Embarrassed [:embarrass] Actually I am profoundly lazy and freakishly busy in real life right now (trust me the dichotomy works) so I'm thinking I won't get a movie up till my birthday. Which is March 1st. I will be 30. Wooohooo!!!! Somehow I manage to be working on four plays simultaneously, while working part time, job hunting, and apartment hunting. Methinks I feel a nervous breakdown coming on. Which is why I'm on the forums so much. I get sucked into online communities (look for the same name anywhere and I garuntee its me....hello fellow Sims fans) and find them very relaxing. I think I may have given up on the tycoon game though (earning the platinum award anyway). After my fresh install (see threads I've posted regarding CD key issue) I was doing alright but then freaked out last night and started adding my mods back in for making a TMO movie. That employee mod by cyberops chokes the tycoon game for me but is great if you are putting to gether a large cast movie and need to be able to import a ton of stars from Starmaker. Oh and I ramble. I think in parentheticals and "..."s. Tangental thinking I call it. It's worse in person. Nervous habit over compensating for being painfully shy (which is why I do theatre). OK I'll stop now. Edited because I type too fast.
You were playing the Tycoon game? **Shudders** That can give you a nervous breakdown all on its lonesome... Heh, You must find online communities relaxing, cause I am seeing your posts almost as much as Morts... and thats saying alot. I wouldn't have guessed 30 either.. hmm.

Resource management games have stolen my life. It started with Civilizations (the very first one way back in the day), spread to it's sequels, then moved on to the Sims. After that it detoured over to some more Peter M. gems like Dungeon Keeper and Theme Hospital, and then this text based movie game called Movie Mogul (which is how I found out this game was coming out a few years ago). Somehow or another I ended up on Age of EMpires and EMpire Earth for a minute, then came Starcraft (not so keen on the Warcraft though...go figure). I try to spice it up with some rpgs here and there (Dungeon Siege, Fallout, Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale, etc.) and the occassional shooter or pseudo shooter (American McGee's Alice, Metal Gear Solid). But really I'm all about my god games. Couldn't get he hang of black and white though. Haven't tried 2 yet.
Heh, You must find online communities relaxing, cause I am seeing your posts almost as much as Morts... and thats saying alot.
In anycase it all led me here, to the movies, where I have been running around posting like a madwoman. The more I think about it, I think I've only been on the forums for two weeks, not three. I'm alittle high strung right now. Needs me some relaxation. The best thing about this community (other than this damned thread) is that suddenly my aspirations of someday writing for television can be tested a bit. If any of you are Buffy or Farscape fans, you have screamed at your television at least once, "I hate you Joss Whedon/David Kemper!!!" Someday I want TV fans to hate me just as much. That sounds weird. Heh. The folks at TWoP understand at least.
    I wouldn't have guessed 30 either.. hmm.
Yeah I get that a lot. Roundish cheeks = babyface. Also I dress like a 15 year old skater boy so that adds to it a bit.

Re: Introduce yourself to the community here

Now I'm starting to feel myself as a teletubbie with all these hugs... You know teletubbies, huh? Here in Spain we usually kiss the girls when we're introduced. Two kisses. No, no tongue at all. My wife-girlfriend gave me the game as a present December the 6th... I'm not playing too much lately, due to work, but well... I'm happy to meet some nice people here and watch their movies.

Re: Introduce yourself to the community here

I suppose a hug wouldn't hurt. Hi, my name is Brad, and . . . I'm a Movieholic. Well, I am 14, Yes, please don't get on my case about it. (I'm almost 15 :-D) I enjoy long walks on the beach. Honestly. And I like to spend time with my friends, and especially my girlfriend. Hm. My favorite kinds of movies are Action Movies and Comedies. I can't really say what kind I like making most...probably action movies, the gangster ones. I love all kinds of music, and art, and I am VERY Open minded. Just please, don't try and force anything on me. I'll listen to your opinion, and I'll take it into consideration, but I'm not always going to agree with you just because I'm open minded. I currently live in Virginia Beach, which is in, you guessed it, Virginia. I have lived here my whole life. BUT, enough about me. (Oh really?)
How long have you been a part of TMO?
Probably since Christmas when I got the game. :-P
What do you like about the TMO community?
To be honest, I haven't really been on them enough to say. But I know Ozman and many other members are very nice, and welcoming. Also, a lot of people on these forums have a great sense of humor.
Who made you feel welcome when you came here?
Everyone.

It turns out I'm allergic to this "community spirit". Now my eyes are all itchy and red, and I've developed a terrible rash. Where do I email my complaints to? ;-)

I only got that game to make neighborhoods for Sims2 (and then prom[tly melted the chip set in my old computer so I haven't bothered). I just oculd never get into the older incarnations of it. Havne't tried the newer ones yet.

Re: Introduce yourself to the community here

Just realized that I didn't leave much of a message like you asked.....well, let's see, I'm a 21 year old Australian chick and I am still living at home with my Farther because at this point in my life i am out of work...unfortunatly =[ So I spend my days doing house work and when I'm not doing that, I'm job hunting, and when I'm not doing that I'm in my saintuary (TMO) I live with my Dad, my Little Brother, and my Soulmate. The three of them spend their days on WOW, that is when there not at work. We also have two dogs (silky terrioers) Hey rjb2112 I liked what you said in that realy long post of yours, about how you rate. You don't know me well, but I have been reading alot of your posts and I have grown a respect for you, If you have a spare minute, I would like to know what you have to say about my first release. This is a good post by the way.... <<<>>> *gives everyone a kiss on the cheek*

Yeah and then we could get to know you better. But if you are shy, then don't worry, we'll still hug you anyway. BTW All the hugs here are platonic, whether with a man or a woman. There's plenty of places on the net for that other stuff.

Should have included some details... biggstrek is my nick (I'm Phil), but the studio releases films by myself and my wife. They're pretty easy to distinguish... mine are the crazy/silly ones, my wife's are the sensible/romantic ones (with one noteable exception about lesbians) lol I'm an aussie living and working in the USA (Atlanta, Georgia). 40+ and been married for, um... er, 9 years (had to think!) ooo, almost 10, actually. Main interest right now is movie making... more like an obsession (but you all know what I mean, right?!). When not making movies or dreaming up scripts, I program on out-dated mainframes for airlines. We recently adopted a crazy Great Dane that we named Cosmo (after Kramer in Seinfeld). Turns out it was pretty appropriate! Oh, and he will soon appear in MY next movie as the voice of a monster... Gotta include the whole family! HELLO!!!!!!!

I'd like to think that I understand women quite well. So here is the answer to that question that all men dread. Does my bum look big in this? What do you say? We all know that you don't say yes. So that means we should say no. Wrong! She'll just accuse you of lying. So you're damned if you do, and you're damned if you don't. Wrong again! The right thing to say is; Your bum always looks sexy in that dress, let's not go out, let's fool around instead. She'll giggle like a schoolgirl and tell you not to be so silly, and you'll have a great night out. The love doctor is in! LOL Wink [;)]
