Re: Ideas for black and white 3
Yeah, editing the land is a crucial part to being a God. Another thing I think they should add in Black and White III would be making it easier to make straight walls and roads. It is nearly impossible to make perfectly straight or circular roads and walls and that's just annoying. It’s all the minor annoyances that really subtract from the whole God feeling. I can deal with little annoyances in real life.

Re: Ideas for black and white 3
What will happen if your suggestions become included?
You will hate that game! Because LH took your ideas without any thanks. Always if you are playing it, you will think: "Hell, they took my idea, making money with this, and I ....." You will not only hate that game. You will hate LH and maybe the whole games industry. Maybe you are surprised and proud at first because they have it realized. But only for a couple of minutes. Your frustration on the other side will continue till the end of your life.
See Derobrash. He programmed some stuff for The Movies and I guess LH gave him not even a penny.
And you have to know, the devs have much fear to losing their jobs. I guess there are daily many high educated people knocking on the dor. They don't want any new young-devs.
So people, enjoy these BW-games like they are. Or buy another. And don't think too much about good and evil game-funktions. That is not our part. Thats the job of the devs. The roles are distributed. One the one side are the devs and on the other the gamers. The devs make them and we have to play them. Sure, I know, it's not a good distribution. We have always only to play that stuff. Only in the area which the devs are giving us. And we can never change that.

Re: Ideas for black and white 3
i HATE the tribute system BUT LH COULD make it work. IF B&W3 had Mp you could use tribute to buy cities from other players how much tribute? depends on how much the other player wants. even if you bought a town and made it yours, the people might not like/belive in you so thet could rebel. making another twist to the game and so forth. but you would NOT i repeat NOT use tribute to buy buildings. your people might get tired of livin in hovels so theyll start building houses and stuff.
yay ![Silly [:p]](/Emoticons/silly.gif)
@xenosentient: how bout the ability to make constellations?
EDIT: how about the ability to create mortal children and make them be born from a mortal?

Re: Ideas for black and white 3
Constellations would be cool. They should go even further, maybe, and allow you to change the color of the sky, the sun, etc. I'm a GOD and it's my dang world, and if I want a happy face constellation above my realm, with a black sky and a red sun, then dang it, I should be able to have it! ![Happy [:)]](/Emoticons/happy.gif)
Plus, LH can take my ideas and give me no credit if they want. I just want to play a good game; I make enough money as it is-- not that I'm rich mind you, I just don't care about appreciation from LH.

Re: Ideas for black and white 3
As if I were doing my ideas to get money, respect or something like that :P
All I wanna do is get a good game to play online, cause now clearly after me having my eyes on this futile thing called bnw2, I didn't get the new BnW1 online I hoped
But anyways more ideas about BnW3 :
-Customized god stuff, like different kinds of regulations for my people. "Thou shallt not eat rabbit meat, rabbits are cute you know" etc. It should be possible for me to make my people's lives what I want, and I should enforce my commandments with churches, temples, ministers, holypeople, witchdoctors whatever that makes them believe and fear/respect me
-Icons, messiahs, and all sorts of things that have appeared in the holy books of the world
-I should be able to use this water surrounding my island somehow... Ooh yes stick ppl in boats to fish, attack, defend and whatnot
-Those ideas told by some people earlier about those constellations and the little stuff

Quoting: remenytelenBlack & White 3 should take place in the modern era, in the 21th century with many religions, and you can choose which religion's god you want to be.
i hate to burst your bubble but that will only happen in bnw5 ,bnw3 should take place in the medevil ages now, the time where everyone was poor and weaponry was suffienciently advanced

A bnw wouldn't fell special if all it took to win was a nuclear strike. Pre-Medieval for me.

