I don't think most people on TMO realize what potential this has. I still shake my head & wonder why people who don't do 3D animation don't jump all over this in excitement, 'cause they can do all their own overlay f/x just by playing a TM2UT map with the right TM set on it & record what they do.

This is indeed awesome work and I can't believe how cool it is, not only for The Movies but for UT2004 Great map. chemas-microsoft-comSurprise [:O]fficeSurprise [:O]ffice" />>>

Folks you can pick up UT2004 pretty cheap now and I am not kidding when I tell you that this could add some great stuff to your movies.>>

You can make movies with the UT2004 game engine with a free program called 'fraps' found at www.fraps.com (free version limits the length of recording time. Full version is only $37 dollars (US). >>

Bongoman may even know a better way to do it. Don't miss this great opportunity to use this new tool for adding to your movies.>>

I finished a simple but cool DM map, the VIP Bar on the beach. Skeltch, keep an eye on the DCMF thread for times, but we're planning a net game with a few players this time.
I'm sure we'll test this map...

    View from behind the bar...

Cocktails & gunfire on the beach, hope no VIPs are there...

I think it looks great Bongo, but its not stuff I fully comprehend. If it can expand the look and feel of TMO flicks, than I can apreciate how usefull that would be.

    Re: - TM to UT2004 -

Thanks for your comment GP. The function of this will be to create overlay action sequences for TM movies. I have mastered the art of converting TM stuff to this technology, and now that I'm a member of the DCMF team, I think it's safe to say this project will explode. They are very excited about the idea, and have some really wicked coding & production skills.

It is an online multiplayer 1st/3rd person shooter game, with 32 person capacity, filled with TM people & props & sets. When we're done, we can film a full battlefield with TM characters, each controlled by a real person somewhere in the world, acting & controlling their avatars in the virtual set just like they would on a real set. Youll also be able to go into that environment by yourself & film action, with or without automated bots in costume, for overlays for your movies. You won't need to learn a 3D program, just play the game & film on!

This is some pretty amazing stuff Bongoman. And I do have Unreal Tournament 2004, but I am not making any movies right now that require something like this. At least not yet.. Smoker [:zmoker:]

I have joined up with DCMF to try to accellerate this project, and I'm very happy I did, they're right into it and BSW has already modded his custom Dr.Hypno character into UT2004! I am still slugging away at converting models in my spare time, here's the latest.

    Re: - TM to UT2004 -

Great work Bongoman. Dr Hypno is indeed in-game and behaving as bad as ever. Seems like the Manga 5 needs to get in game too, to sort him out.

Look forward to more UnrealEd messing, so we can get some mighty maps set up.

Even if people don't use them for Movies, at least the community can have fun fragging each other. (well everyone except for me, as I am INVINCIBLE!) Big Smile [:D]

    Bongo,

This looks very very cool.  You should work up a little promo movie to advertise the functionality in all its working glory.  That beach set looks nice!

Grr, I'll get you BSW...! Arrogance goes before a fall.... ( I should know)
Here's a video, using all custom everything, with 100% TM modelas (and BSW's Dr.Hypno) on the Beach Community I'm building. We meet online there & scraop it out, BSW's the undisputed killer a this point... remorseless and relentless he is. I had great pleasure blasting Dr.Hpno, who was admittedly being controlled by the game AI in this footage... video: http://www.veoh.com/videos/v7076408da4jQJxh

And a screenie just to get in BSW's craw, heh heh heh (yes, I think they're freakin amazing too, G o o d [Good] call)

Dr Hypno looks great! Nice to see him fragging.

Damn U.C.B. zip was corrupt for me, so haven't seen the models in action yet, but The screenies are amazing.

    Re: - TM to UT2004 -

Thanks dude. Slowly the word is getting out here at TMO, though most don't understand the potential. It took no time at all for many DCMF modders to see it though, and I'm really excited about what we'll be able to do with this, it has incredible potential.

Bsw, try it again, the zip was fine for me, & we got both got it at the same place. Some mods have their own UEd's did you notice? Check out Law Dogs, it' a fantastic Western mod, with editing capabilities built right in, lol. I can't wait to start bringing in the TM western sets and characters into it, heh heh heh
