I have a pile of books to take on vacation next week, the one I'm most excited about is "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies." If nothing else, greatest title ever.

It rather depends on whether you're a fan of Jane Austen really, which could politely be referred to as something of "an acquired taste" for some. Thing is, it's not just based on Pride and Prejudice, it actually is Pride and Prejudice for the large part, with some zombie paragraphs and scenes written in along the way.

I think the author's also doing Sense and Sensibility and Sea-Monsters, btw...

A Fortress of Grey Ice by J. V. Jones.  I recently received A Sword From Red Ice as a gift, and since it's been 7 years since I read the books preceding, I had to start all over again.

Curse you, J. V. Jones, and your inability to write a novel for this series in less than three years!! Angry [:@]

It was actually very awesome, the zombie menace was a lot more involved in the story than I expected. Naturally I had to come home and make my Fable2 hero look like Elizabeth Bennet and hack apart hollow men. Does that make me weird? WTF [:wtf:]

    But 'twas quite G o o d [Good], can't wait for S&S&S now.

I'm currently reading Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov whose name I had to copy and paste from Wikipedia. It's a very interesting book, and I've found that I can hardly put it down.

Mind you, I'm slowly drifting away from it and onto Neuromancer by William Gibson which I haven't even started.

Are you talking about V, the old 80's series about the aliens?

I am reading A Lion among Men by Gregory Macguire. It is the third book in his Wicked series, which is a series of books, set in Oz. The first one shows the story from the wicked witch's perspective and is really G o o d [Good]. So G o o d [Good], they made it into a Broadway musical! However, as always, the book is soooo much better. However, these are not children's books, especially not the first. There is a lot of sex, sometimes between species.

Yes, exactly. Just bought the V: The Second Generation, which I'm gonna read after Hunting Ground. I'm doing a little quarter century celebration, and cutting short the waiting time for the new show. Smily [:)]