Re: Ideas for black and white 3
One thing that I want to see return is the way that impressiveness was handled in the first one. The first time your people see you pick up a tree and they're all "OMG!" and bam, 10 impressiveness. Next time they see you do it you get 5. The next time they're bored of it and you get 0. Every action, or rather every percieved action, should add to you influence as your every interaction with the world solidifies the people's belief in you. Buildings are only impressive once someone sees it, and then the first time somebody sees it they're blown away. As with all things they get boring in time.
Also I want to see the teleports between lands return as Lionhead sort of missed the fact that transporting people between lands via portal was the only reason that people really wanted multi-pickup in the first place as putting your people in the vortex took hours when doing it one person at a time.
I've always said this as it's my dream, but I want to see a whole planet at some point. The lands should be dotted around the landscape and you should be able to travel to anywhere that believes in you with a cool Populous: The Beginning style interface. I don't even care if technology can't handle it in real time yet. Let it be a land choosing interface and then load the land from there. I've always wanted to see how all of the island were situated on the surface of the globe.
There's a bunch more that I can't think of atm...
We can't cure the world of sorrows, but we can choose to live our lives in happiness.

If anything, they should be concertrating on Fixing all the problems and missing content from black and white 2 before they start on 3.

Re: Ideas for black and white 3
All i think they need is to:
1.More Creatures
2.More Buildings
3.More Miracles, think: Hand Forcing that could cause gaps like in the earthquake epic, just controlled, and the abilty to change sky colors... I'm a god, I'll do what I want
4.I don't know if it would come out well, but, mabey, say, shoulder mounted catapults on creatures and other weapons for them.
5.More complex battles, I love city making as it is, but the battles seem bland, more stratigie from the AI would be nice

Re: Ideas for black and white 3
I also think that Black and White 3 should be released for the Nintendo (dare i say it) Wii. The controller would work well with the game.
Also if you didn't want to fight an enemy creature your creature should be able to make friends with it and eventually it would trust you enough for you to control it like your own, imagine having a Cow, Norse Wolf, Japenese Tiger and Aztec Gorilla!
No word of a lie, no work of a lie... 17 cows i stopped them with... my one hand

