    My wife was killed!

    Oh, darnit.

I married Sarah the Farmer in Oakfield... she stood out to me, even though she looks pretty similar to a lot of other NPCs there.

I always made sure to check back in on her between important quests, and she always had a gift for me (usually 5 star item), sometimes would give me multiple gifts on one visit.

We had a little boy I named after my brother, and I was really G o o d [Good] to him... brought him back toys whenever I came home.

He told me he wanted to go on an adventure of mine, so I asked he and my wife to follow me while I investigated a smell coming from Rookridge Inn.

The boy couldn't follow me, but I had no problem convincing my wife to accompany me.

I ended up having to defeat a troll with her in tow. I didn't want to dismiss her and have her wandering through the wilderness, so I had to protect her during the battle by making sure she was out of harms way at every step. It was a particularly hard battle because of this, and it added a whole new dynamic.

I thought it was pretty cool that my wife got to see me defeat one of Albion's largest foes. On my way back to the Inn, however, we were ambushed by a pack of highwaymen and before I could even fight back, one had stabbed and killed my wife.

    Sad [:(]

Tragic ending to a happy story. You can kinda say my second wife also died. I couldn't let my first wife see her, so i just took her into an alley in Bowerstone and shot her dead.

I don't try to get my family involved in my buisiness, even when running routine erands.  I've seen all too well what a pack of Hobbes can do to a traveling peasant on a seemingly pleasant path.

Who I am and what I do is not as important as what I am and why I exist.

Heh.  My wife died quite differently.

    *SPOILERS AHEAD*

The following anectode is typed in white.

I resurected Lady Grey, and decided to marry her, so I took my first wife to the top tower of Castle Fairfax and shot her dead right where Lucien shot Rose in the beginning of the game.  Lady Grey was quite pleased.

    Re: My wife was killed!

Haha, i'm sorry, man. That's a tough loss. I actually enjoy my wife. I've gotten close to a lot of different female characters throughout my Fable 2 Lifetime, and i've always gotten extremely annoyed, extremely fast. I ended up picking my wife up and marrying her to simply get the achievement. I planned on abandoning or killing her directly after, but then I noticed the baby achievement also. So, I ended up staying with her and we moved into my castle. She's actually a really awesome video game wife. Out of all the different wives you're able to have on this game, i'm pretty sure i'm with the one i'd want the most. She's not much of a looker, (none of them are, heh) but she doesn't annoy me. She doesn't cry when i'm gone for days at a time. She takes care of my kid. Lifes G o o d [Good]. Plus she gives me really helpful gifts everytime I go back to visit them. I can be gone for four weeks straight, (in fable time) and their family status would still say, "very happy". It's awesome.

I had another wife, but I was just using her to get the bigamist achievement. Then I had her follow me deep into our house, (not the castle -- some two cent, garbage shack I bought in bloodstone simply for this purpose) and shot her square in the face.

    I love this game.

Yeah, shortly after the bandit's corpse was found, he had a large, hole through his chest and a red magic residue from a ghoul augment. The killer has not been found.
