I know it's possible to create new miracles, and may soon be possible to make buildings, so I was thinking, perhaps a "miracle mixer", where you drop miracles in combination, to make new ones - for example fire and shield allowing you to summon a ring of flame, to burn anyone trying to get through. (protect buildings/trap troops etc)
Or how about a super-epic, that takes ages to cast, drains mana, disables certain godly abilities, but extends your influence to most of where your opponent's isn't, for a short period?
Finally, I suggest a small influence ring be placed around army troops.
Internet problems fixed...

Would you like to know why I am waiting till 2008 to start.
It's because ToTC is a test in using Kronos a made and scripted god that will have its own AI. And if it works properly, then I can build gods in this pack, and bring a more broad and developed god and God AI to this pack.
As for epics, there is going to be the Mass Destruction Epic in Black & White 2: Of Gods and Mortals. This epic is what you will see at the very end of ToTC, the main objective.
But when the tools become apparent and stable, all this will happen. ToTC was a first try expansion pack, but this one is a more sophisticated, structured and well developed game which will not present any sloppy scripting or whatever makes a game buggy or unstable.
And I know this will not sound nice, but unlike ToTC, OGAM will not have releases until it is finished, so I have more time making it the best, rather than worrying about release dates.
Sorry but that's the way it is.

I played Threat of the Creed ...
So, I start playing. I ignoring the gross speling mistakes. What I can't ignore are the fireballs that randomly shoot out of my hand and blow up forests and my own buildings rather often. But, I keep playing ... and when I use the earthquake wonder, it doesn't work at first, it just leaves a big glowing marker in the enemy village. I use it again, and this time it works ... but the screen keeps rumbling after the earthquake and the whole world remains tinted green, like it's the Matrix. I still play on.
Then I get the 'creed' power through a silver scroll ... a lightning bolt that pretty much incinerates whole cities ... and it refuses to stop working, I can't stop the lightning bolt from ... bolting. Anytime I click, a bolt of lightning destroys half the island. I go to pick a creature, I literally blow away the creatures.
And then I click another silver scroll and the game crashes.
So, Threat of the Creeds is pretty much unplayable.
Also, the creature I picked just stood in one spot and starved to death.
There were some neat things, like, when you shoot down out of the sky for the first time, you're actually a meteor looking thing and it's pretty cool. There's that little island off to the side of the main island and it's like a radio, and you can choose songs and stuff.
So, if TotC is your idea of a job well done, then I don't have very high hopes for this one.

So, if TotC is your idea of a job well done, then I don't have very high hopes for this one.
totc was not really 1.0 its still in development. and that you found bugs and report them is good, so daxter can improve the game and kill all bugs. we just need more players who report bugs and stuff to daxter. so if you keep on playing and keep on reporting bugs, he will kill all of them, i belive

Kronos is in fact pure evil with not a good bone within him. But the part which I said I'll make him as close as possible to the Undead God, I meant 'it' when the time comes to fo this pack.
It is rather unfortunate that this can't be done at the moment. However, there is a CHL decompiler being built that may prove useful for getting this done. But because it scripting is a bit different to original BnW2 scripting, then I'm not sure if the decompiler will pick up everything in the land x files for BoTG.
But I do know what if it's going to be the best that I can make it, it will probably take me at least a 6months to a year to have the greatest God AI of all time. This means that the fans probably won't get the pack till 2009 or late 2008.
I'll see how it goes with Kronos first.

ah cool, i guess it would be nice to play against a nuetral or good got but meh.
aslong as their is not just 1 god and hes not an undead god (well, i don't care if the god himself is undead i just don't like the undead soilders and creature)

Hey Daxter, I'm looking forward to this project, some of the ideas are great, the combining miracle bowl sounds great. Also the A.I good luck on that because the best A.I I can get is an enemy's army patrolling up and down a valley.
Some things I'd like to see:
New Buildings,
Some New Graphics,
A Game Switcher - A simple program outside the game which renames files like map.txt, models and graphics. Depending on which game you wanted to play.

