This game brought me into the Lionhead Community and i love it loads and loads and loads and....loads.

Really glad i bought this game, the possibilities are endless what you can achieve with it nowadays. There are so many people who have movie making/modding talent and i am so happy to witness it all. :)

I, too, came to the Lionhead Studios forums becuase of this game. Not only is this the two year anniversary for the release of The Movies, it also marks the two years that I've spent here in the community.

I'm very happy to have been (and continue to be) a part of this fast and growing community. Cheers to Lionhead!

No matter what happens (or doesn't happen) in the future, The Movies is going to always be a special game to me, and a lot of people. Whether it was just a general mood going around at the time, or blind luck (and yes, some talented individuals over at Lionhead could have had something to do it), I'll consider this game a success because it's reached out to people in a deeper way than many better selling games have. There are so many people of all ages that have wanted to make their own movies, and you've made it possible for their dreams to be realised, at least at a blurry 384x216.

It's one of the first communities in a LONG time where I felt like doing more than just lurking. It's the sort of place where you want to get involved, and though it didn't make the news, it's spawned so many amazing fansites, member-made news , and of course, TMOA.

At it's core, though, and while the tycoon mode has its gems, what you've done with the movie-making is nothing short of amazing. It's usable, and just by being able to create my own movies, it's helped me sort out a lot of my creativity, and in fact, really given it the kick up the backside it sorely needed. I'm sure not everyone's gotten that benefit out of it, but there will be others.

Now if only you'd finish up on that little fantasy game of yours, and get back to the real gem ;)

Whatever sales or comments may say, you (Lionhead) did write History! This "game" is simply the best "thing" that happened to me since years!
You, at lionhead just don't even imagine what your software has brought, given, to me! You never will. But you all HAVE to be proud of what you made here... really!

When was this? This is the first I've heard.

Wow, I can't believe it's been two years already!! I had to get this game as soon as I saw in on the shelf. New out and as a school kid it was a bit pricey for me, but my god I don't regret it a single bit :D
It's unleashed such creation and community spirit!

I thank God, or whoever is up there(not really picky) for the Movies.
It got me into diffrent music, game styles, a few A's, and it introducded me to these Boards.

That itself is great.

Ever since I bought this game 1 month after it came out, I was addicted to it, still can't believe it's been two years since.

To be honest and I don't wish to sound like a pest, but I'd be suprised if Lionhead Studios decided to make an anniversery The Movies game with more things to do in it, there's only so many things that you can do in it, but I never can find the more realistic stuff in it.

But nonetheless, It's a wonderful game.

Wow. Almost 2 Years? Jesus.
In January I`m aregistered member for two years. And I still have enough ideas for my movies. This is a wonderful game and movie-making-tool.
Even though I love to work with The Movies, I'm sure lot's of us(including myself) are waiting for a little(bigger) brother of TM.
So what the bloody hell are you waiting for?

2 Years! Well,happy two years anniversary! The Movies is the best game (and more than a game) that I have ever played (and still play)! I'm 26 years old,and I'm crazy about this game! Thanks Lionhead,thanks!!! I have one question...if somebody knows...can we expect another expansion? It would be great that Lionhead make the expansion where we can bought more land and expand our studio,and that tourists come to movie studios on tour,and taking pictures with our stars!That would be great!!! I actually love the movies it allows me to be creative and to continue and enhance my creative abilities. The movies is the best game of all time, you never run out of ideas especially since i got the Expansion pack. I thought the sims 2 was fun, not until i played the movies and must say im in love!

I do love this game and hope they make a sequel to it. Two years this game has been out it is amazing. I love the expansion and hope they do some more things with this game. I also hope they update their prop shop soon.
