Remember Dash? The guy you chased around Rookridge only to kill him with one shot while your dog was annoying him? Yeah, I don't think Lionhead really gave a shat about boss fights in Fable 2, as they're pretty much non-existent. The closest things to bosses we get are the trolls which are just glorified mobs. Remember, people: life-sim with action-rpg elements, not the other way around. T___T

You realize that with a long-range weapon and enough skill points, you can kill Dash right after his little speech while you're still standing on the balcony of the Rookridge Inn, right?

Fable ones boss fight was far from hard but still required a bit of skill to defeat.

I think regarding Lucien he may still be alive, if you look down to where he fell it's only a small drop and is water.

And anyway your a godly Hero and old and half insane maniac isnt going to put up much of a fight.

He's dead, if the shot didnt kill him the fall could have, a high enough fall and even water will kill you, and we dont know what could be in the water or how deep it is. Safe to say he wont be back.

Agreed. I always shot Lucien the head too, and apparently in the earlier posts, someone decapitated him. I have never accomplished doing so.

And as other people have said, the Hero killing [or not?] Lucien was an interactive cut scene.

you mean the powerful will user that was your bane from the very beginning of your game? the guy who set up a world spanning organization and a construction project whose size and scope the world of fable had never seen? THE GUY WHO I ACCIDENTALLY KILLED BECAUSE I LEANED ON THE CONTROLLER DURING THE CUTSCENE??!?!! yeah, i think he was too easy for an end boss...

1. Why does people assume Lucien was anything but human? I see people here calling him things like powerful will user yet the only magic we know for sure he used is that sleep spell and raise dead (the Spire Guards say something like "I thought only Lord Lucien could do that" when they see you casting it.). He was a noble. How many bullets can your high level Hero put in the Fairfax Garden nobles? Just 1? Thought so. The only time Lucien could probably pose a threat was during his powered-up Hero-powerdrain state, and that didn't last long thanks to magical mr music box.

2. Why does people assume Theresa is eee? So she's manipulative. Big deal, I find most women are Theresa in Fable II is the same Theresa from Fable I, and she's not . I've yet to see anyone claim so when talking about the first game. I see people have theories that she arranged for Hammer's father and Lucien's family to be killed, but I've yet to see anyone give some valid proof to this...

3. Yes, not having a boss fight does make it too easy (though the entire game is). But refreshing. Why does the main characters in movies/games always let the villain go on and on about his plans instead of shooting him in the head while they have a chance? Doesn't make sense. Like I previously stated, with Lucien being a normal human, a boss battle really wouldn't fit. Of course, you could've fought one of his commander-type people prior to entering the final chamber, that would have worked.

4. Lucien can be decapitated, though this seems more of a bug than rule. His character model behaves with the same ragdoll of a normal villager on occasion, which might end up with his body not falling down at all. I've decapitated him once; had a fully augmented blunderbuss ready for the sheer purpose of killing him, not knowing there was no boss battle, and one clean headshot sent his head flying and body falling down. On another run I killed him with a weak sword slice, and his body merely slumped to the ground, then rolled over and fell down.

Perfect example of a full circle ending he shot you you shot him seems very fitting
but really in most cases he did just fall down and the shot didn't seem very lethal
and I think he will be back besides the comment, "I will be back." for a clue.
Anyway he was already sucking in the power of the heroes so he probably got away with a bit left, I mean all the power he had already gained from them and the spire couldn't have just disappeared just because you shot him

If you dont shoot lucien while he is talking reaver eventually will.

Also he isnt really a boss. You cant qualify a one shot kill a boss. Even the great shard isnt that hard. Just spam it with lvl 1 lightning spell, then when it opens shot a lvl 5 force push or lightning spell. Do that like 3 times and he is dead.

He's a schemer, not a fighter. He gains followers by the charisma of his Grand Vision and raw status, and he keeps them in line by conditioning them to obedience.
The brute power comes from the tools he wields - the shards and collars, and those broken by the collars. But he, himself, is very vulnerable to anyone who can get past those.

Well, I used Dextrous Styles to shoot off his head, but it was a pretty big fall. still, he's an old guy that's got anger issues so it just says it depends on where you shoot, will, or hit him. What if your character just happens to be a horrible slaughterer who was going to run down Old Bowerstone, leave Westcliff undeveloped, and slaughter villages like Oakfield? Wouldn't Lucien's world of justice be a better alternative?

First of all don't you think you should have a big spoiler sign in the thread you've just ruined it for new players It was obviously too easy, I don't think he' dead at all yet that fall didn't seem that deep Theresa probably saved him remember she's !

nobody confirmed that she was ? nobody said she was but she is definetley not or she would of definitely  attempted to stop the hero kill lucien. i also don't believe he would be alive a master turret rifle to the head with 3 augment slots?