Howdy folks, I'm actually Lead Designer on another game but after reinstalling B&W2 looking for ideas I've become addicted once more. Just been looking through the mod forums here and have to say you've done some great work Dax, I'm looking forward to seeing some of yur final releases. ![Happy [:)]](/Emoticons/happy.gif)
So some things I think would be interesting to see:
God Powers
-Plagues
-Summoning of undead platoons
-Angel/demon call. Become a living entity and stalk the world as a character retaining most of your godly powers. Not so much for any reason other than enjoyment. Material body only has so much health before you once again become a divine entity.
Military
*Mounted
-Horse Archers
-Basic Knights
-Beast mounted special units(elephants for knocking through gates for example)
-Vehicle mounted such as carts and chariots(carts could also have a function for civilians allowing them to collect a lot of resources far from home before the cart would have to bring it back to a storehouse,could be handled just like a portable storehouse thus shouldn't require too much more scripting)
-Players must gather/raise mounts which also consume food. Handlers take food from storehouse like everyone else to fill stable building.
*Siege
-Ballistae(would be used against massed infantry platoons and also as a kind of creature slaying weapon. Highly inaccurate but high level of damage)
-Wall mounted defensive weapons. Only available at next level of wall which has platforms at the turrets.
*Infantry
-Spearmen(inflict a lot of damage to cavalry but less against other infantry).
-Nation specific hero units such as Norse berserkers or Japanese Samuri.
*War resources
-Add oil which certain units can use to start fires be they shock troops torching a town(an effect similar to dropping a small fireball on a building) or a defensive structure basically pouring a fireball on attacking forces.
*Navy
-Nation specific naval units,Norse longboats,Japanese Junks and Greek Triremes, each with their own specific attributes.
-Treat transport ships like an enclosed ring wall as instead of filling ships this allows the platoons to stand on deck and defend the ship especially if they are a ranged unit. Also by having this you can have naval ships board each other and make some very interesting encounters on the water.
-Equip the war ships with balanced arsenals for examples giving the triremes the catapult weaponry(by basically imbedding a catapult model in the ship),the Norse could have fast ships while the junk could have strong points which fire arrows. This also means depending on the nation you play as you would adopt very different tactics based on the nations abilites.
-Add fishing ships as another method to collect food. Not essential but a nice graphical concept.
-Add platoon swimming by simply swapping over the platoon models at height 0 to swimming models and allow the map designers to decide to have water clipping on/off. This means for maps where the water is supposed to be poisonous for example map designers could stop players from swimming in it. Also make swimming very very slow so that ships are the only feasible method of transport.
Flora
*New terrain types with associated wildlife.
-Jungles
-Deserts
-Swamps etc
Fauna
*Aggressive animals like the wolves of B&W1. Even if this means reduced the placid animals to increase this type it would be worth it. Some maps could have very dangerous land simply because of the wildlife on it. However whats dangerous for you would also be dangerous for your enemy.
Creature
*Role of rage added. Simply like how you are planning on adding aggressive platoons this role changes the way you creature can behave. Unlike fighter, the creature will simply constantly attack your enemy inflicting as much destruction as possible. It basically would involve attack closest enemy and destroy everything, if killed when it respawns it regains its lost health/food etc and repeats.
Okay just a few ideas, some of which I know aren't great but hope you find some helpful.

Well 2008 cant come soon enough to check out this mod. ![Happy [:)]](/Emoticons/happy.gif) Theres a lot of things that could have been released with B&W2 but for some reason weren't. I was trying to avoid the typical suggestions of multiplayer and more creatures. ![Wink [;)]](/Emoticons/wink.gif)
ot: The games called The Viking Age and we've just switched sites to the studio site on rc-studio.net so theres not much to see and although the community forums are open we haven't thrown anything up for the community yet. Yeah I've checked out the site, signed up and such but I wouldn't know what I am doing. But you may if you really think it'll help(Btw all your help will earn you some +rep and a place among the credits of ToTC and the others).
EDIT: I soon will be holding a drawing competition. For anyone who wishes to enter, simply map out a landscape with some detail, where towns are located, objects, trees etc. and the Best 3 will be used as the next 3 landscapes for OGAM and runners up will receive +rep for simply trying. So get out there and start.