Re: Ideas for black and white 3
Original poster: I Adore the black and white Series. Black and white 1 and 2 were both
incredible games in their own ways. However, it felt as though Black
and White 2, although bringing many sorely needed features, lost some
of the non-linear gameplay that BW1 had. Black and White 2 felt far too
much like a conventional Real Time Strategy game. There were no enemy
gods, the enemy villages always acted the same way over and over, the
villages would convert automatically as your city became more
impressive. I've actually had games end accidentally while i was just
innocently building my village, because I managed to surpass that
crucial impressiveness threshold.
It felt like the fact that you were a god wasnt really all that
critical. Most of what you did was done by your pet or your people.
Sure you'd cast the occaisional miracle to bring down fire and
brimstone on the heretics, but when the opponent was just a godless
village with no miraculous savior to help them, it seems more like
burning ants with a magnifying glass.
I do love the many extra features in black and white 2, however,
especially the fact that your villagers can look after themselves! It
was so frustrating catering after the food and wood desires of the
villagers in the first game. Once a village grew to be a certain size,
you just felt like tapping a lightning miracle and frying some people
just so they dont burn through their food stores so quickly! The
building variety in black and white 2 was incredible, and i loved how
the terrain changed to suit your alignment!
Thus, without further Ado, here is my suggestion for a third release in
the Black and White series!:
(Ta-Da!)
1: - The Citadel: In black and white 2, the lack of a citadel, which
had been such a powerful and imposing presence in the first game, made
me feel quite naked and exposed, to be honest. I had no anchor, as a
god, no base of power, no physical representation of my godliness. I
liked to imagine that when people looked across the land and saw my
citadel towering high into the sky, they were reminded of my presence
and power, and were impressed. Also, while I had a tower, I still
existed. So long as i had that tower, i had a creature to do my
bidding, and could still impress people. I feel that re-introducing the
citadel would help players become a little more personally attatched to
elements of the game. A player would not automatically start with a
citadel, but would gain the ability to build one as belief in him or
her became stronger, typically when one of the villages he controls
becomes a Town.
2: - Impressiveness: In both black and white 1 and 2, you impress
villages. I feel, however, that it would be more realistic to impress
villagers individually. Once the number of villagers who convert to
worshipping you becomes higher than a certain percent, then the village
will become yours, though those villagers who had not converted would
still retain their old faith, or remain agnostic, until sufficiently
impressed. The people would naturally have some resistance to
conversion, while those who were already faithful to another god would
be even more difficult to convert. Even in the event that this
particular feature is too difficult to reliably work, there are some
methods of impressiveness that could be added which did not exist in
previous games. True missionaries, for example; people of your faith
(signified by a little icon above their heads) who travel to other
lands and spread belief in those villages, towns, and cities at a slow
but reliable rate. Missionaries would be trained at your temple (while
worshippers would be trained exclusively at the altar). Priests, who
would simply be workers who train at the temple automatically, would
travel within their own village ministering to the people, and building
belief in your own territory, making them harder to convert.
3: - Multidimensionalism: In black and white, and all its expansions
and sequels, you are allowed only two paths. .gif" alt=" ">, or .gif" alt=" ">.
The extremity of these paths is entirely up to you, from extreme to
neutral, but the paths themselves remain fixed. In this expansion,
thanks to the release of black and white 2 and the introduction of
armies, your behaviour would influence other aspects of your godliness
as well. Gods who build many war structures (barracks, archery ranges,
etc) and wage war often, or train large armies, would become more
warlike, which would be expressed in the appearance of the villagers,
territory, and representations of your godhood (statues at temples,
your citadel appearance, your hand, etc). Whether this made you become
or would depend on whether you were offensive or defensive in
your use of military might. Sending out your armies to attack and
capture peaceful settlements, for example, would be , while
building a large army, but standing them at your walls for defense
would not affect your / inclination. Having small armies, or no
armies at all, on the other hand, would make your disposition more
pacifist, also reflected in your architecture, territory, etc. An ,
militaristic god's territory would look quite imposing compared to a
peacful, benevolent god.
4: - Races: In black and white 2, there werent nearly enough races and
faiths. There were the greeks, the norse, the japanese, and the aztecs
(a peculiar lot of races if I ever saw one). To make matters worse, you
were stuck with the Greeks, unable to customize your own people at all.
I would much sooner have been the norse, for example, or the celts
(especially the celts, i love those little buggers! I am one, dontchya
know?). Reintroduce the Egyptians, the Indians, the Celts, and add a
few more races for distinctiveness, like the Africans (perhaps more
specific, like the Numidians, or some other ancient african empire),
the Arabs, let imagination guide you. And give these races back their
racially distinct wonders, each with their own bonus effects, like in
the original black and white. Unlike the original, though, make the
size and resource cost fixed, but make the effect increase for the
power of the believers associated with that particular wonder.
5: - Miracles: Although the plethora of miracles available in the
original black and white did get a bit overwhelming sometimes, a bit of
variety is always a thing. For the most part, Black and White 2
had all the necessary miracles, but the lack of Food and Wood miracles
was sometimes inconvenient. Although there shouldnt be a dependancy on
these miracles, they should still at least be available in some form.
An ABUNDANCE miracle, for example, which could be cast over the village
warehouse to increase the holdings, and some powerful, rather expensive
miracles for the production of these resources (Iron Miracle, Forest
Miracle, Abundant Nature Miracle). In addition, there should be a few
more major miracles. However, the construction of wonders for each
miracle seems a cumbersome mechanic which could perhaps be entirely
avoided. An alternative to seperate wonders, since the Citadel is
reintroduced in this game, would be to add the construction of wonders
