I think fishing has been replaced with the shooting range, why fist fight when you can use legendary swords? The trolls make G o o d [Good] enough bosses in my opinion.

Spell check : So if there will be a Fable 3 what you guys think should be in it, like I think they should bring back fishing, fist fights, normal cutscenes and more bosses, what do you think? Tongue Tied [:S] (Just so others can understand as it took me a while to get what you meant)

    Re: ideas for fable 3

Fable has always been a fun game with alot to do sure htey should bring back teh fishing and what not but teh jobs thing was a G o o d [Good] idea. and the new spells is way cool i love teh fighting styles but the magic should be a little more elaborated like more fancy that wow's you. maybe another spell or two or like 4 or 5those are the small things. my biggest problem with it though is yes it is way fun but it is way to short i would be okay if they took another year if they would make it way longer and maybe a tad longer. and the boss fight should not just be press y. but yes i loved the crucible part.

    Re: ideas for fable 3

yeah, i have like 6 ideas:

    1) more monsters!! it gets boring fighting bandits hobbes trols and banshees with teh occaisonal spire guards every time you wander out. there should be ogres, giants, dragons, more types of trolls, and juggernauts. the juggernauts i will explain if somebody asks me because... well i'm not pete moneheugh (probably spelled wrong)

    2) more weapons, okay they have a G o o d [Good] assortion but there needs to ber more types of weapons and more legendary weapons, as well as maybe better affects for them and otehrs like a wind push teat happens when you use flourish. also i will elaborate on my idea for this as well, when you have a reaver style things adn you have to eitehr please or kil the previous woner to get the certain weapon adn sometimes they might raid thye town you live in and otehr stuff.

    3) more spells!! the spells were cool but they could improve a few like vortex which did not impress me even though it was my favorite. or force push which was fricking weak and retarded. there needs to be like three or five more spells like, a light beam that gets stronger with your G o o d [Good]ness and purity and of course the opposite for E v i l [Evil] and corrpution. and a gripping darkness spell that of course makes a pool of shadow out of which comes hadns of darkness with try to pull people down. i will elaborate on this too but only if people want me to because i don't wanna drone any more but i can't keep these ideas in.

    4) your dog, there should be a spell or soemthings to get anyother type of pet, like a balverine or a huge wolf or a bear depending on personality.

    5) the women, holy ***! this is a fantasy game yet the girls looking almost depressingly 15th century! there should hotter looking gypsies with skimpy clothes and cute faces. as well as what is probably a bad idea, having teh chance of kill the girl during sex when ur E v i l [Evil] and making her younger when you are G o o d [Good]

    6) the clothes, there are too little! OMG I CANNOT FIND A GUARD COAT BUT IT LOOKS AWESOME!! there are too little types of clothing but the dyes were a wonderful idea.

bonus) ings, everyone wants wings, wings are awesome, usable or unusable the halo is not enough and it should be made of light. both ofi those things should apear the longer you stay saint G o o d [Good], and black bat wings when you stay E v i l [Evil]. the wings start off small and the halo starts of the way it is now. but the long you stay saint the halo becomes pure light and shiny and the wings grow big and magniefecent

i love fable 2 but tehre are things in need of improvement and i smelled a sequel when Theresa said "But the spire is mine"

    Re: ideas for fable 3

The shooting range sucks and the trolls are easy and just overly boring - though the little hobbes or fricken hollow men who run around and knock you down are annoying as hell - but the legendary weapons also tend to suck. The Rising Sun for example and whatever weapon that you get from the Temple of Shadows. Like the set up in Fable didn't suck, niether did the items you got from the chests, there was actually *** in the barrels that you wasted the time to break. Granted the fairies can just stay gone. There are G o o d [Good] parts and bad to both the games. I am just sick of these like loads of legendary weapons and your just sitting there like 'wtf? another one?'

I like the addition that you can be a male or female, I wish you could dye your dog different freaky colors, and have a choice between a dog or a cat following you - only because a fish would be retarded - and maybe more modern clothing. AH! Okay, I'm like losing my train of thought.

