucky heather, for within its aromatic beauty lies the answer you seek." She said erm.. seductively I suppose.

"I see..."

"Cross my palm with silver..."

"Silver??"

"A quid will cover it, love."

Happlessly I handed over a pound I had kept in my pocket.  Fate had put it there... my lust for icecream had lead me to the fool hardy hope of stumbling across a magnum vending machine somewhere in the woods...

The gypsie woman vanished leaving only some heather sprigs and a clothes peg.  I smelled the lucky heather and behold wrapped up within the tin foil was a card on which was written "Within the maw of the Lion's head, find ye the other kingdom..."

... Actually my memories a bit hazy, I may have just googled it.

ive been around since the first fable, but just didnt register for posting. i like reading what people think of the games and such, im more of a lurker that rarely post til recently. i love how this community has come together tho.

When I was playing fable and thought 'Jeez I sure hope they're making a sequal' and so in hopes I searched 'Fable 2' in Google, and here I am, daily coming on here awaiting more news on Fable 2

It's a long story.

I had heard of a Man. A great Man. A Man so powerful, so scary, that none dared utter his name. This Man was supposedly one of the last of a dying breed. He was...an Admin!

I had gone a search of this Admin. Why? Because the Admin, quite aside from His abilities to eradicate any who displeased Him, was also granted one other ability. This secret was so terrible, it had passed into legend. It was said, that, if one joined his tribe of worshippers, honoured and obeyed Him, proved ones love for Him by a strange and courageous act far beyond the norm, then one would be rewarded! How? None would tell.

I joined his merry band of followers. I listened to his every directive, followed them slavishly, and dedicated myself wholeheartedly to the furthering of his cause. I honoured those who had pleased him, and scorned those who had not. However, my desire for this reward was too much. Much too much. I violated one of the most sacred rules of the Admin...I cloned myself. Again and again and again and again, in an effort to honour myself higher than any other before me had been honoured. However, the Admin was not pleased. He saw my feeble attempts at trickery, and laughed.

I was captured by his assistents, beaten and thrown out of the town. Mocked, shamed and scorned. I wept.
Time passed. I grew older, wiser.
And I determined to reenter to community, to win back the trust, the love of the Admin. I started low. I was forced to regain the trust that I had betrayed. However, the Admin's patience is great, and I was permitted to resume my duties.

I worked hard now, harder than ever. Nothing would stop me from my goal. And one day, it came. The Admin smiled upon my labours, and I was rewarded. 20 beautiful green dots were delievered to me as a sign of His favour. But this was...is not enough, I keep working, harder than ever, in hope of one day, one beautiful day, be privy, when the Admin retires to the great database in the sky to ponder higher mysteries, to the highest secrets of Adminship myself....

Well one fine day i was at work talking about how great xbox was and my boss overheard me. he said he used to play video games a long time ago. so i told him he should definetly get an xbox. he bought one and asked what games i liked to play. So i told him i like action, shooters and role playing games. he asked me if i've ever played a game called fable. Fable? i said. he said it was a game with swords and magic and you create your own story. he lent it to me. i immediately fell in love with it. i gave it back the next day and went to the mall and bought myself a copy. i then beat it three times in a row. once once and once how i would live my life. after i heard about FABLE2 i joind lionhead to get information on it and now i check out lionhead.com everyday for more info on my favorite game to be, FABLE2. (true story)

I actually had trouble with BnW, but then figured out there was a BnW2 planned and so I sort of became hooked. I asked the biggest bunch of obvious questions and got my ass kicked for it by Fyska and Dero. Yes, that's right, Dero kicked my ass once, and so did Fyska. Oh, and some cocky multiplayer lunatic whom I shall not mentioned hated my guts.

So, I made a new account, to redeem myself just. Thus, I became MJLover and, again, asked the typical obvious questions....

I remember joining The Big Blue Box forums in the beginning of 2003 after lurking for about half a year. But, how exactly I found the website in the first place is something I don't remember.

I remember seeing those PE "pose-shots" at IGN or somewhere and there was this familiar quality to them, I couldn't put my finger on it at the time, but when I discovered the Grimm connection, it all became clear and that was pretty much the point where I was sold and the link to B5 probably came up somewhere around here.

I Joined as soon has year 2008 came on by. At first, i hadn't heard of Lionhead until i played Fable. Hell i don't care if they say it was over-hyped it was still a great game. After a few years after i played Fable, something popped into my mind. Yeah, it was a question saying - "I wander if there will be a Fable 2?" so i googled it and it took me to the Lionhead Community. At first i didn't join because i didn't know how to set up my email address because i've not been using a computer for a long time, so i just read the information that was on it. I would visit everyday making me more determined to join the Community. So one day, i made my email adress, and yeah the first site i went after its creation was Lionhead Community. I was then sucked in as a member known has mikeofblades. So if you read something what someone posted in a topic and it makes nosense, your probably reading one of mine lol.

My son Alex gave me a laptop,swore I'd never use one. Anyway to please my
son for his wonderful gift, I very slowly learned how to get on line.
I used the search button and pushed in Fable TLC and found Lionhead .
There I discovered that was going to be a Fable 2. I was so excited about
the upcoming game . It took me about 5 tries to sign in, but I made it,
and the rest is history.
All I know it's because of all of you, I decided the internet was'nt as as
I first thought so I'm still on here learning all I can about the game and the
upcoming game.

played the first fable on xbox, couldnt wait for fable 2 so i jumped in here

are these stories meant to be truthful, or can we make them up?

I decided to get involved when I became completely addicted to the Fable games and the process of making them. I had never even heard of the LHC till about 3 months ago as practically every other website on the internet seemed to believe that they knew more about the company than Lionhead did.

I found it while searching for Fable/ game studio info in late 2006, read a lot without joining, started trying to join in mid-to-late 2007, figured out that I already had a Windows Live ID in early 2008, and have been poking my nose in Fable 2 threads ever since.  

My tale begins with sheer boredom and a broken DVD player ......