Onto the citadel, with expansion slots for up to five wonders around
its base, each wonder representing not one miracle, but one element of
miracle, one for water, fire, earth, life, and death. The siren would
clearly be attatched to water, as would the Hurricane, while Fire would
grant such super-miracles as Volcano, and Firestorm (a hellish storm
effect which rains fireballs), and much the same for Earth with
Earthquake and so on.
6: - Lands: The lands in black and white were massive, and generally
would take ages to explore fully. In Black and White 2 they seemed a
bit shrunken by comparison. With the ever improving nature of
computers, and the increasingly unimpressed player base who care less
about looks and more about gameplay, a prudent approach would be to
leave the graphics much as they are (as in black and white 2 they are
already quite ) and focus on making the lands bigger. This is
especially important when it is considered that thanks to the city
building aspect added in Black and White 2, cities need a lot more room
to grow than they used to. In addition, bigger lands means more
villages, and more room for special side-quests and other interesting
features.
7: - Villages: Unlike the villages in the original Black and White,
those in Black and White 2 do not seem realistic or complete. They are
not self sufficient, most dont contain even the most basic civic
buildings, and they appear to simply be 'storehouses' for neutral
people just waiting to be impressed. In Black and White 3, these
independant villages should have their own AI, growing, expanding, and
managing their own needs as they grow older, and becoming more and more
difficult to impress. Moreover, when an independant village grows to a
certain size, the people should start to desire a god, becoming more
impressionable, but also gaining the ability to generate their own god,
if left alone for too long. These newly generated gods would eventually
gain their own citadels in much the same way as the other gods, and
their behavioral patterns would be randomly generated upon creation,
using much the same sort of AI as which governs the Creature. Gods
would not start with a city, or in fact anything at all. They would
begin the land with a few worshippers, and build from scratch.
Pregenerated villages in the land would start in basic form, with only
a few buildings, randomly placed rather than cookie-cutter placeables.
When a god succeeded in impressing a village to the point of
conversion, that village would come under his control, rather than the
Black and White 2 system where the villagers simply leave the village
and come to the god's city.
8: - Gods: Governed by an AI similar to that which controls Creatures,
the gods would all have their own temperments, peculiar habits, and
behaviors. The lack of gods in Black and White 2 was a major loss in
the gameplay, as being the only god in the land does make things a bit
dull. Additionally, the behavior of the godless villages is far too
scripted and rehearsed, making it terribly predictable and boring. In
Black and White 1, it was difficult to tell what the opposing god would
be doing next, which always made things interesting. Recall heavily
upon the AI behaviors of the gods in the original black and white game,
and toss in some randomization for greater interest.
9: - Menu Bars and Interfaces: One of the very great things about Black
and White 1 was that there were no interfaces, no menu bars. Sure, they
make things more convenient, but they also detract from the 'feel' of
the game. Black and White 3 should put a minimal emphasis in menus and
interfaces, relying as heavily as possible on the Number One Tool of
the Omnipotent Handyman, his own hand. Although the scaffolding feature
in the original black and white was a bit cumbersome, a similar feature
would be prefferable to the action bar. A building center which, when
clicked on, offers a menu of scaffold types to build, which can also be
used by the villagers to expand the village as they see fit, if the
Auto-build option was enabled. For maximum immersion, there should be
as few interfaces as possible, and any menus should be attatched to
buildings, rather than to the 'hub', because Gods dont have Hubs.
10: - Auto-manage/Micro-manage: If auto-build was enabled, Architect
Disciples would set about placing the scaffolds for the various
buildings that the town desired, laying roads, and placing special
buildings to emphasis a god's particular alignment. The Auto-Build
function would be the same type used in the neutral villages,
intelligently placing buildings and roads according to certain
standardized parameters to achieve the maximum optimal effect, and meet
the growing village's needs, following construction guidelines which
would specify such things as how much of a gap to leave between
buildings and roads, how to zone civic, industrial, and residential
areas to achieve a balance between happiness and efficiency (possibly
set by the player via a Happiness - Efficiency ratio bar).
11: - Setting: Black and White 3 should more or less ignore Black and
White 2, at the very least not attempt to follow directly in the
footsteps of the BW2 campaign. Black and White 3 should be a total plot
diversion, still focussed on the same basic goals, conquer the lands
and convert the peoples, but with a new, less linear story. In fact, to
enable even greater playability, Black and White 3 should have an open
ended campaign, with the ability to go back and forth from one land to
the next, and with a storyline which is affected by the god's alignment
and choices, rather than automatically advancing to the next fully
scripted chapter once all the objectives have been met. Rather than a
returning god, Black and White 3 should start fresh, like the first
one, allowing even new players to truly get into the story without
having to have played the previous game first in order to relate. The
story should not be set too far ahead in time from Black and White 2,
but may perhaps include ruins and relics from the great gods of the
previous games. In fact, the final 'boss' god at the end of Black and
White 3 could very well be the Greek god from Black and White 2 (With
the option to upload the player's profile from black and white 2, and
use those parameters for the 'boss' god's AI profile).
12: - Special Effects: One of the guilty pleasures of players of Black
and White has always been to manipulate their own alignment to achieve
a certain visual effect in the world. Rather than this, black and white
3 should feature some Special Effects options, purchaseable through
Tribute or Mana. These effects may or may not influence the disposition
or mood of your citizens, but would primarly simply provide visual
enhancement for the player's benefit. These Special Effects would not
be placeables, but rather would affect buildings, people, or territory
within the god's influence. Such effects as Columns of Lightning, Rain,
Fog, Darkness, Blackened and Desolate earth, Bright green grass,
Pleasant sunshine, Shafts of light, Flowery meadows (distinct from the
placeable meadows), flocks of birds and animals, both , neutral,