What I do want to see is like a female hero running around pregnant... and the citizens of albion not be so easily entertained by material items - its boring. I mean, the STDs don't even affect you. They should like affect your health, or make you puff and puss. I want more lifelike consequences.

Maybe thats a bit much to ask of a game though.

Also, i think wings made of light that appear when you stand still are a fun idea. However, the tail for E v i l [Evil] seems a bit much, hell I hate how your skin turns gray and you grow horns and get all ugly. I mean, E v i l [Evil] isn't always ugly - sometimes it can be hot.

Also, why are all the male whores so f****ng ugly, I mean really. If they are trying to ply their trade, shouldn't they have G o o d [Good] hair, hott bodys and just be gorgeous. Instead you get these ugly, dirty, fat men who I would rather shoot than ***, even in real life - and I value human life. Also the girls, really, they should be cute too, with skimy skintight outfits. There needs to be more hairstyles and they shouldn't look so damn gay. The guys should just look plain yummy. And when you give your spouse an outfit, they should fricken be able to wear it and you should be able to dye their hair and clothing.

Oh, back to the pet thing, maybe in the beginning, it should be that your parents like take you to a pet shop and you like pick what animal you want. Then like your parents die tragically Cry [] and then no one really cares what happens afterwards. And you should be able to like design your own animal, what color, type and ***.

By the way, the dalmation, when E v i l [Evil], looks dumb.

    Re: ideas for fable 3

More Bosses. Something harder. They need to bring back all the things the original game had that the new one didn't, like fighting bare-handed, armor, G o o d [Good] graphics(yeah, you heard what I said), more spells, heck, the button system they had in the original was better! Not that the change in the flourish moves are bad, that's just fine. They should bring back everything touched on in the start of this thread.

Ooh! you know what, you should be able to choose what special physical changes you gain when moving along the G o o d [Good]/bad pure/corrupt scales. You could choose if you wanted this or that, but that you couldn't get every single feature. Moving in the oposite direction of which you gain these features allows you to take away one at each interval, until you're back at neutral. You could also choose to keep any changes while moving in the oposite direction, but once you remove them while in the oposite side, you woudn't be able to get them back unless you move back in the direction to get them. dE v i l [Evil] wings, angel wings, eye color, etc. But ugliness and prettiness will still be there for purity/corruption. You could choose dirtiness for corruption.

I have an idea for Fable 3 : Don't overhype it.

Now for serouis, erm. I don't really know. Bring back JoB or Scythe. Make the storyline more to home. The gameplay is fine... Just the story of number two was kinda poop.

i've been saying this ever since i beat the game. JoB should defantly be brought back. and so should Scythe liek what the hell happened to him? he never dies lol.

but i believe if JoB was back the game would be so much funner.

Also, make him unbelievably hard. and everything else should be hard in the game. I honestly feel like i'm playing a mature game thats as hard as a child's reading game. Lets make the balverines and hobbes and bandits and gaurds strong as hell. and with the troll i hate having to shoot their pimples. mabye we could brake a part of the trolls back to make, idk mabye a heart appear for us to stab.

lastly, i would loveeee for our character to move around like in assain's creed or prince of persia. we should have classes to be like a ninja, a pirate, a citizen, a hero, a gaurd, a bandit, theives, a slave trader, a trader, and an assaisin. Doing this would make the game 100Xs better. and mabye add a few more jobs (fishing job, an entertainer, a construction worker)

    Re: ideas for fable 3

oh also, i think the game would be beyond awsome if we had to start off as like an underground hero (like in jak 2). that would be so much if like the king/queen (fable2 character) had to send our child to an underground society hiding from mabye JoB, the knights abberent or something else that is about to take over albion.