When I first went to University at the other end of the country, I couldn't get TV reception in my room, so my Guitar, Gamecube, DVD player and games magazines were my best friends. In said magazines, were reviews/tips for a certain game called Fable. Reading about eating pies to get fat, growing old and getting married intrigued me, but I was a poor student and couldn't afford an Xbox.

Anywho, my DVD player exploded not too long after getting a part-time job (I think it was sick of watching BBCs League of Gentlemen Series Three, to be honest ), so I decided to kill two birds with one stone and buy an Xbox with Fable with my 1st pay packet. (The week after I went back for the DVD player kit.... damn Microsoft! )

I fell in love with the atmos of the game, but couldn't work out the Bowerstone Cellar or find the Frying Pan...... I decided to ask on these fine forums 2 and a half years ago and haven't managed to escape yet......

I joined because i played Fable: The lost chapters for the orginal Xbox and the game blow me away. Never had i spent so much time in a video game or was ever so addicted. And so i had to keep in touch with the talented people who created the game, Lionhead

P.S. Cannot wait for Fable 2, my most annticpated game of 2008 and automatically my Game of the year for 2008.

Well here's my story.
If happened the day of the 'dog'.
GDC had come and I had been glued to loinhead.net watching for the next shred of news to emerge while the countdown continued. Finally, I had come home from school to find that there was a hidden feature revealed!
The Dog and no HUD, which after some time I am now fine with as I now understand it better.
Now, At first I was in total anger that this dog would be accompanying me around. As I always play the lone ranger. So I did what any concerned person would do.
I went to the source. LIONHEAD!!!
From there I created an angry thread addressing my dislike for the system. Ps I am very happy with the system after listening to the wonderful people from when I joined in '06
Now I am Happy and a proud member of the Lionhead Community.

Cool, I guess I make a video!

Well it's not glamorous. Back when I first started playing fable, I wanted to know stuff like how people went about certain aspects, if they had any tips that worked for specific areas, etc. Well, wittyname told me about this website, and since december 2004, We pretty muvh lurked in the shadows, never bothering to sign up. A weekly ritual was to sit down and spen about an hour looking through some of the Fable threads. Even Better when TLC was released, cause we had more to play AND read. So, the occasional lurking, up until sometime in Febuary I think, wittyname joined, and now he's a flat out lurker, but sometime in March he made me sign up, and presto. Here I am, and am always here, everyday.

I heard about Project Ego from a friend in 3D animation class back in early 2001...He told me about the aging mechanic and how your character morphs based on how you play...

It was really innovative thinking, very outside the box-ish, so I found out it was a Lionhead Satellite Project and joined the foruMs a few weeks later...

i have only posted a few times in the past. and i usually just read around trying to find out everything i can about fable 2. and im only writing now because lionhead has really meant a lot  to me after i beat fable 1 a million times. if it wasn't for lionhead i would probably be on the streets selling my body for bits of fable info. its really worse then crack to me. and i visit this site everyday for more info, sometime several times. but to get on with it i met the LHC right after i heard that fable 2 was coming out. and to make a long story short i haven't been on the computer that much since i found internet porn. so there you go lionhead your right up there with porn to me.... and thats really saying something

yeah.... I played Fable, fell in love...
wanted to go on these forums but didnt want to when I had to give personal info.- i just kind of went around spying on threads for fable 2, then I finally wanted to go on so much I made this profile; i beilive that was 2-3 years ago... it has been a damn long time!

Once I was A kid who punch all the kids and took there teddy bear from them.
I aslo destoryed boxes of stuff i wasn;t suppose to destory, on the way home i punch a guard and he said " lad never hit a guard again u better be happy u a kid or u be in jail". After this i went home and my father gave me 3 gold coins for being a lad for my deeds but also warn me about deeds so i contiuned my walk back to the shop keeper. I went to the shop keeper and bought a box of chocolate for my older sister for her birthday, she turning 13 today.

After all this i went home and got on the xbox and open my new fable game.
i love this game so much i beat it in 2 days which was crazy because i defeated it with only chain mail armor and a obsidian greatsword. That jack of blade was most hard with this stuff on. After i all done this i went to bed and i woke up next morning and saw fire all over the town and bandits killing everyone!!! i woke up sweating all over it was a nightmare.!!!

I bought the 1st Fable became an addict because its the best RPG ever(not exagerating),Got Lost chapters even better, and found my way here not to long ago because i wana know whats new with Fable2. Soon to be the best RPG game in existance.

Well it all started when I learned that life wasn't just 'Black and White' like in some sorta 'Fable' they show in 'The Movies'. In other words, your products pulled me in.

When a game *AChoo-halo-ooo* was released I was scared wondering "What am I gonna play now that this hasn't met my expectations?" that was when I remembered there would always be you.
          You lionhead, nestling me in the womb-like warmth of your Britishness. I arrived here, home, smelling as it were the allegorical cookies of happiness baked (and perhaps laced) just the way grandma would bake/lace them for me at home. You held me in your arms and stared into my eyes as if to say "you are my most beloved child", and although I had stopped in from time to time to read your updates.....only then did I realize (gets teary eyed) that.....I never Loved* you...like you had love me.
          I never asked for a puppy in Fable 2, but you, you knew what I wanted. You knew I needed a companion to give me the kind of you wished you could show me when the other members were watching. You knew that deep down, deep past my ruggedly handsome looks there was something about me that needed you. I knew when I returned and for the first time made an account here, that you would always accept me for who I was. You would pretend to laugh at my stale jokes knowing full well that they were just a pitiful attempt to raid the prize-filled cookie jar that is the Molynator.  In the end I fell for you from the moment you said "the prizes would be finger-licking". I was on you like white on rice, and out of the other communities faster than crap through a Goose!

I need you like you need better humor from me to win.

