you know, its kind of ironic how my little brother JUST FINISHED a great movie (with my help of course) that doesnt offend anybody on the site...and yet, he gets banned RIGHT AFTER making it.  It really is a great film though, I wouldn't lie, its much better than his crappy bmaitland movie ever was, not to mention his ultra short films.  The only reason Im talking about this now is because im excited for it to get on the site considering that I did VO's for multiple characters in it.  Oh well, guess we'll have to wait a week until he gets un-banned.  But indeed a new era has come to light, where I help my brother make great, unoffensive films.

 

anywho, you should all check out my latest films in the meantime.

Sbhedges, I would disagree with most of the comment. I would wish him the best of luck too, but I would not call him a 'victim'.

Derek wasn't the victim, but he was a victim (in some sense of the word), if that makes any sense.
Let me explain. He broke the rules, yes, and then went on to go even further and get banned, but it needn't have got that far. If people didn't go round provoking him and refusing to let go of the past, he could have become a reasonably member.
Obviously that's not to excuse what he did, he was clearly in the wrong and deserved to be banned, but if other people hadn't been breaking the rules as well none of this would have necessarily happened.
I'm not talking about people rating his movies badly, by the way (or any other perfectly fine thing anyone did he responded badly to) .
Whilst Derek was in the wrong and everyone else's behaviour doesn't excuse his, his behaviour doesn't excuse other people's either, however minor it was in comparison.

But it's all over now. There's no use in talking about this, or reminding anyone, just let him be added to the ever-growing list of banned trolls.

Believe me when I say I completely see where you're coming from, but provoked or not that didn't warrant the manner of his responses.  If he was experiencing problems with members then instead of telling them to "lick [his] ball sack", bashing them in his signature, cursing at members, (and other sundry things) he should have reported it to a moderator or sent a moderator a PM.  This is what he was told when he was banned for a second time so as to avoid such a situation in the future.  I understand that to a point he was provoked but at the same time the responses he got in that thread were actually quite docile all things considered and hardly warranted his behaviour, nor was it completely unpredicted given the nature of his movie.  If this ban is something the community would like me to reconsider anyone is free to send me a PM or email and we can find a solution that meets both side's needs.
