Well, I noticed that earlier on in this thread in regards to Online Community and Stunts and Effects switching places constantly on The Movies boards. It was dismissed as trivial by Woody. Stick out tongue [:P]

But yeah, I've seen all the boards going a bit spastic. Guess it isn't so much of a problem, it's just wierd. Stick out tongue [:P] And means I can no longer navigate by touch alone.

I navigate by smell. It's very liberating...

Have any of you noticed this? I haven't recieved any VC for 3 of my reviews yet and it's been a day.  Shouldn't it do it right away when someone leaves a review?

Re: The New Community Site: Feedback

This is a thread for the new forums/community website. It has nothing to do with the TMO website.

Try refreshing your browser. Often I find VC updates when you send some or edit your studio page...it's a bit odd. Stick out tongue [:P] Sometimes the system is really slow and takes a few days.

All in all, I wouldn't worry about it. It updates eventually.

Why does the forum like to randomly say "Bad Request (Invalid Hostname)"... Bah all the problems with this forum (goes to vbulletin forum and enjoys its smoothness)..

I'm having a similar problem when I try to access my profile. It says:

We are currently unable to serve your request

We apologize, but an error occurred and your request could not be completed.

This error has been logged. If you have additional information that you believe may have caused this error please report the problem here.

Most of you have your "Joined on" Dates displayed displayed under your avatars.  Is there an option in the profile to display this?  I was just curious to see how long ago I joined.

Re: The New Community Site: Feedback

Well, my information is not always bang on because I'm technically an idiot, but I do believe that many people lost this information when the forums changed. It's not a profile option as far as I can see and many others have pointed out that their join date is mysteriously absent.

Just one of those things I s'pose.

Re: The New Community Site: Feedback

I believe it's only older users who have that issue... I'm guessing those who joined after a certain date (perhaps before one of the other address changes or something?) have theirs shown, while those who joined before that date don't have their join dates in the database or whatever.

    Or something.

I blame jetlag. Paranoid [:aranoid:] It's killed my brain!

Something with a greater power might not want us here, bad spirits maybe haunting this forum and it must be our fine duty to clean it up.

Disciples disciples disciples save us from this and drive the bad spirits out of the people doing this.

You use your live ID for the forums, but use your login that you used to sign up when you created your account when you installed your game.

You use your live ID for the forums, but use your login that you used to sign up when you created your account when you installed your game.

Indeed, you have to define a seperate password for The Movies Online website which does not use Windows Live ID.  You could read this part of the FAQ for more info: http://community.lionhead.com/extra/csfaq.aspx#lh2.

Re: The New Community Site: Feedback

Hey, I missed a few years from this community (was here back in the TM pre-release days). I like the new forum so far, but I have a question. Is there a "mark all topics read" button somewhere? There are an awful lot of topics I haven't seen (more than 9000 pages of topics) and not intending to read them.

I don't like the new forum. I dislike the idea of having to sign up for Windows Live ID just to use the forum. And I think I lost all my bookmarked threads. The new layout also annoys me. Oh well

Looks like you and I and the rest of the comunity are stuck with it for G o o d [Good].  It really isn't THAT bad.  It's just reputation that is knocked out of the equation.

Re: The New Community Site: Feedback

Just read in a computer magazine where they had the top ten biggest failures on the internet, the second one was windows live id - i really couldnt agree more, it's slow, buggy and just of no G o o d [Good] use.

At the moment i sadly dont use much time on the forums here anymore, i still love the community but it really still needs some big updates to be enjoyable, hell even my vbulletin forum hosted on my really not reliable host runs better than this site, too many bugs and just small things that annoys you everywhere (like the smileys and that you cant start typing in a message before everything has loaded)