P.S. Real story, I Love what ya'll do over there and consider you to be the greatest game company on the planet (seriously). It was Fable 1 that made me like you guys and I'll be here for awhile yet (or at least until Fable 2 comes out.....then I'll be playing myself into a coma). /End Rant

How I found out about Lionhead was the first Fable game. But I didn't end up joining until I played B&W2. I just wanted to post that when your pet Wolf starts taking a dump you can see it's balls. But then I thought better of it and decided to hang around the Fable 2 forums and have fun and interesting conversations. Kind of like this one. =p

When I first found out about the Original Fable I wanted it more then anything, my mum bought it for me and my brother while we had great fun kicking chickens about and I'm sure she wondered why exactly a game where all you do is kick chickens was worth £40 (of course she didnt see all the other stuff, just me kicking a chicken then assaulting a small child).

I then bought Fable TLC when that came out as I was itching for more Lionhead action. Then it all went quite for me and I sort of missed Lionhead.

Then rumours of Fable 2 started, and as more and more info was released about it anticipation built up and I joined here mainly for the information. Then however I found the community was actually quite tight knit (especially compared to say the Halo 3 forums with its 100,000 users) and most the time you know who is posting, not personally but what type of person they are.

I stayed because quite frankly people here have some discussions, not only just about Fable 2 itself but what effect it has on the meaning and concepts behind a video game.

It's also as I found out that Peter Molynuex was also behind Theme Park and Bullfrog, and I spent countless hours on Theme Park when I was younger, then followed by Theme Hospital of course. So apparently I was a accidental fan of Peter's for some while!

My first date with Lionhead was after I had just watched an X06 interview with Peter Molyneux.  Peter Molyneux was talking about the story and said a little something about the 'Baddy' of the game, and, in so doing, I decided I wanted to find out more about him.  

I looked on the internet for the Lionhead website in hopes of finding a forum on it.  To my surprise, I did find the forums and was thinking that I would only post one thing, but that didn't happen. I posted more and more on the forums and really liked the people.  However, I got side tracked with life after a while, outside the forums, and didn't post for a while.  But, eventually, I came back with a new username because the Lionhead website had changed and I couldn't remember my password to my old account.  So, I just decided create a new account and ever since then I have been writing on the forums.  Almost like a romance story if you think about it...haha.

Well, I was walking down the street right, and then out of a bush jumped Heironymous Bosch, and he stabbed me in the back.  Now strangely, he left the knife in me, which luckily stemmed the flow of blood, thus allowing me to survive a 6 foot long blade in me.  Now, I had a friend, and he was with weapons, so i brought this little thing to him, and he said it looked like the obsidian great-sword in this game he had.  From there, things just got crazy.  then eventually, ergo, a lemur, I joined the community, hoping to find my kindred Echidna.

I joined many years ago for Project Ego/Wishworld but ended up with Fable.

It was in the summer I belive. I've been playing Fable (and later TLC) ever since it was released and I was browsing for secrets on the web when I stumbled upon a site announcing Fable 2. Exited as h*** I rushed in to Lionheads homepage lookin for the releasdate. I didn't find it. Browsed through all the links, still I didn't find what I was lookin for. I signd up for a forum account and started seching deeper...
I'm still in there... Searching... Waiting... for the leaves to turn brown...

Sorry if I don't have any fancy tales, but I'll post my story anyway.

Well, I guess it all started when I was bored (isn't that always the case with me). So like anyone who gets bored, I went to the mall and had loads of fun. Later that day, I found my brother playing on my computer and quickly kicked him out. Why wasn't I blessed with a sister I told myself, but I digress. Anyway, after disinfected my room from pest, I sat down and turned on my computer. I then surfed the infamous inter-web for some stuff. I forgot what it was exactly, but all I know was I ended up on IGN (don't ask). I guess I was really bored, so I searched for some games (little did I know I would find one without even searching for it). Then I remembered my great memories with Chrono Trigger and wanted to rekindle those old feelings again, so I searched the inter-web once again (I try not to make a habit of this), but this time my searched was for great rpg games.


After searching for a day or two, I found a couple of games and skipped to my local EB store. Sadly, they didn't have the games I wanted, but as fate would have it my friend was also searching for a game and had 2 in his hand. He started talking some gibberish (language of males), then he said something that sparked my interest. He said he bought an rpg called Fable. Personally, it sounded like an MMO, but I decided to give the game a chance and prayed my investment wasn't just a expensive drink coaster.


I think you pretty much know what happened next. You guessed it, I got hooked on Fable and got addicted. It had it flaws, but was still a great game. My love for rpgs was back, but I needed more. I craved more. So, I searched for Fable 2 (I know), and ended up on the old LH forum. I logged in, posted a few times and couldn't stop. Even when the forum got a face lift and some botox, I stayed. I did take a few months off, but came back. Currently, I just lurk the Fable 2 boards waiting for the latest F2 news. I also, do the occasional noob bashing when a silly question is posted. lol

So that's it. That's my story. Oh yeah.....................Happy 10th anniversary LH!

I've joined the Lionhead Comm just a few weeks ago, but before that time I've been a long time member of the (now closed) German fang project Lionsource. But even I've got an interesting LH-Story.

Being a Project Ego-Fan and being in the school year where your teachers make you writing applications, I wrote one (drunken) per E-Mail to Lionhead. And being drunken my English in that mail must have been even worse than my ususal bad English.

Well, then the funny thing happend. About one and a half week later, when I really didn't remember writing an application, anymore, I've got positive feedback and was ordered just to come to Guildford and talk to the one who answered my E-Mail. Anyway after that I wrote a new mail to excuse for my quite stupid Mail and of course I didn't travell to the UK.

I started looking into fable 2 a while bak.  One day i noticed taht LH had a contest
about wha we wanted to see in what i think was the third video diary so i joined the community to leave post.  However i noticed alot of information was being asked for that i could never find and alot of questions had already been answered on multiple occasions.  So i stay in contact with the community to continu he post and o have access to all the great info.