Wink [;)]Wink [;)]the fable one and two game have very short story lines and the first one was the best. if you make a new one here some ideas

    1. there should be long story line so people don't beat the game in like three days.
2.need more weapon and should make the game more like the first one.
    3. when you are G o o d [Good] you should be able to bring the G o o d [Good] back to life and have them help you. and for people that like to be E v i l [Evil] the should bring up undead demon to kill everyone in towns.Whisper [:-*]
4.also when you kill people you should be able to take there weapons. Laugh []
5.maybe they could put a spell that turn you in to a animal of you choosing. like if you are E v i l [Evil] you can be a hell dog or if you are G o o d [Good]  you can be a wolf or some thing.Smoker [:zmoker:]Bandit [:bandit:]Beard [:beard:]Pirate [:aarr:]

maybe have the hero talk too

    Re: ideas for fable 3

Sure the hero could talk, but that's too general. What if there are only two different hero voices, boy and girl? We should be able to choose what voice pitch we want for them, like tenor, suprano, tenor bass and so on. Maybe if the hero talks, audibly, we should be able to choose from a bunch of different responses that can affect the relationship with whom we are talking. Like saying a specific thing passively or aggressively, and there are different things we can say passively or aggressively. This is kind of like Bethesda games, but it's not bad. Maybe get their approval or something first... re: 4. If you kill someone, you should also be able to take their CLOTHES o_O WE NEED SWORD BEHEADINGS!!! >Sad [:(] re: 5. That's a G o o d [Good] idea for a spell! >Smily [:)] The spell should be called Skorm's Aid for E v i l [Evil] transfiguration, and if the Hero is G o o d [Good], the name changes to Avo's Prayer. If he is in the neutral zone, the spell is called Archaic Summon. The Hero casts the spell and gets transformed into different demonic/angelic forms, each different one more powerful than the last, as well as time spent in the form. This is only if he casts it on himself. If he casts it at an opponent, the creature aligned with the spell level is summoned to fight with that opponent until the spell runs out or either of them dies(angels and demons don't "die"). Each level's demon, angel or nether-warrior has their own variation on look, just like the Hero's dog from Fable 2.

    Re: ideas for fable 3

Oh, and some new insults. Nutter seems to be the prevailing insult used that you can't choose to be called. There should be some stuff in there (the passage of time helps) that would really turn our heads, and by "our" I mean the gamers. If it's meant to offend, it should really do just that- offend, and not just characters in the game, cause we know that characters in the game don't have feelings, but we create, in our mind, feelings belonging to the characters. insults should really grab at us and make us think "That MOTHERF_CKING SONOFAB_TCH, I'LL/I'D SMASH HIS HEAD IN FOR SAYIN' THAT" or if not directed at us, "THAT'S RIGHT, YOU PUSSFACED FAGGOT, EAT IT". All the aspects of the game should really grab our hearts and twist them any way they want to, and insults are no different.

\ Yes, maybe even more dynamically. The hype was just way too much before Fable 2 came out, and sites were all like "Yeah, it's gonna be cool! you can effect what a camp of people turns into!" "it's gonna be sweet, a camp could eventually turn into a city with a castle over time!" and it just turns out to be very big yet very FEW and not very dynamic changes. In a way, it was kind of lame.

    Re: ideas for fable 3

Yeah, that would be kind of sweet. The king is sought after by Hero-haters, dies or leaves the land for Samarkand or some other region, with you left behind to be raised by the underground. You'd also have to cover yourself completely every time you left a Hero Safe-Zone, as not to attract attention to your veiny glows. I think it would be cool to have to be in hiding from mobs, and choose to run away, which is the neutral stance, or stand and fight. If you are successfull, you can lose them/scare them away after a while. You could also choose to demonstrate your dominance over a region by fighting back whenever people come with guns, clubs 'n' torches. After a while, they'll give up fighting you, and when that happens there will be a climax of decision-making. By choosing to execute the mob leader when he comes to plead with you, or shaking his hand, you will earn either E v i l [Evil] or G o o d [Good] points respectively, and the people in the land won't attack you, either because they can't kill you or they don't want to anymore.

