    looking good, I'm looking forward to seeing what you can do with this. One question - why are you writing a new landscape editor? Also the creatures aren't bwms, I don't doubt someone will be able to crack the formats and work it all out but it's going to be hard. EDIT: sorry that should say aren't bwms

    I want people to be able to add new models that are exported/converted in .bwm to the editor which includes those from BoTG. What we have atm is good but its not enough, and we have so much limitation that people are obviously giving up on it, plus the visual effects editor does work but it just won't let you use these custom VFX in the game. But I guess LH might end up cutting me short because I don't have the files for Black & White 2's engine. Oh and order don't worry I won't give up on the other maps, once Kayo and Greenpatch are out that's it, there will be no more versions, but ToTC will continue until its total completion. And as I say this I have already begun working on the script side of OGAM, more of it the Creature Selection which will be the best Creature Selection ever. Plus I am still sticking by what I said about no releases until it is done. Estimated time will be 2 years as long as LH does hold off BnW3(if ever??). Btw the Altar actually got another do-up so I'll give out some pics soon for it and the Storehouse's main building will have to be shrunk, but that's all for the moment. Daxter

    Hey everybody it's now time to reveal two secrets for this pack. The fourth and final resource is not doubt Mana and in this case the mana you build up can be used to replenish all miracle based buildings, so if their power drops to 0 then grab some mana from the storehouse(not the Altar) and place into your miracle-based buildings. The second secret is the missing wonders. Thanks to Lionhead's brilliant idea of leaving behind the textures for the non-existant wonders I can easily model the missing wonders and bring them into the game. The first I am working on is the Womd and it looks superb. Btw all the missing wonder's scripts and visual effects and script commands are also usable in the scripting side so there is absolutely no doubt that creating these missing wonders for you all to use to your heart's content(including the Womd which has its own music included). So expect the best of the womd soon. Daxter

    i dont understand the mana thing as a resource :P to get the missing wonders into the game is a cool thing. which miracles will return into the game?

    Well a god needs power to survive yes, then basically the MANA from the storehouse is your resource. The villagers will build it up for you and then you can use it however you want. To replenish, throw, pour, build and destroy. Womd, Stoptime, Verdant, Decay, Life, Death, Invisibility and the others I haven't mentioned. If you want to see what miracles are missing then check the MiracleTypeEnum file for the list which can be found included with the BW2 Modding Tools.

    awesome. I cant believe you are actually modelling shipyards and new buildings><. Please tell me when you have finished the ships, and keep up the good work^^. I have been gone for awhile so I havent been able to read all the news.

    What can I say I'm gifted. Doesn't take me long to get used to something. In this case Max is second-nature to me. But I don't see anyone else trying(if they know what they are doing). Now imagine how that thing would look in the game, and all I need to do is convert it and right now I am looking for someone to do that tool. Also now that the Womd is out of the way for now, it makes me wonder what building to do next.

    That's right it is the building for the WoMD or Wonder of Mass Destruction. It's ready to be converted when the time arrives. I actually am having trouble with Max 9, so I've contacted Autodesk and they'll get back to me soon about a solution. Plus I've kind of begun the scripting of the Tutorial Island and all goes well, especially the new creature selection. It's real simple: - anims just like at the start of BnW2's main game - Click once on the creature, its statue will appear on the statue base in the middle of the CS area, then click the statue to select him. - Then the player and creature is moved to CS customize area and the player then can choose their creature's starting alignment, weight, height and strength. - Then once its all done the player is directed to lead the creature through a set of rings to the player's main town, to then complete the gold scroll.

    Yes i was curious about that as well. Also would the Womd epic have a similar affect of a nuclear explosion?

    If I recall correctly, the WOMD epic makes people sick and die. I'm not sure (read:don't remember) what causes it, but a nuclear explosion is a good guess.

    It's simple, one switch post for selecting(e.g. Alignment left click to increase and left click + LShift to decrease), one other switch post for accepting the current selection. It's all commanded in the script.

    Well thanks to Max's particle system, I can answer that soon when I produce pics of the final result but most likely it will be the same. And yes Max 9 is fixed, Autodesk told me that there was a licence error and gave me an activation code to re-activate it as a full copy, and I am grateful.

    If you ever used the visual effects for the womd or even seen the megablast miracle pic for Land 1 then you would know that it is quite destructive, like a burst of energy built up by the WoMD epic. EDIT: Oh and btw, if anyone wants to use 3dsMax 9 to help out with the modelling of the buildings exclusively for this game pack and sometimes for fun, then I'll be happy to export my full-registered license for Max 9 that will last forever, so that you can use for as long as you want and it will never expire, but you'll only be able to acquire it through my forums or by email.