The first time i even knew anything about fable was when my brother got it in a special Xbox package that gave him The xbox (duh) and two free unknown games...fable was one of them (the other doesnt matter)...I started playing it and surly enough, because my love of rpg's and being given choices was what got me hooked...I didn't know anything about some of the promises PETER made about the game so NOTHING was ruined for me...When I heard about Fable 2 and all its wonders, Its the Only reason i could think of for getting the XBOX360 for myself and waiting soooo very long for Fable's realease...lol...

I joined the community because I saw the musical blue circles that were on the front page, whilst looking over the shoulder of a school friend.

I had to play with them so I joined up myself, my first post was about those very same musical blue circles, and the fluff one finds in your belly button.

Yep, safe to say that I definitely fitted in.

It all began when my brother got some money for his birthday so it was around october you see. He was looking at the computer war games ,as he usually does when we go to Walmart, and I (having nothing to do) was looking at the other games thats when I saw the movies. I read the back and the inside flap and it sounded like a pretty game so I ran over to my dad and asked him if it would work on our computer (its getting old for a computer anyway but its surving us well) he said it would so i ran back to my brother asked whether i could borow the money. He of course said no and said that it was his money he wants to spend it on his stuff. Well, I knew how he felt if I had birthday money I would want to spend it on myself too, so I droped the subject and sadly looked at the game while my brother looked over the other games. A few months passed it'll the end of Febuarary (I think) when one of our freinds came over showing the laptop he just got and saying how cheap it was he started playing some games on there and when I came over he was playing the demo to the game I was looking at a few months before. I watched my freind play and i decided that it was a cool game and I still had my money left from Christmas so I'd by it. That weeked when we went to Walmart and Aldis for some food I looked all over the game isle and it wasn't there. I was sad about it til my mom suggested we look on Amazon.com for it and sure enough it was there and i found there was an expansion pack too and I could get both for 30 bucks. I didn't have that much so once again I asked my brother if he had any money and he said that he had money left and hell put some money in to it. So we combined what money we had and bought them and when we were installing it it directed us to this website so here I am. I still thinks it really fun

After the first fable I was swept up in the belief that there was a dragon, a sandgoose, a singing sword, a talentless bard, a balverine egg and various other hidden mysteries. So I locked myself away for about two weeks playing through fable every day in an attempt to unlock said hidden delights. In my final hour when i was all but defeated  made my way to the source, The Lionhead forums. At the time this place was dripping with conspiracy theories about fable and my questions remained unanswered. So I hung around until all the dust had settled and nothing remained but the facts. Then as my business was done, out comes The Lost Chapters which kept me hanging around, more as a lurker though. Now that teh fable 2 hype is in full swing iv started posting again.

I guess that pretty much covers it, now im gonna go watch frasier.

I had just finished Fable, and was craving more already, so I did a lovely Google search.  And, lo and behold, Fable: The Lost Chapters was being announced.  So I favorited this loverly site and swore to return one day.

2 years later, I was deleting my favorites, and saw this.  And then I clicked on the link.  And it WAS magnificent.  And there WERE posts about "Fable 2"

that pretty much brings you up to date...  except for that time in the VW bus with 7 dwarfs and an albino who ate a lot of apples.

When Black and White 1 was in the making, I read an article about it in a games magazine. They said the company responsible for the game was called Lionhead, so I went to my friend Google and he helped me find you. Since then I became a professional lurker...
I think the first forum used I met in real life must have been Derobrash, when I went to Lionhead for Beta-testing he happened to be there too. We didn't keep in touch though.

I am more of an internet lurker or stalker then actual poster. But I heard about this game called Project ego. Tired of playing JRPGS I was Looking for something different .I was blown away by the whole concept of the world being changed by your actions and my character changed in apperance threw out the course of the game. I would check the internet everday for info on the game. But since all my computer usage was done at work. Didnt have a computer at home. The lionhead website would be blocked by the web filter at work. So I would get my info from the Project ego. net website. I think that was the address. For some reason the web filter would not pick up that site.  I eventually got a computer at home and know i can stalk the forums everday.  

Interests in Fable 2 got me here, but I am discovering more than just F2 development info. stuff!

When the 360 almost launched, there was a post on gamespot that there would be a Halo 3, Fable 2 and something else I forgot. So, I bought my 360 without a doubt because I knew that there would be a Fable 2. The only problem was that I couldn't find any info, so that was the point where I thought I should sign in on this site to search for some info. That was on 05-10-2006

i joined up only a few weeks ago even though i've been reading the forum for about 6 monthsXD. i really love fable, it's one of my favorite games(along with COD 4, bioshock and gta's) and i always like to hear things about it. Also I think that making us able to post our ideas makes it even better

I started reading posts and joined a couple weeks ago.  

I have never played Fable.  I have seen my brother play - he really got into the game.  Shortly after he failed out of school, got a divorce and lost his job I thought, "This Fable game must really be important -- for him to spend so much time and sacrifice so much... just for the game."  I forgot about the game for a while until my brother mentioned a Fable 2 coming out.  I watched some of the development videos and it looks pretty interesting.  So, I'm planning on getting it.  

I should probably play the first Fable to get a feel for the game.  Oh, I was only joking about my brother failing, losing his job and wife.  After he started playing he actually graduated, got married and then was hired on as an engineer for a top aero company.  So.... for all of the doubters and haters out there..... play fable.... I plan on it.

ive been here since B and W but joined only a few months ago and i this is how i joined: i was reading the forums as usual and i saw a person ask a very simple question, "how u get all of the hero dolls for the quest?, and i tried 2 anser it but it said i must become a member so here i am.  

What drew me to you dear Sam, to my friends and fellow visionaries of the bulletin boards, to the world and imagination of Peter Molynuex? It was a natural event.

It was the trials pursued, those ones whose ends could not be found, in the Albion of Old. It was the back of a Demon Door. It was an indestructible barrel in a place of . It was a repetition of symbol and the movements of a statues' pointing gesture. It was the utterance of words given in secrecy, their deliverers' insistence that I remember "the blue nymph crouches at a quarter past three."

It is Fable.

