    Re: New Achievements

I'm not worried about the achievements being able to be obtained if you've
already met the requirements because I'll probably just start a new character
for the DLC just like I did with Knothole.

It makes the game seem a lot longer that way.
You don't just blow through the DLC in a few hours
    and wind up feeing disappointed.

I'm guessing they'll add more demon doors as well.

Sometimes it's easier to walk away then post.
I'm a huge fan of Lionhead's Dev team.

    Re: New Achievements

Does anybody recall whether the Knothole achievements appeared in this way on xbox.com,and if so how long before the release of Knothole did they appear?

    Re: New Achievements

I know they appeared early but I'm not sure how early.
I found them when I was putting around Bowerstone market
and I checked someone's profile there were new achievements...
Neither of us had them of course because it wasn't out yet but they were there.

You forgot to mention the part about passing along Hope (in mutton form) to those you come across in your travels.

I'll get you for that. And your little dog, too! Laugh []

    Re: New Achievements

so apparently this will be the last DLC then? Too bad. Even after the new one I had hoped they would have expanded the world more. They have such potential there already and it would literally keep the game going for quite some time. Well I guess we will have to see what lies ahead. If no more dlc then it's been a fun ride to say the least.

I don't know if that's a G o o d [Good] thing or a bad thing because Bethesda was also highly criticized for the horse armor DLC that was widely viewed as a ripoff.

very true about the horse armor, but the added lairs, spell tomes, knights of the round and shivering isles more than made up for that little "snaffu"... in my opinion...

Hey a dlc with the breadth and scope of shivering isles would be great with me. That thing was massive.

    Re: New Achievements

Does anyone think the necromancer there talking about could be Scyth/William Black? Presumably after beating him you get a vision of the future, which makes sense if the final boss is scyth/William Black.

There is a Blog entry about it here - http://community.lionhead.com/blogs/fable_2_development/archive/2009/04/23/3330503.aspx - and in the comments you can find some extra info about the 3 retail achievements posted by our very own Ted.

Also the frontpage of www.lionhead.com was changed, it's gone doggy-style! Ninja [:ninja:]

You know, I just thought of something...what happens if there's a new demon door in this DLC? And what if it's hidden in the snow-globe village? That's an easy way to avoid that situation.

But if not, we can always try stepping through one of the doors and see if the achievement unlocks that way too. Kinda like the gargoyle achievement.Wink [;)]

I've never heard of the show mentioned in that, but then again I don't watch much tv. That will be hard to co op with two "stars" when co op consists of only two players at a time. What are all the others suppose to do that wants to play. Wonder if there is a time limit so they can try to play with several people. Oh well....

Anyways...love the new achievement list. Guess I better get working on opening Demon Doors unless I co op with someone and we go through any Demon Door (if they have opened them all) and it will give it to me like the Gargoyle one works?

My guess is, the "stars" of the show will hang out in a place where everyone can see their orbs (like Bowerstone Market), and they'll just answer questions about their new show. I've seen a couple of the previews on Live, and it looks somewhat amusing.

Its funny a few days ago, I was thinking there should be some achievement for those silly demon doors...  I am just worried about the chicken suit...  I need one!  Now all those kids me and my hubby have tried for (we have 3 but a million tries for a 4th) will be useful...

going back to the costumes they are supposed to be crude and obviously fake like the chicken suit and if scythe makes an appearance its more likely in the snowglobe than the colliseum i doubt your rather untrained hero can defeat they guy that couldve screwed over chicken chaser

'Tis another game that breaks the 1250 mark, that's for sure.Big Smile [:D]

But I'm curious...what happened if you opened all the demon doors? And made sweet, sweet love twenty-fives time, fixed twenty-five bandits? Will those just automatically unlock or will you have to step into an opened demon, make love once more and fix one more bandit?Cheeky [:cheeky:]

    Nice find.Up []

The 1000 Gamerscore limit is only for games without DLC.
I'd guess you have to start a new hero to get the open all demon doors achievement, hopefully anyway, i'm guna start a new hero when the DLC comes out =p