    Re: ideas for fable 3

An idea for names is this: that however you dye your clothes, the prevailing general color(in the primary parts of clothing) is what people will attach to your Hero's crier name. The way they say it depends on your alignment and fame, and the specific color name they choose depends on your fame as well. How's that for improvement? Also, there could be a variation in your crier name, adding an adjective to the crier name, depending on the one descriptive action that seems to prevail over all. the use of the weapon you choose, the use of magic, or even interactions in town can all be chosen as to put in the place(as there is only one) of the descriptive action.

    Re: ideas for fable 3

I have some ideas, and I think they could work.

    Character
    * Name: Thank you Fable 2, because giving us the name Sparrow let the canon refer to the new Hero as a Sparrow for all time. This in my opinion was very wise. However, take a note from BioWare's Mass Effect, give the Hero a last name that in unisex, can be referenced in canon while allowing the player to have the majority of the control over the name.
    * Gender: Huzzah for gender equality! However, in all fairness, this is computer game and we all know how women should behave and look in it, like complete goddesses. That sounds harsh, but how about when making a character, when I level up a female character, let's make it so her strength doesn't turn her into She-Hulk.
    * Face: Why not offer a couple of facial shapes to choose from right from the begining. Also skin-colour, eye colour and so on and so forth, because then, when a unique face changes according to actions in game you have a truly unique look.
    * Family: Ok, this was cool with the kids thing and all. However, along with making the children of the hero LOOK like the hero (using above features would be cool) lets give the game a feature, say clicking on the Hero's Wardrobe in the house, give the hero the option of changing the clothing not only of his own clothing, but the clothing of his family. Also, really, there's not much to do with your family in Fable 2, is there? I mean, shag and make babies and keep them happy, right? Ok, lets make the wife/husband part of the plot, give the family more quests, make them invulnerable (but relatively weak) NPC henchmen.
    * Clothing: God damn it, make my clothes change with me, will you!
    * (Edit) Will-Lines: Come on, let's have some fun with this, if you're G o o d [Good], make them light blue/white, if you're E v i l [Evil] then make them red.

    Housing
One of my favorite features from Fable and Fable 2 was owning everything, because, let's face it, who doesn't want to own the world? However, Lionhead hit the mark with the Black and White games, making the buildings morph. Let's make it so that when you buy a building it reflects the owner, if buy a castle and you're G o o d [Good], something from a fairytale, if you're E v i l [Evil], something from a nightmare. This is purely graphical (although some G o o d [Good] quests could be thrown in) but would make the game much more immersive and give the feeling that the character is having a drastic change in the world. Also, if you buy a shop, make the shop reflect you! If I'm E v i l [Evil] and buy a clothes store, I want my clothes from there to LOOK E v i l [Evil]. If I'm G o o d [Good], I should be buying fancy clothes. Also, rented houses should have people who reflect my alignment!

    Empire
Ok, we've hit a new issue, fun. In Fable we knew all the cities were basically independent. In the sequel we saw Bowerstone forming as a capital and the rest kind of being reliant on it. Let's give Albion what it deserves for the next game: an empire. Lets make more cities. All ruled by either one or two (even three) different empires (hell, you've got yourself a plot right there, who does the hero align with and eventually rule). Also, we need a new Guild. I think it's obvious now to the people of Albion that a standing army is going to be needed or hire a guild (or maybe three, one each attribute, another plot, right there, which could work with the three empire thing). Not the Old/New Kingdom, I'm talking something different.

    Aging
First of all, put your hands up if you hate having an ageing hero?
Thought so. Can we turn this feature off? Or give us a final quest to do that. Or something. However, it would be interesting to spend the first half of the game using one Hero, only to have him die AFTER having at least one child who you spend the rest of the game as (using same stats).