The intrigue, the wonder and fascination which so abruptly took hold and pulled me - mind and soul - from this mundane and grey world throwing me headlong into color. A vivid portrayal of and , the mixture of Fate and ability to Choose. For this to be of clear depiction is possible only through the living of the game.

Why did this compel me, demand of me, that I persist in the following of the true forms of Avo and Skorm - those developers working atop their shrine in Lionhead Studios. It is because I have heard from these gods. I know that the fascination, my wonder, everything that was and is Fable. I know that this is but the beginning...

Four years ago I decided to purchase a digital camera and my first computer. I never intended to go on line
Then my son came home from colledge with  THE MOVIES GAME. After playing it for the weekend I decided to keep the game and I gave him money for another.

After playing the game for a few years, I neeeded more, So I went online for the first time only months ago, Wich is were I checked out the website and liked the fact that people were sharing their movies and reviews, After much help from the community and learing a few things through the search pain I got my first movie up,and have been able to watch other movies also, Wow what a lot of talent that is out there

But in the mean time, When I am not making a movie, I enjoy being entertained by the community and enjoy all the  help and discuusions going on their.
I like this community and the fact there are people who keep the crap out of the forums,I ve seen other sites and they are awful

In the future I look forward to learing more of the game and its potential.
but for now Ill just keep it simple.

I don't think I'll start by saying anything like "once upon a time" or "one day, back in 2005" In actual fact it's quite hard for me to even begin to remember how I came across the Lionhead forums... Although I believe it was linked from somebody I knew (Jorrit, I think), who sent me a message which had something to do with the LH forums. I can only remember I was playing B&W1 and I was eagerly anticipating the release of Fable AND B&W2. I remember there were times when I used to go on #lionhead, #fable and etc and chat to a couple of people there. I can still pick a few of the names I can remember off by heart, but I've forgotten far too many.

I remember taking part in the devchat for B&W2 as well, and spoke to Peter Molyneux + the rest of the team online at that devchat, haha. God that feels like so long ago, I can't even believe it's 2008 now. Probably one of few people who thought Fable was a great game the first day I played it, including when I completed it. I can actually still remember everyone on #fable saying things like "lol i'm in arena naked and i'm winning. no magic or weapons and i'm killing everything rofl," then the odd person coming on and asking how to do this and that on Fable. As for B&W2, I can remember those people who logged on and started asking various questions, including those who asked questions about creature design. Hairstyles, breeding, what creatures will be in the game and whatever else was spoke about at that time. I have too many memories and I can't exactly type them all down onto this one little comment, and I really doubt any of it sounds exactly fascinating to be quite honest.

Well, that's all I have to say. After I eagerly waited for the release of Fable and B&W2, now I'm here awaiting the release of Fable 2. As soon as the game's out it's sure to be worth the cost, although it may have a high chance of completely consuming my life for a while. Or atleast my free time I'll have to play it in.

It was March 25, 5 day after my birthday.  I decided to buy B&W2.  As i was throwing my disciples i wondered "should i join the Lionhead community" i decided no at first.  Then i received a Xbox 360 for my birthday.  I  soon bought Fable and began marrying people then spontaneously killed them after.  I was so happy with this game, so i invited my friend Mark (extremely Emo anime freak) over to play.  He soon told me i should sign up for the Lionhead blog.  He enticed me and said Come on Alex come on.  
He quickly told me that a famous Politician named Bob played.  I was in i love people with the Name Bob.  Come on who doesn't like the name Bob.  So i signed up i checked the website then learned that there was going to be a Fable 2 coming out.  One thought came to mind suicide.  Then learned you could have children which creeped out most of my friends, but i still thought was awesome.  So i signed up and started blogin.  I love Lionhead!

I joined the great Lionhead Community because of it's amazing game developers, it's stunning graphic designers, and their spectacular producers.

I think I joined this community like anyone else...

I was drunk, and well... lets just say, outside my normal, conscious state of reality...

And of course what people do in those states is generally private, but for all of you, I am willing to let you all in on a little sercet...

So there I was, with a couple of mates, searching stupid stuff on google. We had found all sorts of funny characters and generally bright flashing lights.
But then, all of a sudden, things took a turn for the worse...

"Hey, search for a lion!"       *laughter*
"Don't be stupid, search for skulls, or heads!"      *laughter continues*

Needless to say, I really didnt want to search either. So the only 'sensible' (relative to current state of mind) thing to do was search 'Lionhead.'

2 minutes later my internet spewed out a few images, however only one really spoke to us,
"Two roads diverged in a yellow wood..." It said.
I was dumbfounded - why is this lion's head reciting poetry? And why was the only reply I could give "sorry, but I could not travel both" ?

Noone else actually heard that, so they attributed it to my current state of sleep deprivation and general level of sobriety - as in not very.

However we all agreed that it could juggle very well, considering it had no arms. How very odd.

soon after, it vanished - never to be seen again.

After all that, I was simply compelled to join the community - convinced the playful little bugger may once again pop up on my computer screen singing and juggling - a beautiful combination....................

I woke the next day - the previous night a blur. But what was this Lionhead email doing in my inbox?
But from then on, with 'Black and White' and 'Fable' kicking a lot of ***, I just decided to stick around!

I think its been worth it.

I was a sophomore in high school. I was sitting next to my faithful friend Dexter in keyboarding class (typing class). We were bored and as usual weren't paying any attention to our teacher. Instead of typing our names 50 times as per the assignment we were instead speaking of random new finds in the gaming world. We exchanged mostly RPG titles since that was our forte. As  I was looking up something having to do with mythology and an RTS somehow the word fable came into my search. About six pages into a google search I stumbled across an article on a foreign site of the Lion Head Studios. It talked about fable, but since this was a dark time before the joys of fable were released unto the world it was referred to as project ego. I was totally enthralled with this new game. Talk of children and growing trees, but most importantly choice, and the decisions that would evolve the world around you. No play through would be the same the article exclaimed. I was hooked. Unfortunately I still had at least a year until the game was released, but I joined the Lionhead Community under some name I can't even recall and posted several times. I was met with the typical n00b comments as well as help from some of the surviving members from that barbaric time. I slowly lost touch with the community after fable was released, but joined up again after TLC. Mostly I scoured for help and cheats and hints. Then once I heard the news of Fable 2, I was back into the thick of things talking of ownership and what it meant as well as other threads. Eventually I was busy again with school and a steady job, and such is my current position, but I still find the time to pop open a firefox window and surf the Lionhead Community sections every day. I still have input every once and a while, and as the information comes in and my work loads calm down I will be adding more input. As for now I just like seeing what everyone has to say on random topics, mostly Fable 2 oriented. This is one of the only communities I've been a part of for an extended period, and definitely it has been pretty cool to see things change with new sites and new members as well as old. I plan on sticking around for as long as this company continues to put out worthwhile games, which I would say is until the company dies. So for now Happy Ten Years and to many more guys. Keep up the work.

