The Sirens of Oakvale, Hammer's Song

My first play through I ran up to Hannah too fast and didn't get to hear all of her song. This time I waited nearby and listened to all of it and I must say, I really like it. I wrote down the lyrics in case anybody is interested:

    Down by the reeds

    Down by the reeds

    Swim the Sirens of Oakvale

    Out to the seas

    <><>

    Down by the reeds

    Down by the reeds

    Float the souls left unbroken

    By white balverines

    <><>

    Down by the reeds

    Night blooming weeds

    Embrace those who go dancing

    In sad moonlit dreams

    <><>

    Down by the reeds

    A twisted path leads

    To banshees who breathe out

    A cold winter's breeze

    <><>

    Nobody knows

    Nobody sees

    The Sirens of Oakvale

    Down by the reeds

I really like Hammer, I know a lot of people think she's annoying, but I enjoyed the few times she tagged along on with me. Her incessant chatter was fun to listen to. Plus she has a great singing voice!!

Its a Burnley FC Song for anyone who knows who they are lol.

I also think Hammer isnt that annoying but it would have been cool if when you came back from the spire the first time, she had lost weight.

When I heard the voice for the first time I was like OH YEAH! Hot babe on my team. Then I see Hammer..........I threw up in my mouth a little.

Well I thought she was cute personality-wise.
For some reason Birdo clearly has the voice of a Japanese man in this trailer. It's like... eating a cake. You expect the cake to be delicious, but when you bite into it, it sounds like a Japanese man. See what I'm trying to say here?

Wow thanks for getting that down!

Hammer is a great character I am so happy to see a strong female in a game who isn't in danger of getting severe back problems because of her tiny frame and enormous rack.

A hidden message in the song maybe? Methinks so.

Reviving Oakvale would be an awesome DLC.  I hope they have that in the works.

Re: The Sirens of Oakvale, Hammer's Song

Hammer's cool,s he was so sad about her dad dieing cause only a hours or so ago she had argued with him. Cool song too, really sad but it does make you think of all the poor people of Oakvale that died because of that *** Reaver.

The song is obviously about the Banshees of Wraithmarsh. Sirens were mythological creatures whose voices brought men in to their death. The Banshees kill people with their voice. The first time you see a Banshee is in the Drowned Farm in Wraithmarsh (which used to be Oakvale) where there are many reeds (down by the reeds).

Sirens of Oakvale = Banshees of Wraithmarsh

it is truly a beautiful song, i do wish you could have went on more missions with the other heroes, and even have married Hanna, oh well it was a G o o d [Good] game, might as well not ruin it with what ifs and what could have beens

Re: The Sirens of Oakvale, Hammer's Song

I thought she was alright I guess... I mean it was kinda cool how she almost kinda disowned her own faith when she was a monk there... you know how she said that its all just abunch of silly storys that never did anything G o o d [Good] for anyone? I thought it was intresting about how she would question her past..

But I kinda disliked her alot too.. I mean she got in the way ALOT! And despite the way she looks she is a god awful fighter who does not even help you out at all.. sometime you would see her take 1 bandit out.. but thats it.. she would take forever to take down just 1 person... If you ask me she does not suit the hero of strength very well... I mean it would be cool to see some skillful sword play or something..

Out of all of the heros Garth Probably was the coolest and helped out the most.

Wow! I just looked up Julia Sawalha on the IMDB and saw she was Saffron from Absolutely Fabulous. I used to love that show. What's funny is one of the voices they used for the whores, sounds just like Joanna Lumley's character from AbFab. ^^ [^^]

that is a cool song, I liked Hammer until the end. Everything that she says after you pick your final choice makes me want to slap her. Otherwise, she's ok in my book
