    Re: Milo Info

I can't wait for Milo and Kate to come out. The tech demo was probably the most impressive thing I saw at E3.

It was impressive, but I think (even though I'm not a playstation fan) that their motion controllers were extremely impressive in their accuracy, tough call between those 2 for me.

    Re: Milo Info

I just wonder how time will pass in Milo's world in association to ours.  In the demo, they talked about school work, so if he goes to school, will there be a period of time that he's unaccessable?  Or if he goes to school when the game is off, what if you only turn it off for a few minutes and then turn it back on, what would happen then?  And as for day and night, would he have a curfew or go to sleep at a normal time for a child of his age?  What about late night gamers like me? (I usually play between 3-6 am) If you wanted to play then, and it was the same time in his world as it is for ours, how would that go?  Would his AI make him tired and ask why we're up so late?  So many questions!!!

    Re: Milo Info

Well... I guess I'm just not that impressed with this.. Yes, I'll admit that it could possibly be a breakthrough in technology for gaming. But on the other hand, why would I want to stand in front of my tv making small talk with a child? I just don't see the draw, where I would want to just sit around talking to this fake boy.

And the E3 presentation was so obviously scripted. How could you think it wasn't. Even the articles I read about it each person demoing said while they were talking to it a dev was somehow controlling it.

If they use Project Natal for games that require some movement, some action games, or even socializing with real people, mind, then yes go for it. But just a game based around chit chat.....No, not for me, and I bet if and when this does get released, it will be more of a novelty than innovative.

I just don't see the game being able to compute every word and every first name that may or may not be said to it. If you have an uncommon name, and it doesn't have it stored in its memory, is it just going to call you pal? That right there would alienate you right off the bat.

I'll need to see more of this before I jump on the Molyneux band wagon again. Usually what is said this early on is nothing like what is the end product, especially when he's involved.

The U.S.A. Great Seal; The GORLON! He's like a big ol' building wiff fur and anger, and he fliiiies tall....And he's got a big mouft, and he's got a face full of buildings which he will beat you up wiff cause he's got a building in his bucket.

    Re: Milo Info

Peter was showing Milo at GITC2009 2 days ago.

There are some pictures from the event, few things here : we can see pictures on screen "REST 20.20", a clock, "PLAY 20.45 ?" and an other one i can't read. There's also "it is never too late to have a happy chilhood" pic.

I can't wait to know what it is, and to see more about the game and i hope someone will release a video of the event soon !

    Re: Milo Info

It seems to be Dimitri yeah, some twitting people were talking about Dimitri, so...

So the Molyneux's BAFTA lecture is online since a little time now, and i take 2 screenshots from it,  there are not really interesting but that's all we got ^^. You can watch the speech (30 mins, and only 5 minutes about Natal/Milo) here : http://www.bafta.org/access-all-areas/videos/peter-molyneux-bafta-video-games-lecture,887,BA.html

Milo : And i guess that's the outside of Milo's house.

And it seems that the game starts like that : "This boy starts off when you first meet him, he has moved from the city into country side, he hasn’t got any friend (he started school in 2 days time) and he kinda sits down and  looks out to you, looks you straight in the eyes and he says « you know what ? I need a friend and you’re gonna be my imaginary friend »"

    Re: Milo Info

After seeing the demo, I am really interested in what would happen if they make a game with this tech.
IT would be a huge gigantic change in player - AI relationships.

Wargames: you can actually command your squad, talk to them plan things the possibilities are endless

Fable: *Finaly dynamic villigers Wink [;)] ?
*Befriending ai's instead of having them stuck up or marry you with limited coments.

Entire new games, gametypes, game genres and such could be made, and not just that. Movies, Storytelling, EVERYTHING can be so much more interactive.

and when internet and xbox evolve far enough. we will be able toplay stuff this great with sises over tb's and still say, oh its just 3tb lets download the DEMO Big Smile [:D] (sounds weird i know but if u look at the speed with wich these evolve. when im in my 40's - 50's this stuff will be standart or already outdated ^^ Exiting right? it is for me!)

That's a lot of names the voice actor has to do for Milo, huh?