I got a lot more interested in learning about fable 2, so i went to google and clicked on a few links. This site happened to be one of them, and i figured it would also be the site that would have the latest on fable 2, so i became a member

After Mass Effect from Bioware was released, I was looking for a new communtiy for me to spend some time in lurking.

First I thought about the bungie communtiy, but there are so many people, and each of them think he has to post his thought about each and every word any one else had posted, argueing about the thuff a thierd had sayed about the one picture a fourth has made in a big teambattle, in which you can see one guy hump some one else while he shoot a banshee with his pistol, not aware that ther was a sniper that will shoot him from behind a tree, the same tree a guy once, in a other picture has parked his warthog on after he was chased by 3 of those missilepod rockets, that will track you down, as long you don't manage to trick them, in driving/running behind a rock or into a building, which should not be at least a new looking building, else it could happen that the rocket flys through a hole some where in the concrete walls, and so you can't grap the sniper, that lies only a few steps away from there where you burned body would land in a pos that would be worthy making a movie about, but the player only will make a pic of it, so that the whole *** starts looping!

Ok, Bungie was not THAT bad, but coming form BioWare it would have been a extrem change of my forum habbits, so I thought about LionHead.

My first few days I spend only watching (more or less), and figuring out who is who and whom I should not taunt (I havn't found any).

No I'm one of the many lurkers, spending thier time waiting for that one moment they could focus all thier knowledg on one post, to discripe how they feel about the whole situation, and earning the best nickname ever, while all the other keep on living with their standard nicknames, like 'Sam', 'Woody', or 'TurgonofGondoli', which they probably have fromed out of their real names, where they also could be creativ and ...

In a time I was playing the role of god in another realm, I was searching for more knowledge I could use to please my followers.
accidentally I stumbled upon this place.
After being born on the forums I checked some threats about changing the lands of eden, Which was not in my power.
I quit, and after hearing about fable 2, I went to see if i could still remember my secret  passage word and my name in this realm.

I could.
So, now I still lurk here, Down casted as a god in Eden, and not yet a hero in the new Albion.

I think it was while I was waiting for the Movies game. Though sometimes I disappear for a bit when real life gets busy, this really is my happy internet place.

When I first heard from a friend that a game called Fable was going to come out.  I thought it sounded pretty cool.  The ability to be what ever I wanted and to change the outcome of the game, I thought that this idea was amazing and had been waiting for something like this for a long time.  I went online to check it out.  The Lionhead website was a bit different then.  But I kept hearing about this guy named Peter Molyneux.  All I knew then about him was he was the one to talk to about Fable and that I couldn’t yet pronounce his name.  So I picked up a copy of Fable right when it released of course and beat it through, but I wanted more.  And to my delightful surprise Fable the Lost Chapters soon released thereafter.  
Now at this point I had not yet joined the Lionhead community.  I didn’t really know that one existed.  But years later I started hearing rumors that Fable 2 was going to be in the works.  So I raced online to see what this was all about.  And again I hear about this Peter Molyneux character.  So I figured that this guy must be important and I start reading everything that I can find about Fable 2 and Peter M.  It leads me to discover that Peter is in fact the man that had developed the game that I loved, and he not only developed Fable, but a plethora of games that I had played as a teen and love to this day.  He was the man who started Bullfrog.  I remember to this day playing Theme Park all the time.  I can still imagine the bouncy castle and the vomit on the walkways.  This is what sparked me to join.  That this man that I finally can pronounce his name is my video gaming hero.  I know he doesn’t like to hear that, but it’s true.  So I made my account and have been checking for news just about everyday since.  Thanks Lionhead for all the great times and great games.  Happy 10th.            

So basically I just joined today.  To tell you the truth, I joined mainly because of the little contest going on here.  There, I said it.  That is pretty dirty and exciting.  I ususally just come to the site to find any information I can on upcoming games like Fable 2.  How I became interested in Lionhead and Fable and how I first ended up at this site is a different story.
I had just purchased a new Xbox and I was looking for my first game.  I was never into roleplaying, mostly just first person shooters.  Of course, I decided to get that shooter everybody was playing that was called... hmmmm, I can't remember.  It had something to do with an Angel's headware.  Anyway, the guy  at the check-out counter was a real character.  I think he had some personal vendetta against Halo (I just remembered the name).  He kept trying to persuade me to buy another game.  Somehow, don't ask me how, I ended up buying Fable when I thought  I was getting Halo.  I had never even heard of Fable.  I just decided to give it a try.  I fell in love with the game.  It really opened my horizons to different types of games, rather than a FPS.  After that I came to the Lionhead site when I learned of Fable 2.  Now I have joined and this is my first post.  So it is pretty exciting on my first day with the Lionhead Community that I have a chance to win something.

Well.... I saw The Movies in a games catalogue, before I had the internet of even a computer capable of running the game, and decided that it looked interesting, and that I'd be interested in playing with it, seeing what I could do.

Two years (ish) later, I saw it on a shelf, and with vouchers in hand, bought it on the spot, completely unaware of there even being a community. Eventually, I clicked the "backdrop gallery" link, and ended up here, decided I wanted to run a competition (which I did badly), and was hooked from there.

