I was unsure if this warrneted its own topic, but I seen others doing it...

Anyway after completeing the game I went to do the blind date mission for farmer Giles, I went to Bowerstone to find a partner for him, found one now I am unable to enter back into any part of Brightwood, Ive tried fast traveling and entering normally but nothing works.

Is anyone else having this problem and is there anything that can be done about it?

I am having this exact same problem, and the way to get into brightwood is to just make another quest active so it reloads the blind date quest to the start, so this freezing is just a fault in the quest. I am still looking for an answer on how to do solve it so i can o this quest as i need to complete it.

That happened to me also from doing the Blind Date quest. So I did the main quest in hopes that Brightwood would work itself out. Now my main quest has me going into Brightwood and I still cannot enter it. When I enter it the loading screen comes up, loads black screen for Brightwood and my xbox freezes. I created another character and they enter Brightwood just fine. I hope that some one is kind enough to respond on how to fix this or a patch is made for it.

Same here, started the blind date quest and can do anything else except entering brightwood forest.

Hope lionhead comes up with a solution soon!!!! Already have to many hours of gaming in to start over !!!

Same here, during the blind date quest, I find a suitible partner and try to go back to brightwood but the game crashes.

Ive put so much time into this and im devastated at the thought of having to start again.

What happens if I start again and the same happens?? This is what is putting me off this game now. I have lost faith which is a shame as I was really enjoying the game.

This ia affecting so many gamers.

I am having the EXACT same problem except i can enter Brightwood its actually West cliff i cant enter at all.

Same here, I cant enter west cliff in the main quest where you have to travel along with Hammer.

I've had this happen to me TWICE now!  I am really reluctant to start all over again from the beginning.... again.... fearful I'll just get stuck ... again. 

My husband has played much, much further into the game - passed the Blind Date quest with no problems.  He picked the male character, and I've picked the female for both of my tries.  I don't know if there is any correlation.  IF I do start a new game, I'll try with a male character and see how it goes.

I have not lost faith in Lionhead.  Fable II is overall superb in my book.  I'm hopeful for a fix to this "hitch."

I've been having the same problem but with Bowerstone Old Town. Very, very annoying.

I had pretty much finished the game and was just searching for all the Gargoyles. I now only have one missing which is in there and I can't get it.

Actually Im becoming impatient now, dispite coming to this forum with the hope that my problem could be addressed its been ignored, seemingly along with all the other complaints, what really annoys me is the annoucement of DLC.

1)Sort out the bugs in your game before releasing any new content

2)Why couldn't this DLC be released with the game, its been out for just over a month now, this DLC could easily have made it into the fnal game, oh wait Lionhead is just money grabbing, its not like they did that with TLC.

3)Oh yeah, Monyleux wheres my 200 hours you promised, did you accidentally add on an extra digit, or is the releasing of DLC meant to add to the game time played in that once all the DLC is released that will surmount to 200 hours, either way its not what you advertised.

Oh yeah, and dispite that your not going to read this, Monyleux try to prevent yourself from making silly claims in the future, along with my responable complaint, you didnt invent dogs, K?

I agree, they should atleast respond to the post.  I can't get into Brightwood and my hero's halo diminishes after a few minutes of play.  My character is a friggin beast, I don't want to start over again. Already had to restart thanks to the co-op glitch and loss all my renown 'cause I helped a friend start from childhood.

I can't enter Brightwood either, anymore.

You guys fail bad at programming, this isn't the first glitch I've encountered playing through this game. Pathetic. Absolutely pathetic.

Can you please un-break this game you charge $60 for?

Well, started all over again and discovered the exact same problem. As soon as I come back from the Spire mission I can't get into Bowerstone Old Town.

Very very annoyed now.

Is this something that could be solved if I replace the disc....or am I just stuck with it?!?

I'm having the same brightwood issue kinda sucks the last keys and gargoyles i need are in there is there a way to fix this

Well I patiently waited until the bug fix arrived. It has arrived now, yet the Brightwood issue seems to remain to exist. I am not sure if it would occur when restarting an entire new game, yet my current game still freezes when I enter Brightwood. Fact is I have done practically everything in that game except the area Brightwood with the demon doors and gargoyles to collect. I'd like to do that without having to play the entire game again.

Is there any way around the issue that anyone has noticed, except not entering Brightwoord ?

I have a similar issue, except mine is with Bower Lake.  I can enter the Heroes Cave, but nothing else in Bower Lake.  VERY FRUSTRATING!!!!   I think the issue is the Slave Trader Quest.

DUDE!!! WTF, I have held on to this game in the hopes they will fix this.  I have not played for a couple of months.  I will try it in another day or so.  I hope I can go into Brightwood when I do.  If not to the used bin with it.

I just signed up so I could post here.  Lionhead has long been my favorite video game company.  Black & White was an awesome concept, but even back then the game was filled with glitches. 

I, too, have been unable to play the game since I got to the quest where you find the guy a nice boyfriend.  Anyway, I've pretty much become a master at all the jobs including gambling which took FOREVER.  But now what? I have to start over???  There better be a patch to fix the game.  Or Lionhead might as well be giving out refunds for broken games.

I have heard of a few people resolving this and similar issues by turning off active quests, playing in offline mode and installing the game to your hard drive, I know this is not the way the game is meant to be played but if it helps get you past this point until (if) a patch arrives then its all the better... if it doesnt resolve the issues sorry for getting your hopes up.

They're not going to fix this ever. If they put time and resources into fixing this, how much money will they stand to make? NOTHING, gg

SHAME on you lionhead, your complete lack of response to such a critical problem for your customers is astounding.We pay money for your product and you cant even acknowledge there's an issue here? this thread goes back to early November last year, thats a 5 months? what the *** are you doing?
The fact is that the game you have put out into the public arena (obviously prematurely and isn't even half of what was promised in terms of features, but thats another story entirely) doesnt even FUNCTION for people that paid a premium price for your beta stage product!!! pathetic.