and , Citizen clothing effects, etc. allowing a player to fully
customize their godly appearance without all that awkward mucking
around with alignment. Many of these effects would affect both the
alignment of the god, and the behavior and disposition of his
followers, however. These effects would also improve a god's
impressiveness. However, these effects would be quite expensive.
13: - Customization: Since Black and White is meant to be a truly Open
Ended game, a player should be given the ability to fully customize his
preferred starting race, certain architectural features associated with
that race, starting alignment, etc. As the game continues, the player
should, through the Special Effects features and through additional
customization features, be able to mould his people and his territory
into whatever he wishes, setting down commandments, dictating virtues,
and doing all those other fun things gods do. You are a god, after all,
you can tell your people what's and what's bad, what's right and
wrong. You can mould your people into a spartan warrior state hell-bent
on pillage and plunder, setting your villages to automatically produce
armies to raid and ravage the surrounding landscape, or you can turn
them into a peace loving theocracy, sending missionaries and scholars
to educate and spread belief.
14: - Villagers: One positive thing which Black and White 2 added to
the franchise was the introduction of competent, self reliant
villagers, people who could actually take care of themselves, and didnt
constantly require a godly babysitter. This should be taken a step or
two further in Black and White 3, giving gods the ability to tell their
villagers to do things on their own. "GOD HELPS THOSE WHO HELP
THEMSELVES!" and all that. By laying down commandments and virtues,
placing special emphasis on certain features of daily life (accessible
through the Temple, and spread gradually throughout your followers by
the priests who work there), a god should be able to give the villagers
a blueprint for their behavior, so that they will automatically seek
out things to do that conform to that set of moral ideals, from raising
armies and waging war, to raising universities and writing poetry.
15: - Creature: Though the customization interface for creatures in
black and white 2 made training your creature far more convenient, many
of its features actually detracted from the mechanic of having a
creature, making him or her less like a pet, and more like a factory
produced unit. The creature in black and white 1 had a depth of
personality that was simply unmatched by its BW2 counterpart, who was
rather bland by comparison. Keeping some parts of the interface, such
as the ability to recall 'RECENT' actions and either reward or punish
the creature for them, but losing others, such as simply buying
training for a creature to learn miracles, and setting default stances,
which detract from the creature's natural personality (note, only
Recent actions could be recalled, as if you wait too long, the creature
will forget what it did). Learning miracles would be a practice mostly
undertaken by the creature itself, as the creature observes, and then
attempts such miracles, rather than having to be shown the same miracle
repeatedly until eventually it reaches 100%. Naturally, the creature
would occaisionally get into trouble like this, casting a newly learned
fireball miracle into your village center or healing a group of trees,
but this learning process is part of what made the creature in black
and white 1 so endearing. With this independant decision making
capability, and positive/negative reinforcement method, creatures in
the original black and white game were always unique, even when the
same player replayed the game with the same type of creature; the
creatures were NEVER completely duplicated, and always individual.
Thus, by recycling this AI, with a few minor refinements, a few
additional decision options and impulses, and perhaps a bit more
emphasis on emotional disposition (happiness, sadness, boredom, etc), a
truly dynamic creature could be created which would even surpass the
intricasy and sophistication of the original. For questions or comments
please reply to the email address from which this document was sent.
Additional material may be added at a later date.
Why make Black and White 3?:
Black and White was a wild success, and a truly revolutionary game,
whos most shining feature was the Creature, whos AI was so powerful
that Guiness Book of World Records acknowledged it in 2001 as the most
advanced Artificial Intelligence in the world at that time.
The failure of Black and White 2 was not due to an inherint lack of
appeal in the game itself, but the implementation, which was not as
clever or as open-ended as the original. Many features which made the
original Black and White such a success were removed in Black and White
2, and many others were changed beyond recognition. Though many
features were added, the cumulative detriment to playability eventually
became the death of the game.
However, even in spite of the loss of black and white 2, the Black and
White franchise is still alive and well, with a vast fanbase just
WAITING for a new installment of this highly addictive and enjoyable
game. By drawing upon the lessons learned from both Black and White,
and Black and White 2, Lionhead can easily create a powerful,
versatile, captivating game to revitalize the franchise. Simply by
combining the addictive and enjoyable features from both games, and
removing those detriments which haunted both games, Black and White 3
can be made to operate smoothly, play enjoyably, and enthrall a whole
generation of gamers in exactly the same way the original did.
So long as Lionhead doesnt wait too long, lest the thrill of Black and
White grow cold, a big hit game could very easily be made of this.
However, if made, Black and White 3 would require a deal more attention
than Black and White 2 recieved in terms of gameplay. Black and white 2
looks brilliant, so obviously the graphics rendering is top notch, but
gameplay suffered, and in the end, Gameplay is what decides whether or
not a game survives.
If desirable, I would like to include a post script to the effect that
if this input is appreciated, I would vastly enjoy the ability to
contribute to the ventures of this company on a more professional level
with greater regularity, though not neccessarily in any sort of paid
position. I just enjoy playing and creating games! As yet I have no
experience with graphic design, only basic experience with programming,
and no work history in this field, but for Intellectual Design,
Concieptual Design, and Writing (as seen above), I am moderately
qualified. All I really want is just the ability to have some input on
game design where my Imagination can be put to some use.
I have a wide variety of other game design conciepts in the works as
well, available on interest.
Legal Note (for the sake of those who are intimidated by the threat of
lawsuits): By submitting this information I waive any exclusive
concieptual rights to it and am aware that it may or may not be used in

