Well I dunno about you but my target is to recreate all maps from bw1 with battle ai

I was planing a b&w oldschool mod, which means, that i wanted to bring all features from b&w1 + 2 together. This could mean that i want to build the old maps again, too.

Get some basic scripting skills first :-) That is a declared function, you need to call it with run script

How did you get that texture? I can't get anything like that...

Can someone write a decent texture library? What im looking for is a list of the best grass textures, rock textures, sand textures etc

I will tomorrow if I can, free textures, I have a bunch, I'll put a downloadable zip with insturctions

I'm thinking about a tutorial about how to texture nicely, because the most of you have some probs with it. If you want to learn it by yourself, then just load land1 and study the texturing, it's best for it.

Looking good! I've made a few landscapes now (I love doing the mountains 'Specialy with nice winding paths leading to the peak), but texturing takes me a while,'cos I like it to be perfect I'll post some pics of my best ones tomorow or somthing.

Heres my work so far, im making a test sandbox map - though i havent looked at the scripting yet. Im gonna be counting on you experts when the time comes! from on high from the beach Its small but i didnt want to spend ages on a large map only to lose all my work in one of the various ways its possible to do so..

I love those books, their fab (your thinking of Slartifast or whaterver his name was, lol. He did the glaciers ) The film was ok... Anyway, I've started a new map which is mainly mountains, with all paths leading through them. Texturing it now

right, im in a pickle with the texturing part, where are the textures :S yeah sounds a bit noobish of me, and it is. im new to the mapping thing (apart from BFME1-2's map editors)

When you click "add layer" you must click "set" from the browser that pops up they are grouped into different folders based on culture (greek, egyptian, generic etc)

Ah that's some great work right there Spiffington! Loving the texturing. Keep it up!
