What's this I hear on the grapevine?

EthanRunt, The 'Ultimate' TMOer, has waited a little until things were a-go on his next film project before announcing, after so many failed attempts to get projects going.

Back in 1948 two men worked their asses (or arses) off for a case involving murder, mystery and intrigue in one of Hollywood's biggest studios.

When GJL Studios had links to actresses deaths two down and out men in one Investigation firm were taken on to work the case as Hollywood outsiders, not known, no feet in any doors, except their own, but they did it so often the medical insurance was through the roof, another problem with that building, seriously, it wasn't up to code for during the War, let alone then. And soon enough the case snowballed into a full-fledged attack, chase horror, which still haunts the wards of the now abandoned studio lot.

Jack Morrison, P.I. stars in his own take on the events in the motion picture "The Stars Don't Shine So Bright"

With a cast so far including Rjb2112 as Craig Dawson, the humble and loyal assistant to the harebrained Detective, JudyAnne88 as the Nurse, Kuroken and theMGMGKid as two cops on the hunt, themonk as the old man, Clifton Jackson, SnakeEater42 as Karl Goldman Junior and Bricksfilms as his Hired Goon and TFoster and Kit06 as a hobo and a barfly, it's going to be an insane interpretation of the infamous events, and by infamous I mean the opposite of famous, heck, I had to dust off cobwebs on the computer files of the folders of the case of it, and this was in the 70's when I started filming, and so far I have managed to complete 5 minutes of the films long runtime, most of that is timelapse shots, but still, I'm gonna have to fill it up with stock footage at this rate...
So as I await this footage, let me tell you about the film.

TMO's demise at the moment has fortunately not hindered my plans, as editing of the opening sequence has begun without a voice yet, and using outside editing the green-screen effects take you to an LA never seen in this high quality with The Movies, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

It'll be in black and white, as the production budget has soared dramatically and we have had to incorporate costs into the final cut, causing colour to wash out of everything, our studios are currently getting white washed so we don't crash into them at night.

But as I ramble on as incoherently as the lead in the piece I leave you with these famous last words:
"I swear I will get this film made, even if it takes me a year"

    G o o d [Good] luck.

i'm tickled by your statement that your production is in black and white because of budget.

george romero was hailed as a genius for filming 'night of the living dead' in b/w. when asked why he used it, he said because he couldn't afford color film. accidental genius. and, he said because of it, he was able to use chocolate syrup as blood. real genius.

    so, you're in G o o d [Good] company.

Well, so far I have everyone I originally wanted cast, except the lead, who apparently doesn't check his PMs, hmm, so fingers crossed come next week I'll be starting out fully on some scenes, now testing is over Smily [:)]

Ok, well, now with no lead role cast I guess as always it falls down to a G o o d [Good] ol' fashioned casting call!

Jack Morrison, Private Eye from the mid USA, smooth voiced, assured and G o o d [Good] with words, though slightly cynical and full of himself. Late-20's to mid-30's, Male.
Please note this requires a lot of work and a willingness to be in the film, since there's a two page monologue to begin with Wink [;)]

Sample line: "Looking over The City of Angels it’s sometimes hard to believe it’s not a dream, the weather, glorious as always, the people, glamorous and shiny, the buildings, modern and beautiful, like a haven in modern society."

e-mail to me in a recognizable format, wav, ogg, mp3 etc (the last is not a format, ok!) to ethanrunt@yahoo.co.uk
    Thank you.

A crying shame I have had nothing from anybody here yet, but that's life, still...
I can say that I have got two character's lines, and they are just fantastic, so look forward to one seriously entertaining thriller/comedy in the coming months, and please keep auditioning, I'd like one person to try at least Stick out tongue [:P]
