I don't think there'll be another patch, the game is over the hill.
They're going to focus on Fable III now.

One thing that gets me is that after you complete the main quest there are no more sales.  This makes it harder to get the money to buy real estate.

I swear the framerate is getting slower by the minute. I was going to play catch with my dog and it looked like a slo mo replay...geez. I'm really about to give up here! I'm not really interestd in starting another hero a replaying through the entire game again, but at this point deleting my existing character seems to be the only option. Please LH give us a patch/title update! Show us some love!Disappointed [:isappoin]

This happend to me as well. There's a thread on here about it. The fix people are trying is to gather up as many NPCs as possible focusing on the ones in love with you and have them killed (either by yourself if E v i l [Evil] or fast travelling to somewhere like the Howling Halls where they will get killed by enemies if G o o d [Good]). New NPCs respawn in the affected area and the slowdown doesn't seem as bad. It might take a couple of cullings but it seemed to help.

    Re: how about an update/patch?

    Problems I have encountered:

-Framerate problems with long coats. There are others but this is the most annoying seeing as I am rather fond of my Gory Glory Red Highwayman's Coat.
-Duplicate Blacksmiths, Town Criers and Game Masters in Bowerstone Market. I'm pretty sure that this has nothing to do with the growing economy but even if it did it's bloody annoying having every single announcement repeated.
-Bounty Hunt Quests - Some of these will flag as being finished as soon as I arrive in the designated region which is a bit of a disappointment at times.
    -Freezing.
-Lag in densely populated areas like Bowerstone Market and Bloodstone.
-Unresponsive NPCs. There are a couple of Game Masters that do this and one of my sons from one of my previous marriages also did this for a time.

My disc recently acquired a fantastic scratch right around the middle which has added to all of these problems. I need to wait until I come back from holiday to buy a new disc, but the above are all problems I was having before this mishap. It would be nice to see them sorted.

    Re: how about an update/patch?

a problem that ive noticed alot is that when in mele combat, if a bandit or what not is too close to you and your next to a tree or what ever, your just going to be ether elbowing or headbutting the guy until he is dead because they wont get knocked back or any thing.

    Re: how about an update/patch?

I was just playing today and ran into yet another glitch. When I started the Golden Oak Ritual and left, I couldn't select anything or anyone and kept falling through through the ground into the eternal abyss. Managed to land on an open field and fell again that time into water that never ends. Was kinda neat but had to reset the game and just get on with the quest. Sad [:(]

Same thing happened to my dog in the Hobbe cave, he went straight through the floor like he was on an elevator and appeared further down the cave only now there was an invisible wall that would not let me go any further. Lo and Behold!!! Another restart.Disappointed [:isappoin]

Am I the only one who can't talk to the merchant at Bowerstone books from across the counter? I have to wait till he comes out to clean the floor, or go behind the counter. Just wondering, never had to do this anyplace else. Also, please keep this bug list going folks. Maybe someone at LH will heed our cries!!ORLY [orly]

nope, and its not just him.

try and open a door to a house you own, interact with the deed to the place *set rent, redecorate etc* chests and other objects that you interact wiht.

just for some thing to do i start to hum a circus theam song while i run around shop keepers trying to interact wiht them .... typically i have to be right behind them for them to work.

    its a MAJOR tick OFF

    Re: how about an update/patch?

Yeah I get that problem. I don't think LH has a testing team. I've only had the game about two or three weeks and have encountered pretty much every glitch everyone mentions. I love the game but it isn't a game for people who aren't really really into this style of gameplay. Anyone else would throw the disc at the wall in frustration.

    Re: how about an update/patch?

oh im sure that they have a testing team, its just that once you get so far into programing it and every thing and the deadline is coming up, you cant fix things because if you so much as change the color of some thing it could just crash the entire game compleatly.

personally i think that just because there is a deadline, does not mean that if the game is still bugged it should be released.

    thats EA quality

    Re: how about an update/patch?

I agree whole heartedly. They definitly have a testing team. It just seems the release date was way to soon for what this game was trying to accomplish(which was a lot). I had rather see a delay of a few months for purposes of bug fixes and general gameplay and graphical polish. I think spy started this thread and it's a great one. If we tell LH whats going on in a logical and detailed way w/o profanity and ranting, but still stating our concerns, perhaps they will act. Please keep all the bugs and glitches you run into listed here and eventually they will have to take notice. There will be no way to say they didn't know about one thing or another. For comparisons sake. Fallout 3 has released ALOT of DLC with some patches included and their game released around the same time as Fable 2, so there is no reason to say it's been too long since release for a title update or patch now. In my opinion anyway.Nervous [:nervous:]

    Re: how about an update/patch?

    Another colliseum glitch.

I was trying to get the fowl player achievement so i had the chicken suit on. Then a balverine comes along and rams again. I go flying into the air (same as before) and my headpiece gets snagged onto something and is super stretched out and up!

It was very strange. Also, Fallout isnt flawless either, it has numerous glitches that havent been patched.

    Re: how about an update/patch?

just because a game is X months old does not mena it cant have DLC or patches, look at Halo 3, it got some updates not long ago.

same with Warcraft 3 and that game is X years old.

who knows, maybe we will get a DLC that will take us to BOTH where Hammer and Garth are located or some thing very different.

in ether case, LH can still patch and create DLC for Fable 2.

another bug/glitch i found was in bright wood where the balvereans appear, i got one of them to come to try and attack me so as its lunging at me i hide behind a tree .... the balverean flew AROUND the tree and still hit me ...... it was a SUPER BALVEREAN

if you look to the left after crossing the brige coming from bower lake, over where there is a chest after having gone to west clif, 2-3 normal ones will show up, after the spire, the red ones will be there

and yes, he flew AROUND the tree right at me, only happened once

I agree w/ you that FO isn't perfect. I guess no title is. I was just trying to say that no matter the age of the game problems can be addresed (I do like Bethesda's work though). Sorry if I came off as a fan boyLaugh []

Its just that i happened to notice many glitches even after the patches came through.

    Re: how about an update/patch?

It happened again! I started a new character and saved in Bowerstone cave. When I loaded the save again I couldn't go any further. I was stuck in  kind of a mid-run animation except I couldn't move forward, only back. Oh, my dog was on the other side of the "invisible wall". I think my copy of the game is cursed. It is like new: no scratches, figerprints, etc. I want to play this game so bad and it won't let me!! Help me LionHead!!!Crazy []

I need a patch too. My second hero married Lady Grey, moved her into homestead, now after the Spire quest the menu says I have a family, the quest menu tells me to 'visit the family', but she isn't there... Lady Grey went byebye...
    All hail the overlord!