Boring, maybe, but that's how it happened.

god where would i start ok i bought a copy of fable and played it and my girl friend played it to, she prity much fell in love with the game and she would kill me for this, but i swore her masterbateing with the case thank god she dident use the disk. i sould have mentshond by this time in my story i had lost my intrst in fable needless to say this put me back in the mood at least for the case any way, the next morning i awoke liying next to my girl friend. (we had dun it when i had court her) i looked under the sheet and shour enuf there was the case of fable and so i got on the comp and made a membership for her here and apon going online i sore fable 2 so i then made an acount for me to. i surprized her the next mouring with it may i report i never got dressed so i was still naked and so was she and we fucked again,she was so when she was exsited that was one hell of a head job. thats my story sex and fable i'll probly be band for this story but it's mine (and just to say me an my gf broke up about 2 mounths down the line and i think she has finally burnt out on fable and is just waiting for fable two and when it comes out we will probly get back together for a bit and *** while we play co op we did when playing fable one sept one was trying to play while the outher was trying to *** what a life thank you lion head)

I am playing lionhead's games seen 4or 5 years ago.
When i start was 12-13 years old. At the beggining i never watched the intros and those mini clips that represent the companies . I always tryed to skip them .
Thou years later i start checking up which company create the game what year i was released and many other that i would like to know .After a while i played again a game of lionhead , i liked that name and i search everything for this company .I learn that P.Molyneux had start from an other company and then create lionhead the same think i was and i am thinking to do .
Thou all the games lionhead have create until now are in my list of favorites.
To close my story this year i sign up to learn more for fable 2.
this is the story how i meet/learn lionhead its a bit funny but this is it .

It started two years ago when my brother told me that his college friend wouldnt stop talking talking about fable and considering that i had an xbox , i decided to buy it (with my brother being persuasive too). so within a few days of this i brought the game, its the best game i have ever brought, the lighting was perfect, the beutiful environments created seamless beuty, the story caught me unguarded and i just couldnt stop playing. After playing the game for around 6 months TLC came out and me being now a fable mad head brought that too, and i was by no means displeased, that just proved that LH team could deliver even after the big prize.

after doing everything you could do on fable TLC and completing it around 18 times, i hate to say, i got bored.

around 5 months past and my brother hinted that there was going to be a fable 2, by this time i was practically vibrating over to my computer chair with exitement. i searched for fable 2 and got a register site (fable2.com) for any e-mail updates on the game. i eventaully stumbled upon my first fable 2 video with the dog and couldnt stop smiling. i then kept searching and found Lionhead.com (bit obvious considering its the game maker lol) and signed up for the forums where i could share my ideas and wishes for fable 2.

nows the sad part... i went on various websites for release dates which were rong.. god damn them websites just wanting your money...(ok you can cry now.. its ok lol)

Fable 2 is the icing on the cake of life

Ah i came here about 4ish years ago due to the amazement of Black and White 1 and 2, both of which i bought on a whim one day and because i heard that some of the guys who made Theme Hospital had contributed to them (bullfrog i think, haha anyone remember the giant head disease?)

After playing my first two Real Time Strategy / God games to death (parents banned me from it for a while!) i decided to join the site. As it was my first time on a forum of any kind i was replying on a load of threads, even really old ones, and i got a telling of from admin and lost sooooo much karma that i was almost banned (necro bumping or something silly like that), pretty sure it was a guy with a banana avatar, he still scares me now hahaha.

Then i bought Fable on the giant black box, which was awesome and proper British! I even lent it to my girlfriend who stole it for like ever making me buy a new copy for myself! the cheek!  and even though we're together no more, (still mates) we still say random stuff like "Avatar... Why you called that then" and "I want a beer....... please" and "I'm sorry but i don't get it" in the funny accents (where were all the southerners in that game!). She even got the Lost Chapters before me! i think i then bought Battle of the Gods (verdant miricle For The Win)

I decided I loved Lionhead so much i would try to get some work experience there and, though i couldn't get it in the week the school had set, it was re-arranged to January/February, but then Microsoft bought them out and i ended up visiting in July 2007. It was bloody awesome and now I'm at college studying Games Development just so i can work there when I'm old enough.
i remember playing The Movies up there for the first time, when the Fable 2 build went kaput for a while and the other work ex guys managed to make a gay movie of the two testers, Nathan and Kiernan, shame the mic wasnt working though, i can't believe they agreed to do it! hahahaha
it was also cool being able to question and suggest ideas for Fable 2 (like if there was multiplayer, and someone said we're trying something like that but theres no garuntees so don't be too dissapointed if it isn't in the final game).

oh and if Kiernan and Nathan happen to be reading this, Tom Johnson says hi (the guy who made the photoshop image about 17 cows and stopping them with a bare hand, you can't miss it, look on the wall of fame). if they're not reading this could someone tell em to
oh yeah and i never got the wii number of the nintendo bloke there (sorry i can't remember your name) he had a virtual boy, a mini master sword and hylian shield i was like you... are... awesome! so yeah gimme your wii code dammit, i gave you mine!

(yeah you'll only think i'm not crazy if you've played fable 2 and heard the people repeated that line over and over, sometimes in a microsoft sam voice other times in a normal voice, it was kinda freaky lol. also i remember "can i have some clown pellets?", "no feck of!" and kiernan was like wahey Non Player character interaction works!
and again according to those to i was the first person outside the company to witness the birth of a baby! (well it was more of a baby just appearing in a cot, sims style)
sigh..... i miss that place....

    Well, you know me and my crazy shananigans and what-not.  You see, whilst upon a journey for some flame-roasted, I came across Lionhead, and in a rather odd way:

    'Twas a rather lonely day; some ominous and foreboding clouds were undulating toward the city, and everyone had retreated to their flats and houses.  Everyone, except for me, wandering along the road in search for some fairly descent flame-roasted.  

    Well, as I strolled along the pavement, a random hobo came upon me and said, "Ho, young citizen!  How do you fare?"  .

