Peter's BAFTA presentation, again

Published Tuesday, November 03, 2009 12:11 PM by Woody
Two weeks ago Peter gave a speech at BAFTA in London about video games (duh!). He talked about the history, his career in the industry, what's to come and what can be expected from Lionhead Studios and our games.

I know many articles have been written about this talk and the following doesn't offer anything new but it's the same talk with a lot of pictures. And another reason I'm putting it on our blog is because they sent us a nice email asking us to.

So big it up for SuperHappyFunTimeShow - http://shfts.com/?p=1422 !

Well I sure as hell wont be using real money for a shop in a game, please just work on another feature people will like, look at avatar clothes not many people have payed for them, and if they have it was probobally parents for kids and they wont be kids forever.

I disagree with the shop idea. I think that once we pay for the game, all we should have to pay for are expansions in the future. This idea is a horrible turnoff.

As for the article, I was wondering why is sounded so negative. That was until about half way in when the writer revealed that they were working for Sony...

Last note, I'm sad that there wasn't much in the way of Fable III news...Oh well. Hopefully we'll hear more soon.

I think BAFTA is British Academy for the Arts?

yeah, I think the in game shop idea is bad. I'm sick of paying things for the tiniest of items in game. I still haven't gotten a high rollers coat in fable 2 because Pub Games costs so damn much! Where have those days gone when a game was absolutely completely once it was shipped out to us, and once you bought it, you didn't have to pay any extra.
Another Moly fail!

BAFTA - British Academy of Film and Television Awards, I believe. Though by now you've probably googled it, or just don't care.

I just read it. Small, easy to make? And that's supposed to be all they find for additional content, from some added shop? That boat won't hold water. Can't he take a hint from Bethesda?