Azerentoth: This was written by another B&W3 hopeful like myself on this forum and he had great ideas. id like to add to some of his ideas though about land size and creature size/age: the land size i really have nothing to change about what he originally said except when it comes to the creature. the creature's size/age should be as B&W1 with the growth speed of B&W2 also if they keep the gatehouse of B&W2 but use my suggestion for its size/age and that of the original post they should at least put an animation where the creature (after a certain age/size) can simply just either jump/scale/walk over carefully <---- or simply break straight through the wall <---- making the alignment of the creature really intriuging as some of his actions and animations change with his a appearence change with the alignment.

Re: Ideas for black and white 3
I think it goes without saying; we'd all like some sort of return to the original B&W, which I personally prefer to the sequel. Certainly I did feel more like a glorified mayor or general in B&W2 rather than a God and the creature seemed less like my personal avatar or pet and more like a tool I just use to smash the odd invading horde. So I suppose bringing back the Temple, the influence system and the original training system for the Creature would be a start. I'd also like to see more tribes; the Indians from the first game were my favourite tribe and they didn't get so much as a mention. Plus I would rather have played as the Norse or Japanese rather than the Greeks out of the tribes we saw in B&W2, maybe the ability to choose your tribe at the start of the game? At least in Black and White it varied from time to time.
However the biggest problem I had with B&W2 was it's rather poor warfare. There was no point in it at all, there's absolutely no depth to the battles. You literally just raise the biggest army you can and hope you can swamp the enemy before his armies respawn. The thing is, warfare was the one of the biggest new features in Black and White 2, and it was rather dissapointing. It doesn't need to be major, anything as simple as a rather dumbed down version of the Total War or Rise of Nation battle systems would be nice. Things like a scissors, rock, paper routine (archers beat swordmen, cavalry beat archers, swordmen beat cavalry), extra damage from high ground, perhaps a morale system and maybe more realistic battles and physics. Your soldiers shouldn't run like a herd of horses on steroids and they shouldn't clamber effortlessly over steep cliffs and thick forest. Ooh! And formations; your archers and guarding swordman platoon could form a line towards the enemy whilst a larger force forms a wedge and charges the opposing army's line. Ensuring that the enemy is bound to the same rules as I am would be decent too. It bugged me to now end when the opposing tribes could just snap their fingers and have a veteran swordman platoon at their command. The Creature could fulfill a major support role, either providing an extra bulk to the attacking force, or hanging back and supporting the main conflict with the odd miracle.
Other things could be greater emphasis on being a god, less worry about the ore resource (because when it runs out, it's pretty much game over), a wider influence ring and maybe a greater expansion of miracles. Hopefully these things can not only improve the game, but are also somewhat possible with the resources Lionhead has at their disposal. There were bits of course with the sequel that should remain implemented, like the overall graphics, the Creature combat (which was much more vicious and real looking), the variety of the building's and the way your followers reacted to them, the Epic miracles and the God-sent multi pick up.
Okay, I'll stop yakking now. ![Stick out tongue [:P]](/emoticons/emotion-4.gif)

