    Re: Legend of the Sandgoose

Why do people idolize around one object.. You hear one little word and you go from the cheating husband calling is mistress a sandgoose to a "Legendary SANDGOOSE Sword" it is very funny, And atleast The Singing Sword was real.. In a sense but its just a lute not a real sword, And it was also never added into the game itself.

There is some part of me, that hopes to God the OP of this thread is a troll. No offence intended of course. Now, onto the matter at hand. As far as I know, there is no sandgoose, I've seen many debates on it, and Sam himself (That's the Sam Van Til Burgh who is in the credits, alot) has denied it. He isn't one for lies. I'm sorry, but you should probably just move on to a different game.

    Re: Legend of the Sandgoose

I don't see why people put the idea of the Sandgoose down when they of course are orbiting around the idea of what someone else said to disprove it and have no real proof it does not exist. I'm not saying you can't believe in it. In fact, I encourage you to urge your efforts to disprove it. It only makes the believers of the Sandgoose work harder. I am just asking why people are trying to get others to disbelieve. If you don't believe, okay, but don't go running around posting to people that are working hard to just give up because they are wasting their time. If they don't take what you say into thought, then they are obviously not going to give up. So stop pursuing us. I am not trying to be offensive, I just wan't the showers of negativity to stop.

The Sandgoose and the Singing Sword are very much the same, i nthe sense that they both had as much chance to make it into the game and both spark a lot of rumours about themselves and how to see/obtain them. The Sandgoose is just a bit more though since it was originally an inside joke at one of the older Fable forums. It eas started by a member named Atchoo who made the bird up. Anyway there's just a small bit more to the sotry but I'm too lazy to do it myself right now. Just use the search function and look for "Sandgoose origins", that should get you there.

    Re: Legend of the Sandgoose

I'm surprised rumors are still flying arund about this. But, there are new Fable players every day. Come one, come all, I suppose. MarcopoloM and Keshire have confirmed the Sandgoose not to be in Fable. They are a couple of well renowned modders of this Fable community, and have looked through the game's files to confirm its non-existance. Wink [;)]

No. You believe to easily in Rumors and Lies. Two of the most respected Fable Forum's Modding Members have said that they don't exist. A Dev has said it before aswell. Now...Lets see. Believe in probably false rumors or definate answers. Hmm.. I'll leave you to decide.

You know, I just realized that there are more users trying to disprove the Sandgoose on a Sandgoose enthusiasm forum than there are believers. Doesn't seem right.

I think if they've made their way through every file in the game, I'd think you know why someone says it dont exist.

Thank you Sam-o, but I really wouldn't call it crushing our dreams. I understand that they are mearly trying to help us realize their point of view. Although, under the circumstances of our search, they certainly are being persistant. Yet, it is not nessacery.

    Re: Legend of the Sandgoose

There's only two references to the Sandgoose in the entire game. 1. In Oakvale during the childhood part. The guy cheating on his wife calling the girl his little Sandgoose. 2. What the Oracle says about. That's it. And we're not crushing anybody's dreams. Just stating facts. I know a lot of people want the sandgoose to be in it. But the game has already been made and it's simply not in there. You'd be better off aiming your efforts towards getting it into Fable 2. At least then you might have an actual chance.

I know that. What I want to know is how can you prove it is not real. Have you looked through the game files? No, you haven't (Plus the references of it in the game itself doesn't really matter since it was meant to be edited out). You are just following along to what someone else has said when you have no real idea if it is real or not. You call us misguided, but you are the ones sounding like the pawns here. I know you might reply the same about us, but there is one large difference. We are actually following something, and progressing foward into finding the Sandgoose. While you on the other hand are simply trying to stop us in our tracks with the same data over and over again that you may have never even seen before, just heard of from users like MarcopoloM. Once again, I am not trying to be offensive.

If some of the most well known modders look through EVERY file, they say it doesn't exist...I would take their word over yours.
