    I doubt Lionhead would even give us the taste of this, if it was that complicated. What I don't understand is why the models could only be static. I remember Max having a plugin that allows the user to create an animation skeleton that sits inside the model. And then that is added to whatever game it would go to with the skeleton inside. BnW2 must not do or allow that.

    Static because doing the animated stuff would require more work to work out file formats etc.

    Fair enough, but while I'm here I want to ask about the Visual Effects Editor you have in the Landscape Editor. It's easy to use once you know how but I can't get the VFX to appear in game, even using the script command that creates an effect using a string. Any help?

    I just had a thought about the dragon creature again. Wouldn't it be easier if we created skins and use them on an exisiting creature. For starters it can be done we can replace the ape skins and get the zombie ape and replace the lion skins and get a turtle so why not this.

    Any...but preferably a creature that is not used the most in the game. Something like the tiger or the Gorilla.

    Here is a list of new buildings that will appear in-game once an exporter is created. - Mass Destruction Epic - An upgraded temple which will replace the existing one. (something bigger and similar but more pleasing to the eye of the BnW1 temple.) - Miracle Towers (basically a defense structure that will protect and out walls of your city - Vortex generator (which will basically allow the player to move about between their current lands or allow them to transport people to lands on the same map that may be seperated by masses of ocean). - And upgraded Altar which allow more miracles to be placed on it. - A SHIPYARD These plus other will feature in Black & White 2: Of Gods and Mortals

    Hey Daxter, huge fan here. I was gonna ask two things. Do you have, or are you going to have a means by which people can donate to you via paypal for your time and effort? This could give you a huge incentive to keep the mods updated and fun, and some people like myself wouldn't be stingey (I make enough to spare a bit). I guess I have more than two, I'd also like to know if this expansion mod will be for Battle of the Gods, if the Turtle will have it's sound files from BOTG, and if you could use the voice files from the original B&W for voiceovers for the gods? If you can't do that from a legal standpoint, maybe someone could contribute some voice acting for you? If it's a problem of scripting, that's understandable... At last, I have a few request, that may or may not be possible. Would it be possible to script it so that soldiers replace dead units automatically on a set timer? Maybe it could be made so that when the soldiers aren't fighting, unemployed young men might join automatically, once every 20 seconds? Can you make all mines bottomless? Nothing's more annoying for either a Good [Good] or Evil [Evil] God than running out of ore. Can you make it possible to have multiple barracks types, that create units with different looks, such as one for skeletal warriors, and one for greeks? Can you make it possible to build the buildings from multiple civilizations, or even outright controle multiple civilization types? I know some of the buildings are currently functionless placeholders, but maybe they could be given new and different functions, or somehow made functional.

    first thing: dont double post as long as you can edit. other thing: i dont think daxter will make the mines bottomless, it's one of the things which makes b&w2 a bit harder than it is (easy). so its ok. you can download a map with bottomless mines, to build a city you like. other things: lets wait for daxter to answer them

    Well first of all MY GOD, look how many questions. Well let's how I go answering them ahem ahem. Firstly I don't need people to donate, I'm happy to do it for free.(However the money in the donation could help me get a full version of 3dsMax.) Next, this game pack is for the original Black & White 2 game not BoTG(since it's still not possible), and I didn't say the turtle would be in there, but who knows and it won't have it sounds unfortunately and if someone gives me the god voices that I can use then yes otherwise I'll need a tool to create .lug files since their the only thing BnW2 will allow with sound. Next, my current unreleased AI that you are yet to see has this in it(oops shouldn't have said that. Mines will be bottomless since I will be playing it alot and don't want to run out of ore. As for different themed barracks, it could be possible when I have Max and a converter/exporter, as for ability to build the other tribe buildings if you control them, you obviously haven't read the pre-thread post I made in "BnW: Map Pack One" thread(somewhere near the end). As for straight install, it will be done. Thanks for your comments, I hope I answered them in the best way that I can. And now I have a chance to have my say, here's a couple of screenies of lands 1(modified) and 2 for BnW2: OGAM(in a higher resolution), and zoomed in shots of Land 1. Enjoy!!

    A creature grow/shrink miracle? Portals/Teleport miracle? (The portals model already exist, and the script would be reasonably simple [CODE]if ((object.x-portal.x)^2 + (object.z-portal.z)^2Internet problems fixed...

    These are definitely what I could put in, expecially the teleport miracle(the only problem will be the gestures but I guess you'd only need to click on it). The shipyard production of boats would be very difficult to produce since I don't want to make it end up like the Warcraft games and having it appear out of nowhere, so if animations could become possible upon completion of the tools being created for models then I would animate it so you can the progress of construction. Here's the layout, you would add the resources, then when enough, drop the flag somewhere, then people from the town would run over to the shipyard to collect the resources and start building it before your very eyes, then when done they would push it into the sea. The're would also be a variety of ships such as transport, war ships, resource ships etc.

    Things I would like to see. Navy -transport ships -warships(make it so units can be put on warships) -trade vessles -for units being picked up and dropped off, mabey a ladder/rope can be dropped down? Military -formations -multiple unit types -spear men, axemen, sword men (Unit's with multiple weapons.. eg: A spear man can throw his spear, or stab someone with it, then take out his sword..) -CAVALRY -chairots mabey? Units -slaves -shipbuilders -sailors -sculpters Buildings - areana's(in the TRIBES viedo, it showed a greek soldier/gladitor fighting a bear, yet it wasn't included inside the game? -proper prisions -abailty to build outside your influence -shipyard -docks Miracles -wood, food miracles -mabey a miracle to revive ore mines? -the epic miracle's could have their charge rate shortened, or mabey allow you to put your mana inside it? Gameplay -abaility to choose different races/civilizations -multiplayer mabey?(probably impossible) -skrimish modes - Well, I know it sounds like a lot, but I'm sure it would not be that difficult*mind you I know nothing about scripts and what not*

    It is great people are thinking of some things they want and when the tools come out, they may even become possible. But multiplayer and skirmish is a no this game pack is built in BnW2 and inherits BnW2 at its parent for such data. A multiplayer would only be possible if the parent game were to have it. And it doesn't. However this is only early stages and development is expected to start in 2008 after I have completed ToTC. By then it should be enough to say that everything suggested will become a part of the development of this game pack, so don't think it ain't possible because at this stage nothing is certain or uncertain.