Re: Ideas for black and white 3
xenosentient:Yeah, editing the land is a crucial part to being a God. Another thing I think they should add in Black and White III would be making it easier to make straight walls and roads. It is nearly impossible to make perfectly straight or circular roads and walls and that's just annoying.
You can make straight walls and roads by holding down the "/" key while you lay the wall or road. It will keep it straight. Also, I agree with those who posted before me saying that the game should be kept in the ancient era, 21st century doesn't sound too appealing. Also, like those who posted before, there should be more tribes, more creatures, and more miracles. I think there should be all the tribes of BW 1 plus an African tribe, a Pacific Islander tribe, and perhaps an East Indian Tribe. If they could take the benefits of BW1 and the benefits of BW2 and combine them with the addition of two tribes and a few more miracles and buildings then that's a great third edition. Also, don't forget mulitplayer.

Re: Ideas for black and white 3
MJLOVER:I would really like it if we could have BW3 in the middle ages. You could then train more different troops, Knights, Mages etc.. And I never liked the new creature as much as my old one in BW1, the BW1 creature was more there, he had feelings (which he actually tried to show) he played with YOU, which means you threw a rock, he grabbed it and threw back. And using them to impress another village was also pretty damn cool. And some God on God action! I got a little God on God in BW2 BOTG, where our influence rings also overlapped!

Re: Ideas for black and white 3
Here's my wishlist, for what it's worth: * Bring back rival gods; you would either try to conquer their towns or out-build them with impressive structures.
* Bring back skirmish mode and multiplayer.
* Bring back Creature tattoos.
* Allow players a choice in which tribe they control, as opposed to forcing them to play the Greeks.
* Maybe a few more playable tribes in addition to the Greeks, Norse, Japanese, and Aztecs? I would choose an African nation such as the Egyptians, Nubians, or Malinese.
* In addition, there could be several non-playable "minor tribes" like in Age of Empires 3 that you can win over; some suggestions:
- Native Americans
- Polynesians (I've honestly never seen them in a strategy game before)
- Zulu
- Arabian nomads
- Inuit (aka "Eskimos")
* Add cavalry to your armies; maybe the African civ could also get war elephants!
* Creatures I'd like to see:
- Tiger
- Wolf
- Gorilla
- Elephant
- Tyrannosaurus Rex
- Cow
* Each Creature species should be programmed to prefer a different type of food based upon the natural diet of their animal cousins. For example, the Gorilla, Cow, and Elephant, being herbivores, should prefer plant foods such as grain or trees, while the T. Rex, Tiger, and Wolf should choose animals or villagers since they're meat-eaters. Otherwise, it's a little strange to have a Cow wolfing down people, isn't it?
Something has survived...and it wants to eat your little bleep!

