Try an uninstall/reinstall, that is the best I've got. I don't know much about the actual program.

Thanks, this works very well. Only question I have is what do you save your file as if you want to create more than one static overlay? E.g. to save one you call it overlay_animo_v00, but what do you call the next overlay you create as always naming your file overlay_animo_v00 overwrites the file each time.

On the first frame you have _v00, and then _v01 and so on and so forth... Wink [;)] KS

Make sure that you resize your image to 512x512 before exporting. Otherwise the converter won't work.

    Re: Overlays Made Simple v2

So if I read that correctly, does this mean with Paint it is not possible to create transparent overlays...?

    Re: Overlays Made Simple v2

Correctumundo! You need a program like: Gimp, photoshop, Fireworks or something that supports transparent images. ~freak

    Re: Overlays Made Simple v2

This is a most excellent tutorial Tigereyes, detailed. I usually use DXT3 format, not 5, however, it still saves the alpha, but I'll try 5, maybe there's more colourdepth. You should not generate MIP maps on saving, unless another process restores it to normal, however... there's a screenshot indicating to do so in the tutorial. I have a tutorial concerning overlays posted on the TMO Bar & Grill, but it lacks these great screenshots.
