    thebiz:

No pics for you tonight but I will say theres an Aluetian Cake Baker doing a song and dance number with a flying fish jumping over his head.  So its got that working for it.  Perhaps more later.

EEK! Is the world ready for an Aluetian song and dance man? I think so Big Smile [:D]
Good to hear we're nearly there Biz... really looking forward to this one.

Norrie (Had to look up Aluetian when I got the script)

Please Riley. I'm such a pedantic grammar nazi that I struggled to use more than one exclamation point. Baby steps, baby steps Classic [:classic:]

No exclamation point for you! Come back, one year! Stick out tongue [:P]

    Couldn't resist....Classic [:classic:]

Looks like this will be quite the interesting movie, but then again, all of thebiz's work does, and usually turn out to be great stuff.

Re: O the Ocean Production Thread

17 minutes with a boatload of music, sound and vos.  Shes coming apart at the seams capn!  I have serious fears on this one as the vos sitting in their little trough are actually quaking backand forth as the movie plays.  This is a new phenomenon.  Plus Im losing sound effects and vos in the waves of sound that are going on.  Comeon baby..hold it together for daddy....I just killed 9G of temp vo files so maybe that will help eh.  O the insanity.  And I made a nifty little animated gif today but it had its own issues as it was getting out of sync and looking crappy..hard to explain..perhaps I should increase the size from 1 pixle so someone might be able to tell me if they see a problem with my O the ocean Siggy and what might be the problem.  Anyone?  Bueller?

Re: O the Ocean Production Thread

I knew I shoulda cast you as Penelope Pirate, Rysto but mrsbiz already has the spot.  Next time.  Anywho...

Worried about the possibility of exporting this bad boy and sufficiently more sober than the previous evening I got a test export done tonight that almost worked perfectly.  I spent two hours applying my own patented no sound sync bug fix and exported and it locked up about halfway through.  I tabbed out of the game and back in to get things going again(this kind of freeze actually happens to me a lot but usually in PP and not export).  I let the movie continue exporting and things actually came out ok (with maybe a 1/6 second glitch at that spot where it froze.  It gives me much hope that a successfull export will actually happen.   Some more sound work and we will be approaching the finish line.   Which is nice as my head has already moved on to my next project.

One other note...Im approaching that point where Ive watched this movie so many times I cant tell if its worth anything anymore.  Alas...

I know exactly what you mean! Don't worry about people not liking your movie...you've come this far, put in Lord knows how many hours into it...might as well release it. Wink [;)]

Re: O the Ocean Production Thread

Thanks for the words of support McCrispy and have no fear, O the Ocean is near.  Like July 27th type of near.  Between now and then I will be releasing a series of promotional posters in this thread to amuse myself and keep things current.  They will range from (bad) animations to stick figure drawings (and possibly even some stick figure animations..or not).

Heres the first.  Its a revised version of the tiny poster that I will be using on the Now Playing section of TMO.  I like it.

Anywho, more interesting news from today..O the Ocean is largely about an aquatic trip to the World's Fair.  Theres lots of fun facts about the World's Fairs of the past and I did a G o o d [Good] bit of research on the subject over the last few months.  However, I failed to notice that there is a World's Fair on right now in Spain.  And the theme of that fair?

    Water.

    Weird eh.

thebiz and I even had a fascinating discussion over the philological differences 'twixt exhibition and exposition Smily [:)]

If anyone would like a transcript? ... No?

I'm going to say it: thebiz is a genius.
    There, I've said it.

There is nothing remotely like it anywhere else in my book. That makes him a treasure we should coddle and keep to ourselves.

The Biz makes so many of my favorite films, they are just ripe with originality and humor like no other films.

I CAN NOT wait for this!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

Re: O the Ocean Production Thread

The production seems to be flowing well.

This is one I need to keep an eye on and I look forward to the final release.

Oh and the poster looks very imaginative.

Stressed over the possible death of TMO?  Well, now seems like a G o o d [Good] time for my stress reducing O the Ocean poster.  Sit back with your cerveza and watch the waves go by...or the elephants swimming or the blue man group doing hand puppets...whatever gets you through the day.
