Re: What games are you looking forward to and why?
Well I may have already said this before but UFC:Undisputed.
Reason: well look at it

The graphics look amazing

The attacks look brutal

You can perform jumping arm bars.
I'm also quite a fan off MMA and I train in MMA my self, its still not that main stream but its getting there, and this game may bring in some new fans to the genre, unlike the last few games that were so bad even I couldnt play them.
"IrishMorn" If Adon and Sagat step in....ah, what the hell, I'll get drunk and join in on that one.

Re: What games are you looking forward to and why?
Quite looking forward to the recently announced "Silent Hill : Shattered Memories".
It's basically a remake (or, as they inexplicably now call them, reimagining) of the original Silent Hill, and should be out some time around Autumn for the Wii, PS2 and PSP
EDIT - Also any game that improves my typing skills would be ![G o o d [Good]](/emoticons/g_o_o_d.gif) , as they appear so have gone to shite recently. 'Typing of the Dead' just doesn't cut it any moer...

Re: What games are you looking forward to and why?
AjjuMa:Possibly a "The Dark Knight" based game for the 360, I've always been a Superhero Marvel Type guy and I think a game like this would have superb positive feedback just like the movies did.
???? I dont think the new Batman game is based on "The Dark Knight" moive, its actually a seperate game but its going to have nods to several things that happend in the comics, the basic premise for the game its self is from the Arkham Asylum comic book.
There was a game planned that was based on "The Dark Knight" Movie but it was quickly canceld.

House of the Dead: Overkill, although it may not help your typing...
At this point in time I really want: - Alpha Protocol - Mass Effect 2 - Dragon Age Origins - Bioware's Star Wars MMO, if they pull off what they're claiming

Re: What games are you looking forward to and why?
maggot:Funcoms new game looks interesting. I would much rather have a singleplayer adventure game from them but something about this makes me want it. Maybe that is because it isnt the typical orc, forest and knights mmorpg that i have come to hate so much lately. Yeah of course it is pre rendered but damm that looks cool. ![Stick out tongue [:P]](/emoticons/emotion-4.gif) Oh, like Anarchy? That doesn't have the typical orc, forest and knights in it? More like Atrox, Futuristic cities and super civilisations? *Promotes*
But yes, I'm interested in their new game. Not a lot has been revealed though, so until then.

Re: What games are you looking forward to and why?
I have to admit i've never been much of a comic guy, but the batman game looks sick, i'll deffeniatly check it out. That wolverine game is also looking like it will deliver the s. Something about actually displaying what a man with razor claws would do to someones arm excites me ![Big Smile [:D]](/emoticons/emotion-2.gif)
What is that screen from? The artwork looks cool.

Re: What games are you looking forward to and why?
That's from Funcom's "unknown" project that was just revealed to be called "The Secret World". And it's not artwork.
Funcom does make fantastic fantasy single player games, however this will be an MMO. I loved Anarchy Online, despised Age of Conan, and am hoping that they'll redeem themselves with this.
Here's the teaser: http://www.darkdaysarecoming.com/
They're going to be trying something new here as well. They claim there won't be any professions or levels, but that you have complete control over your character developement, and you'll also start out strong rather than weak like most other MMO's. How positive a direction this is remains to be seen!

Yeah only without being bad hopefully. ![Wink [;)]](/emoticons/emotion-5.gif) Anarchy isn't bad, it's just more difficult than your regular MMO. It requires the processing of thoughts.

Re: What games are you looking forward to and why?
I'm looking forward to Spore: Galactic Adventures. I think it'll bring some much needed story elements into the game, and perhaps Spore will finally feel more like a complete game rather than something that could have worked, but didn't.

Re: What games are you looking forward to and why?
It looks interesting, but then again so did the game before i played it. Personally i refuse to buy one more piece of add-on garbage for any Maxis game, its like they intentionally dissapoint so the can put a bandage on with "Expansion" packs.
Thank you MJ, you are so kind to me ![Wink [;)]](/emoticons/emotion-5.gif)
The game i am most looking forward to is CoD 6. Every FPS nutter will be playing it for a year on xbox live ![Big Smile [:D]](/emoticons/emotion-2.gif)

Re: What games are you looking forward to and why?
I doubt mr. Wright intentionally released a game that missed some essential elements. A well made game sells better than a game that isn't finished. Besides, considering the usual financial limitations of any production I find it more realistic to think they just ran out of time/money, and had to release what they had so far.

What we saw on Spore is what many others try to do with their games in the last 5 years. They make their games easier to access, so the casual market is buying it. Not a bad thing as such but the more experienced gamers, like me, need something with more depth. Many many games nowadays offer only a shallow and repetive experience by a only 5-10 hours of gameplay. On the consoles casual games work well because that is were the audience is, on the PC their is not much casual market though, so this must have been failed. The people playing casual games simply don't bother with playing on a PC ... to complicated to start for them. consoles are easier to access. Spore would have been a huge success on the consoles! Apart from this Spore pissed off the people by using DRM activation. Justified rightly to be the most pirated game in games history. Maybe The Godfather 2 could beat it. What a bad game The Godfather 2 is, how can anyone release such a bulllcrap in the year 2009? No wonder there are no demos released for such games. ![Sleeping [:zleeping:]](/emoticons/sleeping.gif)

Eh??? You are aware that casual games like Peggle, Bookworm, Mystery PI etc make a frankly embarrassing amount of cash on the PC platform? If anything they're more successful than 'Gamer' games. Casual Gaming is very much alive and thriving on PCs - just look in any office and count the number of people furtively logging onto the PopCap website - and that's doing the comparatively 'complicated' method of playing games online. Then the go home, go to the website, and hit the bright button marked 'Download' to play some more... Considering the huge installed base of relatively low-spec PCs, and the demand for casual games, it's not surprising casual games do so well on the platform.
