Re: How to Upload your Movies

nixter411 - I have the same problem. I enter everything carefully and I get the connection error. The error message says try another port and I try that and get the same error, over and over, been trying for weeks on and off. fwiw - I am using a Mac version and it's the first time I am trying to upload. My .wmv versions file sizes seem really small for the length of the movie I've made too - when I try to play them with a local Windows Player they stop only 10 second in... I've tried exporting them several times (takes forever for sound and then the movie) and still they're way short. If this is not the right place to ask these questions anyone redirect me and I'll be glad to go wherever. Thx!

Re: How to Upload your Movies

Is there no other way at all to upload movies onto TMO ?...I have a laptop at home, with no internet connection. My girlfriends mother has net conection and wireless router set up (good news for laptop), and we visit roughly once a week. Is there no way that I can get my movies onto here by disk/without running the game with active net connection ?...

Re: How to Upload your Movies

Export the movie in Post production or Movie player at 'online' quality, go to the 'online' section in the main menu, input your username and password (note- once you've associated your CD key with an online account, you're stuck with that account, can't be changed!) and select the movie you want to upload from the list on the left. Wink [;)] You can't upload any other way, this is to prevent piracy and is also why we can't use outside editing on our movies.

Re: How to Upload your Movies

I was having a problem with my movies not being uploaded to the website because I have lost my DC-Key, but now I don't care. I found out today that whether or not you have an internet connection, you can still export up film and it will create a wmv. file to your computer! If you have Winamp, that's great news! Forgive me if this has been covered already... You should be able to find the wmv. file at this path. C:\Documents and Settings\\The Movies\Movies. Again, I apologize if this has been covered, leave it to me to be the answer to the question no one asked.

Re: How to Upload your Movies

How do I burn one of my movies to a DVD, I think that is in a .bup format? I figured out how to burn one of my movies to a CD as a .wmv file, but I can't figure out for the life of me how to burn or save my movies to a DVD in the .bup format.

PM rileyman. He has successfully done it with 'For My Fellow Soldier'.

I'm having the same problem, only they go to 30 seconds then stop. On a Mac as well.

EDIT: Your problem (and mine) is you need to register the Flip4Mac WMV extension. The instructions are here.

The homepage of Global Film Company- http://movies.lionhead.com/studio/evan%20waters

Offline films available at http://www.youtube.com/user/EvanCWaters- now showing TO THE DEPTHS OF SPACE!, THRILLKILLER JOHN, and REPTILE WOMEN OF MARS

That means that someone already logged into the online account using your CD-Key. This is probably most likely because you bought the game from a used game store. Wink [;)]

Take it back, ask for a new copy. If they wont give you one, demand a new copy. If they still wont give you one, ask for a refund and go elsewhere. Stick out tongue [:P]
