dont get me wrong, the artist is BEYOND talented and stuff, but this scene is looking like the backstreets of new york, minus the river in the middle, and idk about you guys but Fable to me is about a magical fantasy land(i know it sounds corny) and i want to slay monsters with my sword...not shoot them from 100 yards away, my point being...the Fable universe is going through the ages way to fast..it shouldn't have ever reached the point where guns were invented...but now it looks like their even making neon signs (above the door on the left right across fro the bridge)

ill still buy the game and all but im just upset that its becoming so modernized so quickly

Well, things evolve you know. And perhaps you can, As King, go "backwards" and return to the feel of the first game. Who knows.

 Well I disagree...to a degree.

   I do agree in this point about the guns and when I first heard of it I was dissapointed that Fable was going in that direction but, I welcomed it anyways. And  the one thing that I did not like about the whole gun thing in the advancement into the gun era is that they almost completley forgot about magic which was awesome in Fable one but it seems as if they slapped magic in the Face and then shot it with a gun.

   But I do welcome the new building designs and all that because now they are more advanced and they look alot better, and remember this is concept art it could be completley different! BTW that was not neon.

the backstreets of new york? You must be on crack! It looks like venice to me. Its only a few years after fable 2 so its not really a new era. If you look at the bowerstone bridge and look down the river you'll notice other bridges and more of the town that you cant really get to(it also has boat similar to the ones in the picture. I think bowerstone just grew i dont think theres a giant leap in time. Bowerstone looks like its going to be a city now rather than town. The concept art is actually making me more excited about the game. I think it would be cool to drive a boat to get from point a to point b and to mug people in creepy alley ways. The concept art makes it look like they're planning to make bowerstone massive. They can always make a prequel so its not as modernized, but I think fable 3 is going to have a lot more heroes than fable 2 (since you and the other three heroes from fable 2 probably reproduced) and I love to see how they act to a slightly more modern fable.

It's just wood with runes painted on it, not a neon sign. Remember that you'll have a choice between tradition and progress in this game and the ability to make regions more industrial, or lead them more towards their traditional rural state. If you want the old feeling just stay traditional. You may get less money from taxes but it'll give you the old feeling again.

Sweetest moment in the game? My dog came back from the dead to help me open the Rookridge Demon Door. I fed him a snack and he followed me to see what the treasure was. When I left, he disappeared, having helped his master out one final time.

It reminds me of the backstreets of London...small dingey taverns and possibly a steelwork factory at the end of the strip.

I hope they stop advancing with ages after F3, as era I prefered Fable 1 (I said as era, I didn't say I prefered Fable 1 overall). Imo they should go back to the middle ages or even the old kingdom, wander what they can make of that. As long as Fable 4 is not subtitled: Modern Warfare 3 I'm happy.

nice concepts is that the final boss + his camp . Plus I do like this era as long as it doesn't get as far as your new ''concept art'', all I say is that I prefered the old middle ages a bit more.

I heard that as king, you can choose to side with the people who want to preserve tradition at the expense of technological advancement, or side with the technologically advanced people at the expense of tradition.  This may make your regions more whimsical than others'.

I just have this fear that the 2nd half of the game is just going to be too much free roaming and side quests and the 1st half will be super short...

What i dont get is what great advancments have we seen yet? Sure thats a small cramped street with a river in the middle, its concept art. Advancing is needed in each fable game, as long as they keep the same sorts of fighting, porjectiles, melee and magic.

As king we'll be walking down the street with some members of the court and some security detail and we'll stumble upon some cockney children that suddenly break into song. Not only that, it will be a depressing song! Depending on their performance you could reward them and offer them some toppin's or you could have a member of your security detail set the alley on fire.
