    CBN Files

So, we know it can be edited, as made apparent by the guy who made the Cheetah Replacer. I'm making an ogre creature, but he's too hairy. I need to reduce the hair, on a larger scale than he did. Anyone know how to edit this file?

I don't know how to edit the file, but I know how to edit the memory. I have hair length change capability on the main page of the trainer, and if you use the CreatureMorph section, you might be able to find something there... If you did, then I can find those bytes in the CBN, and modify them Wink [;)] *Edit* So I guess I do know 'how' to edit the file, but not ... how... to edit it Wink [;)]

The cheetah replacer is just a switch of the tiger and lion files and renaming them. The file i dont believe was actually edited.

That's correct. If you really wanted to edit the cbn files, you could always open them up with a hex editor. But if you know next to nothing about programming, you won't really be able to do anything with the file, except probably mess it up.

    Re: CBN Files

I really wouldn't advise messing about with a cbn file - try it if you want, but backup the original.

    Re: CBN Files

I gave up on the Cbn files after crashing my game a few times. I'm trying to edit the t_strand files now. I'm trying to change it from this... To this... but the image it just a plain grey field, and all the swatches are in the alpha. I keep messing it up. Sad [:(] If you can work with alphas, you might be able to pull it off.

If you just want a hairless creature, get rid of the cha file.

Thanks for the tip... Happy [:)] I want a short-haired wolf for a ferret skin though.

    Re: CBN Files

I got the turtle off of BoTG and made it available on the main game. It involved changing the .cha file. If you just delete it, it leaves a big black cloud thing around your creature. What you need to do is open it up with nopepad, delete the computer code within and save it. This will leave an empty file, and will remove the black cloud, leaving you with a hairless creature.
