    "good" way to capture cities?

right, back in B&W1 you could use your creature to do miracles and impress the villages to become your own, however in BW2 the only way to capture em - at least in the first few levels that I've played is using your creature to destroy the enemy armies and then send several soldiers to capture the city center thingy. What is the non-E v i l [Evil] way?

EDIT: also what's wrong with the armies AI- they keep getting stuck

In B&W2 the G o o d [Good]  way is to simply build up your start village. It is possible to complete the whole game without making a single platoon if you want.  I find the game much faster  with minimal military, but thats just the way I play. I accept the migrants and leave the empty towns to rot 90% of the time.
    .
Platoons getting stuck 2 immediate thoughts.
1 The unpatched game had problems with  archer navigation.
2 The unit AI is not that great and it is best to keep the paths simple. If the unit path is  L shaped thats not to bad, the problem comes with more complicated routes like S or W shapes.

    Build?

no, that just makes them migrate to you. There are certain quests (scrolls) where you would want to capture a town. When I finish the 6th level of my 8th game, I'll put some villagers at the empty village and see what happens.

    BTW: I ALWAYS play as G o o d [Good]

I'd like to know it too!!

all enemy people came to me (except those from the capital-city).

A lot of resources are in empty cities near me. But how to capture them without military actions?

I try to play G o o d [Good] side.... My land has almost no place to build anymore...

Re: "good" way to capture cities?

The way i always do it is i cancel out the bad with the G o o d [Good].
4 instance i make my capital really nice like proper G o o d [Good].
But then i have lyk a 1 man platoon an he marches in and takes it then i make the city nice enough to pay back its debt.
Its just lyk ethical ofsetting Stick out tongue [:P]

Re: "good" way to capture cities?

You take over towns the G o o d [Good] way by impressiveness. You have to build to earn impressiveness points. When you hover over a town center or the scroll on your it will say how much more impressiveness you need to capture that town. the town will migrate to you and you accept them.

I am not sure about this next part but if a town is abandoned and you take the town, it should not give you E v i l [Evil] points. But please correct me if I'm wrong.

Re: "good" way to capture cities?

Capturing a town using an army gives you E v i l [Evil] points, but not too many if you take over an abandoned town. I play as a G o o d [Good] god and use impressiveness to get immigrants, but I'm on land five and one of the objectives was take over three towns by force, so I've sent the archers you get automatically to capture three abandoned towns after everyone had migrated to my city, and it only took off about 2% of my G o o d [Good] points each time. After that, I just did G o o d [Good] things like build villas and mansions and cast heal miracles to get my G o o d [Good] points back.
Am I the damned? No. I am the optimist.