    NPCs
First of all, WHAT THE HELL IS THERESA DOING BACK!? I killed her! I slit her pretty throat! I don't care if I had the option not to, because now I have to assume I was a G o o d [Good] boy and didn't. What's the point in that? Any character that can be killed in a game should never be brought back for a sequel, that is why you make UNKILLABLE NPCs. Unless you are LucasArts and give both endings while giving an explicit canon stating that the Light Side always wins, you have no right to bring back a presumably dead character without explanation. If she wasn't quite dead in the Vortex or whatever and somehow achieved divinity, fair point, I'll cop that, just tell me so IN-GAME.
    Moving on.
Some NPCs Fable 3 could use:
    * Theresa: Ok, I'm being hypocritical, I know. But in the next game, let's flesh her out a lot, like explaining how the hell she survived my sword turning her into a PEZ dispenser. She's now got potential, lets use it.
    * The Hero: From the first game, let's make more references to him.
    * Scythe: Bring back the old codger. Yes, he's important, we get that. Now bring him back, either against Theresa or with her.
    * The Spire: Not an NPC, but now definitely needed. Make it a city.
    * Jack of Blades: Hmmm, when I think about this, probably not. He's dead, mask in lava. He be Jack of Ash now. However, weren't there three of these demonic beings?
    * Thunder/Whisper/Briar Rose/Guildmaster: Ok, if we use the "Light Side is canon" thing, we can bring these back. Let's actually go where they came from, explore the world of Albion.
    * The Sword of Aeons: BRING IT BACK!
    * Rose: Ok, at the end of Fable 2 Rose is either a spirit or whatever, how about we make use of that.
    * The Animal: We had a dog, that was cool, and was useful in removing a now redundant mini-map. Shall we go one step further? Let's not only make them reflect our alignment (white labradour for G o o d [Good] dog, black wolf for E v i l [Evil]) but say, lets give them more than one animal to choose from (cats, birds, rabbits, giant spiders, badgers, the list goes on and truly makes for a more interesting character, and this can be done easily, make a freaking Pet Shop where you exchange pets).

    Jobs/Quests
How the *** did we end up with this god-damn weak excuse for way to earn money in the sequel? What genius thought up that? I think the only jobs in Fable 3 should be quests. Just make more of them. I mean, how come I can do more quests in the first game than the second? Come on, that's just being lazy!
To quote Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw, "it's f****ng boring!"
Let's scrap the earning money crap, we're supposed to be a freaking hero! Our jobs should be guarding caravans, hunting criminals, raiding caravans, robbing the rich, enslaving and so forth!
And give us more quests! LOTS more quests. That's why the Guild in Fable was so useful, because while other quests were around, you could at least find more at the Guild.

    Endings
Fable did it right. Could have used a few more quests afterwards, but the main quest had two possible real outcomes: G o o d [Good]/E v i l [Evil] (TLC did the same thing). Fable 2 epically failed in this. Here are your possible endings:
    * Raise the Dead: Everyone likes you, but hey, if you've been playing G o o d [Good], they already do, and if you're E v i l [Evil], who gives a crap if they love you? In essence, this ending was only useful for the Xbox Achievement.
    * Raise the Family: Raise from the dead a wife and children (if you had either) who you never had much affection for no matter what alignment you were because there wasn't much point to having them, nor could you do anything but piss them off, kill them, please them or shag them. Also "raise" Rose, but for such an important character to be raised, why the hell do you never see her again after, I mean what's the point? However, raising the Dog, well that is needed, because the dog is you damn map, dig spot locator and so forth. The fact you lose a NEEDED FEATURE TO COMPLETE THE f****ng GAME FULLY means you have to choose this choice if you've got any brain at all.
    * Get Some Money: Considering how far in the game you've gotten, why bother with this choice? I mean, *** it, you already own half of Albion and back, you could just sleep for 5 days and get the $1000000, even if you're G o o d [Good] and have set the rent to dirt cheap. There is no reason at all to choose this.

Basically, give us endings that mean something, and make the other endings JUST as fun (basically, don't kill the god next time and make Rose reappear).

I fully apologise for the amount of swearing in this rant, but I use them to stress my points.
