    The New Community Site: Feedback

Oh yes! A brand new community site! This is your chance to give us (Lionhead) feedback and share your first (initial) reactions. Please try and keep it polite and helpful, we are here to help and work together. Lick [:lick:]

It's taken about a year to develop this whole site, leverage it with Windows LIVE etc... while at the same time converting all the content that has been building up over the past decade. And now we've also got blogs and photo galleries and in the near and distant future we'll be adding extra features. Like for example - and this is pure speculation - possible online functionality for any of our yet-to-be-released games!

But for now....share you words of praise, or hate, with the Lionhead Online and Community Team. We'd appreciate it.

    First impressions?

What are your first impressions of the new Community Site?
    • It's alright... (31.2%)
    • Loving it! (23.1%)

    • You have a new site? (4.6%)

Re: The New Commnity Site: Feedback

    I'm liking the software.

The migration has messed up a lot of the old post's formatting, but at least they're there right? ;)

I have no idea what I am talking about

Re: The New Commnity Site: Feedback

Aye, it's pretty nice now. It's got that gloss that Vista had.

Re: The New Community Site: Feedback

The caching is a bit dodgy on the front page, I'm having to hit ctrl-f5 to see what's actually happened in the past few minutes :p

    (*whine*)

    Woo, I'm the first whiner!

    [edit]

Testing tells me that actually the last poster is being cached server side and updated periodically. Gah, the things that you'll do to save CPU cycles... Hmm [^o)]

Why are you reading this? This has no real contribution to the discussion. Read what's above!

I like it too. It's not as easy to navigate around, but I like it. I still miss our old site, but I'm so glad you kept the smilies!!!!!

Woo, finally in! Damn DNS caching. Why does the editor default to "Design" in stead of "HTML"?

What's with the "Top 100 contributor" thing? We're basing the amount of contribution on post count now? Ermm [:ermm:]

Re: The New Community Site: Feedback

    We fear change ... :o ...

I love the site, great work, and I think I prefer the way of posting ... it's a lot more polished! :o

Because it makes it a lot easier to make cool posts using the nice wysiwyg editor?

Re: The New Community Site: Feedback

I could have sworn I had 890+ karma before the change sam ... unless I missed a massive de-rep before the change :p but what do I care since there is no more rep system! :p :o

Re: The New Community Site: Feedback

The editor is a bit clumsy ... the markup drop down boxes seem to change randomly.

Edit: Yeah, Satan ... I'm quite sure I had 751 or so, not 718. Not that I care, but it's not true. :P

Me whining more: :p No automatic change from :P to Stick out tongue [:P] ? Sad [:(] I hate clicking on things when typing, it makes things so slow.

The join dates are strange... I apparently joined sometime randomly in 2004 Ninja [:ninja:]

Re: The New Community Site: Feedback

    Oh Good [Good], so maybe I didn't suffer a massive de-rep like I though. I had 332.

Re: The New Community Site: Feedback

That will be when that particular account was made perhaps?

Either that or they're going through and updating based on first post, there have been so many mergers/upgrades I should imagine it could be pulling info from anywhere. 2004 is probably correct for something Stick out tongue [:P]
