Hi guys, I ask you this because this year is a special year for gamer. Last year their were only a few new games which could impress me but this year it is unbelievaible. I mean games like Black&White, FFVIII, Vampire, TF2, Q3A, Earth 2150, Ultima, Age of Empires 2, Homeworld and a lot more. Which games should I buy???? In Germany almost any game costs 80DM but I get every month only 100DM and from this money I must pay my Internet bills, too. One way to get all this games is copying all. I hate this way and don´t do something like that because I programm myself and know how hard it is to make such a game. I hate people who copys game or other application because they don´t know what they do with copying CDs. I like it the way holding my money and buy a game when I have enough ´cause I love game manuals and the smell of the hard earned boxes for which I tried to hold money many months long. I´m proud to show my friends all these boxes from games in my shelves which I bought. I think I must buy all this games till the next Christmas. My private favourites are Black&White(I´m excited to have this game and hope this will be to Christmas), Tf2, Q3A and Age of Empires 2. The news are that I have enough money for almost 7 games of this year. The other I must buy next year. What games are you excited for???

I can't wait for: Theme Park World (or perhaps Sim Theme Park if you are in the states) The Sims Black and White (of course ) and Dungeon Keeper 3 (sorry P.M. )

the reason this year seems better than the last is usually because most of the games that you think will be really great either get delayed, cancelled or end up as crap. just my cynical opinion. . .

Pants has a point, this time last year there also quite a few games that sounded great and people were looking forward to: Tiberian Sun, Outcast, Aliens vs. Predator, DK2, Q3A (should have been out by now), and some others... And the games of NEXT year always look better than the games of THIS year... Thats one of the annoying things about the human psyche: when we don't have sometihng it looks really , when we do have it it just looks normal, when don't have some thing bad we don't notice, and when we do have something bad we hate it. Basically we always look on the bad side of life and ignore the side. Personally the only game that sounds special to me is Black & White because its supposed to change what computer games are about, moving away from simply testing the skill of the player. Computer games have got stuck in the groove of just being about operating the controls and learning a set way of beating the game. Hopefully games like B&W will expand what computer games are about and open up new horizons of interactivity. Wow! I could write hype with lines like that...
