    Fairfax Castle in Oblivion?!

Alright now this only works for the Xbox 360 version of Oblivion. You must have the Wizards Tower downloaded, and follow these steps:

1.) Go to the Wizards Tower and use the Teleport Pad that takes you to the Living Quarters.

2.) Go to the Garden, then stand on top of the part of the garden that is covered in lava.

3.) Save your game and Quit.

4.) Go to your Memory and Delete Wizards Tower.

5.) Continue your Game, you will get a message saying, You have content for a patch not included, you may lose inventory...continue anyways.

6.) You should load inside a Bruma house, except it isn't Bruma at all. Walk outside at it is Bruma at first but not quite, walk around and look for TREES in the distance..start running at them full speed.

7.) You should come across some water...keep running anyways, you should come across some houses and see a castle in the background.

8.) Run up to the castle which is levitating off of the ground so you can't get it to it. Then run behind it an whole there is Fairfax Castle. Confused [*-)] The arched pillar bridge, overhang and all.

I really wish I had a digital camera but mine broke a few years back, I would really love to take a picture to prove I'm not insane, but it is there!!! I'll try and get some kinda of camera and reply to this thread when I can get it uploaded. Smily [:)]

    Re: Fairfax Castle in Oblivion?!

Hm, I did the whole "delete the Wizards Tower and get to the other world" thing like a year ago, and found some cool stuff in there, but nothing like your talking about. The only castle I saw was similar to Cloud Ruler Temple. Other than that, the things I came across were some groups of trees and some sort of wall looking object, and some house with a zombie in the atticStick out tongue [:P]

I'll have to give it another try once I get my Oblivion disc back from my friend.

    Re: Fairfax Castle in Oblivion?!

If you've found the house with the wierd Test Zombie, look toward the 3 castles, not the Cloud Ruler one back in the Bruma TEST site, where you first spawn. There is a gap between the 2 on the most left. Go in between and look at the castle on the far left once you're behind it, it's kinda small comparred to Fairfax, but the archway and texture, as well as the Study tower are very similar.

There are other similiar landmarks such as:

Hero Hill (Stash for the Thieves Guild by Grey Fox) also (Hill above the site of the Heroes Guild in Fable series)

Howling Halls (Dead ceremonial Gatekeeper Cite in Shivering Isles) also (Balverines dungeon area in Fable series)

(There are even more but I would have to look harder.)

    Re: Fairfax Castle in Oblivion?!

The entire castle isn't 100% like Fairfax but the back extruding part, I might be able to get a cell phone pic in a bit, but it would be kinda small. Anyways I'll leave it to you guys to find for now. Stick out tongue [:P]

The other side is a better angle, but I keep falling into a never ending abyss so can't stay in air long enough to take the pic from that end.

Isn't it a part of the Castle Skingrad or something like that?

Anyway, they don't look similar at all.

As I said, the extruding part, with the tower, point on study/point on side, and square top, which is why it is the back of this castle, the front is different as well as the west side.Just a fun find, still looking for similar things such as the names, Hero Hill and Howling Halls. Stick out tongue [:P] (At least for the PC edition I have something to go off of to make a mod, I shall call it Albion or at least Fairfax Gardens, should easily fit in the Oblivion space. Stick out tongue [:P] Also sorry if I made it sound Exact to Fairfax, just noteing the way the building archetiect is similar.

    Re: Fairfax Castle in Oblivion?!

hmm interesting... I can see the resemblance but that oblivion castle looks mega puny in comparison to fairfax.

IMO fairfax looks majestic like any castle should, whereas skingrad or whatever it's called just looks like a large brick house with a spire. Lacklustre.

Maybe you should, because you seem to be getting angry over what someone posted on an ONLINE forum.

Now, shouldn't you be in school? Scoot. Attempting to combined some "big" words to act tough is all ruined by that pathetic spelling [and a sentence that barely makes sense in context to this thread].

INCAPABILITES.. What's that mean? Oh wait, did you mean incapabilities?

And what does posses mean? Did you mean possess?

missing a word like those by one letter isn't a big deal but by miss-using (not sure if that's how you spell it) those words and putting them in one sentence, you just made yourself look like, A. and idiot or B. 12 years old

Alright, alright, cool it down a bit, was just making a reference on something I found. Putting people down isn't going to help since the answer has already been resolved...I don't take your threats in anyway negative, I simpily see them as a means to start trouble on here. Yes I have gotten tired of seeing pointless threads and repititve threads, but I don't lash out like so. Yeah, perhaps I may have over-reacted on seeing this find, but it was pretty neat when I first came upon it and thought I would share it to see ideas and comparrisons...it ISN'T Fairfax Castle otherwise Lionhead would have made Oblivion, which would never happen in this millenium. The arch-way and the study just look familiar, alright...that's all I wanted to know. Confused [8-)]

I'm disturbed by your belief that people will think you're well spoken if you write big words on the internet (oh and misspelling them).

I only see a bit of resemblance between the Oblivion Fairfax castle and the Fable 2 one. The oblivion ones arch is a bit too low.

It's not Oblivion Fairfax castle, it's Skingrad Castle in Oblivion.

The only thing that look a bit the same is the arch and even that is really different, one is a simple bridge (Oblivion) the other is a more complex covert type bridge (Fable II).

The similarities stop there, the the towers, the details, the style are really different.
