I bought black and white 2 when the game first came out, and it was fun, i beat it in like 2 days. I want to play black and white 2 again, and i noticed an expansion came out for it i didnt know about. After reading about it, it looked interesting, but i couldnt find an answer to one of my biggest problems with black and white 2.

I always tried to be an god in black and white 2. but no matter what i did, i still would take over enemy towns through influence while i built my army to prepare to invade and destroy the enemy...I would never get a chance to use my army because id take over the enemy settlements before i could get a sizeable army...Is this a problem still in BoTG? is there a way to work around it? I want an option to turn off "take over by influence" or something to that manner...I dont want to win that way, but i always do, accidently.

I don't think there's really a true way to do that, but you could edit the files to decrease the amount of impressiveness certain buildings are worth. Then you can just build those and not have to worry about winning the game accidentally by being "".

That was my big beef with the game as well, being a god mind you. That I would win the game and take over the land before I got even close to completing the city I wanted to build.

I'll see if I can look and remember what values in what files need to be changed. I haven't messed with modding in ages, but you can check out the modding forums and search there if you don't feel like waiting for someone to get back to you.

It is always tempting to build  an impressive First city but if you want to fight  you really should not build up too much.
In general build up the smaller villages and get most of your troops  from them. In this way you can assemble large armies without  winning through impresiveness.
Also you can  build less impressive  villages  by building in the less impressive areas  and using  less impressive buildings.
