    Re: mirrors edge

It'll be a unique short game which I can't see succeding because everyone will have spent their money on Fallout 3, Fable 2, Left 4 Dead, Gears of War 2, CoD, etc. Also it's published by Electronic Arts, who will no doubt shove SecuROM down our throats in the PC version.
For some reason Birdo clearly has the voice of a Japanese man in this trailer. It's like... eating a cake. You expect the cake to be delicious, but when you bite into it, it sounds like a Japanese man. See what I'm trying to say here?

I actually love mirrors edge, it's a bit short though Tongue Tied [:S] ...

It's novel, it's fun to play and it's so damn simple a retarded lemming on smack could manage to play it well!

The real trick is to try and maintain your speed ... and the time trials is really where the replayability comes in!

i enjoyed it but I agree with the others, it will not be a best seller since so many Big Tittles have been shipped. I in fact just picked up CoD:WaW last weekend and thoroughly enjoy both the campaign and multiplayer, I am also hopping to get Fallout 3 or Guild Wars Trilogy for Christmas. And if I am lucky then I may get both.

    Re: mirrors edge

I loved the demo and will probably buy the full game. I am the only person I know who actually enjoyed it though. It is REALLY easy but my friends reckon it is too hard! LMAO! I agree with what has been said. It is a fantastic innovative game but not enough depth of content or PR besides the so-called big games for it to be a real success. The EA side of things slightly ruins the effect as well, although it is truly a beautiful game. I love the colours used - so different from the browns and greys used in the CODs, Gears of War, Fallout 3, Killzone, etc.

Overall, won't be as revolutionary as it could and should have been.

    Re: mirrors edge

Yeah I have read a few reviews which seem to think the controls are fiddly and awkward but from what I've played this certainly isn't the case. In fact, I found them surprisingly simple to master so maybe it just takes a certain type of gamer to get the most out of this game. I also feel it works better at speed as was already mentioned because without the momentum it does tend to get overly slow at times.

    Re: mirrors edge

My only comparable experience to this demo was running like hell away from agents in Enter the Matrix, which was by far the best part of the game. Mirror's Edge taking place in a totalitarian society like V for Vendetta or perhaps Equilibrium, only sweetens the deal.

Like I said though, can't afford it. Surprise [:O]

I've heard that this game has no on-line features what-so-ever. Is this true?

    Re: mirrors edge

There are online leaderboards, I think, but that's about it. Why this should matter for a game, I'm not entirely sure. In fact, thread time.