    And in reply, I said, "I fare fairly fairly, dear hobogan.  How do you, yourself fare?".

    The random hobo then said in reply, "Quite fairly myself, fair citizen, though the wind is anything but fair.  Hath thou ever heard of Lionhead, there?".

    Unaware of what this Linohead that he spoke of was, I said, "Why, I've never heard of it.  Would you mind explaining to me what it is, fair hobogan?".

    The Hobogan then shook his head and, with a wide grin said, "Come with me, and I shall inform you of the greatness that is Lionhead!".

    He grabbed my shirt and dragged me to a manhole that conveniently happened to be right next to him.  He lifted the lid, and jumped in, shouting, "Come along fair citizen...".

    With a girding of my loins, and a gathering of my bearings, I looked down the seemingly endless hole, and jumped in.  For about 30 seconds then, I was simply falling.  Then, all of a sudden, a sense of weightlessness came upon me, and I felt as if I were falling upwards.  And as soon as I knew it, I was flying upward towards a hole of bright and colorful light, which was getting nearer by the second.

    I was then jolted through the hole and was thrown upon a soft and digitalized dirt road.  To my left, the trail branched off, and led up a hill to a tunnel, to my right was a small corn field with a scarecrow in the centre, and behind me was a gate with a sign that read, "Barrow Fields".  I looked up, and the hobo stood before me, now dressed in a fine suit of chainmail, holding what looked like an obsidian sword.

    I said with utter confusion to the hobo, "What is this place?".

    And in reply he said, "Why, this is Oakvale, from Lionhead's most famous games, Fable and Fable: The Lost Chapters!".

    I stood up, covered with a nice suit of dark chainmail, and with a pimp hat placed neatly utop my head.  I looked to the hobo expectingly, and he said, "Come along, and I shall tell you about the wonderous company that is Lionhead Studios,".

    So, as the hobo walked away, I ran to catch up with him, looking around quite confused.  There were guards galour, and tons random citizens, including a particularly annoying man who complained rather loudly of a ghost, or something.  As we walked, and passed a merchant selling a young boy some chocolates near a pub, the hobo explained to me all of the history of Lionhead Studios.  He then brought up their website, lionhead.com.  As I thought of what I would do on the Lionhead website, there came shreiks from the gate near which I came into this world.  All of a sudden, a horde of angry bandits came upon us all, torching the buildings, and killing the innocent people.  Shreiks of a little girl came from behind me, as she was grabbed by what looked like the bandit leader with a pair of large swords placed upon his back and had her eyes cut out.

    I turned to the hobo in helpless fear and cried out to him, "How do I get home?!"

    In a desperate reply, the man said, "Take this, press the button, and when a calm menu with a list of places comes up, use this X-Box controller, and click on London, England!!", and gave me a blue and brown badge, that said "Hobos' Guild".

    I pressed the button, and when the truly calm menu popped up, I used the X-Box controller and pressed on London, England.  Just as I was being teleported, a chicken from the fire, cooked to perfection, flew from the sky into my hands.

    Then, within a matter of seconds, I appeared in the street that I came from, with a flame-roasted chicken lying in my hands...

*Above, in the first two paragraphs, I meant Flame-roasted chicken.  Sorry...

Well it first started with The Movies. I was at my local DVD & Games rental store when I saw the movies game. picked it up, thought it was and borrowed and it was . Then the next time I went back they've added Fable:TLC on pc, borrowed that It was excelent!
After that I got addicted, that was last year. but now after hours of looking for as much of Fable 2 content(without downloading) i could get my hands on, so I signed up for the fable 2 newsletter & joined lionhead community.

my mate was telling me for ages about a game that was supposedly so great it could beat the crown jewels in a fight of usefulness, so when i finally did the smart thing and purchased an X-Box... ok my mum nd dad got it from E-Bay but anyway, on that day i went into town with my friend danial, we went into gamestation(the sexiest game store ever to hit the marketing companies), and so i bought this gold encrusted jewel, only to find that it was almost as fun as SEX, who wouldve thought it possible, well lionhead made it possible, and so i i trawled through teh game taking up teh sights, such as the bordello, fishermans creek, kicken chicken, and couldnt help but wonder, will there be a newer game onto this absolutely Sexual game? and so i got my fat ass on google and searched fable 2, and to no surprise, peter had done it again, i just burst out with joy and wanted to know as much as i could find out about the game, and so i did, watching every interview on youtube, every Dev Diary, every magazine article, and then i saw coach Co-Op... taht pretty much made the game to dogs bollocks to me, and thats my story... or in short i just googled fable after playing the lost chapters(the sexiest game of its time)

I think I googled "Fable" and something about "Fable 2" came up so I googled "Fable 2" and roughly about 20-25 minutes later after reading the story I looked at the videos, watched a few and then I think I read something else and I came to this community page and I decided join for three reasons
One: Fable is made by lionhead

Two: Fable 2 is coming out and I've read a lot about Fable 1 & 2 and many seen vids and download many pictures.

Three: There's loads of other cool stuff to read, like what everyone thinks and talks about and so on.

I would like to say I have played and completed Fable, I don't remeber how many times and now I am totally obsessed about Fable 2 and I would like to say luck to Peter Molyneux and his great team of heroes on Fable 2 and future games also please hurry up I'm bored of my current games also Fable was serously cool.

The concept of it intrigued me, the graphics amazed me, and the creature made me fall in love. I knew the ape would be mine from the start. The presentations changed but the concepts stayed the same. The people I met blew my mind. The random babbling shaped my maturing. Scary that "inanimate carbon rod titan" is a shaping factor in my life, but it was.

My sister made a tiger and somehow taught it to carry a rock with it everywhere she went. I somehow managed to make my ape too afraid to poo. My people were afraid of me and loved my ape. He danced with them every chance he got.

In the end it was all a twist of fate. Reading a segment I would normally have skipped over brought me to this place, feeling the connection to the people kept me here, and knowing that in the infinite expanses of internet forums I'd found a place I could truly call home made it the only choice.