Re: Ideas for black and white 3
OK in my opionion the only ![G o o d [Good]](/emoticons/g_o_o_d.gif) things from part 2 were armies n epics, they need to bring back all lesser miracles all epics armies!!!! ALL TRIBES!!!!! Celtics Egyptians africans u know wut im sayin, they need to bring back the oldgraphics for the creatures cuz it works on more computers n more people will buy game they need to bring back ALL CREATURES!!!!!!! n they need to bring back temples n basically jut forget all the buildings from part 2 n put the old ones back with added military structures, Also they need skirmish mode n it shoud be customizable like command and conquer or age of mythology, we also need land editor dammit, n the idea for a creature creator is ![G o o d [Good]](/emoticons/g_o_o_d.gif) but keep graphics simple black n white 1 was prfect just make nature look more real the cretures will look fine Look its not a lot of work lionhead u got all the tools use the old tools n make a great game people stop trying to do the impossible in such a short amount of time please please please listen to the fans guys.

Re: Ideas for black and white 3
I love just to have Multi Player,
Everything else is perfect and if more is added it will persuade me to get the game even more. Lack of multi player these days is suicide for most games. As story can sometimes be misleading and boring.

Re: Ideas for black and white 3
Personally I'd like it if they completely moved away from the human aspect, completely new races, on other planets. Opened the doors to surprisingstructures, cultures, instincts etc....
Ya know, really let the player mess around with his/her whorshipers without the restrictions of humanism.

Re: Ideas for black and white 3
ok so theres alota ![G o o d [Good]](/emoticons/g_o_o_d.gif) ideas in this post and 3/4 of them i personally agree with, unfortunately beign able to get all these ideas into one single game is almost impossible unless LHS are planning on spending a LONG time on B&W 3. A creature creator would be one of the best possible add-ons for B&W 2 but would definately be great in B&W 3. Also bring back the citadel, absolutely loved it ![Smily [:)]](/emoticons/emotion-1.gif) to be honest, I feel that LHS should add a decent amount of ideas from the fans in to the game, but should just do what they do we all loved the first two B&W's so why change let them design the game how they want to... they're the proffesionals

Re: Ideas for black and white 3
mmm.. Black and white 2 had alot of potential
i honesty liked making a HUGE empire
like stay on one island for like 3 days and get up to like 1 million soldiers and just obliterate my enemys but the game lacked alot
mostly story content it was to easy and fast and other minor problems my wish list is
(and LH would be dumb not to mack Black and White 3 because its A REALLY franchise but anywho)
Choosable races:
African Zulu
Eygiptions
Native Americans
Eskimo (i think it would be cool)
Even like hawian
each with special miracle and benifits
MORE MIRACLES:
putting a pack of wolfs on ur enemys town
Tornadoes
Turning people into crazed possessed fiens that kill everything
MORE ANIMALS TO CHOOSE AS PET
Each animal with special miracle
smarter animal
more military units
BOATS its so obvious todo u could go to far away islands and attack
I really like cities and building so i would like allies (smart) that would help you fight or can do trade agreements, help finacialy (with food or soldier) and trade between cities
IN DEPTH STORY
ONLINE
with online they should, make many diffrent animals to choose as pets to represent you, but able to custimize your civilization with pet tattos and scars or name of race, just customization and going online raping some other guy and say "so and so" did it
More devastaing animal attacks on eveverything
the EPIC MIRACLES, i liked those alot i mean it had its build up time but i liked the carnage it made maybe like 3 more
and just new cooler buildings with more purposes and each civilization would be diffrent...
i think my list is pree smexy
