I am not girly, I am not even remotely girly. Calling me love is as offensive as it is to call a black man a ***, it goes against every vein in my body.

Some feminists find it offensive to even delineate between the male and female sexes. Some go so far as to go the other way and be sexist towards men. I was aiming to take the stance of the later.

Well actualy you said it offended all women in your post on their and that was making you sexist your self by stereotyping women in your own way. whats not girly girly got to do with anythink?? and its not what old men say to secretaries their your being racist to both men and women their for agian picking out stereotypes. i just call every one love on a usualy basis (man and women) and i learnt that from my auntie. i also call alot of poeple matey on this forum its just that your the only person sad enough to write a full essay on why im sexist for calling some one love.

and in technical terms blaming your anger on womans perogative is no excuse and is again sexist. so before you go accusing poeple of sexism maybe you ought to look at your self first. as for my comments i havent seen many with a problem before, just you give it a rest  with the over sencitivity.

plus love is a word in yorkshire to describe almost anythink. so if you know so much about our racism and all that stuff maybe you ought to find out about our dialect too before you jump to conclusions.

Sorry, just had to point that out, no matter who it is or how you feel towards them, language shouldn't be brought into it unless you know 100% they should know better. This chap could live in Yorkshire and have adopted Yorkshire expressions but really be a Polish immigrant for all you know ... Just a thought
