I've not seen this confirmed anywhere personally (anyone?) Although I wouldn't be suprised to see it. I'm assuming that a small, enclosed environment where you can pitch two or more players in against each other in an arena fight or some other form of contest(s) would be the easiest way of having online play other than co-op. In short, it makes sense to me. I'm hoping for this and maybe more from the online features although I'm really trying hard not to be greedy...

This does not make sense to me.  So what this is saying is, because people enjoyed playing as a certain type of character, they are making it harder to play that type of character this time?  Sounds kinda silly to me.

Also, just to add to Gravenstien's point, it was hard to be an hero when every time you killed an enemy points were thrown at you. The only way to stay fully was to go massacre a village or two after each quest you did.

Second time i replayed the game i simply went to the Guild, kept killing the guards constantly, got fully in like 20minutes just from that. Guild get's destroyed next quest there ya go no biggy at all.

 

Being was as simple as that, because guards just kept coming in the smaller towns. They also looked ridiculously stupid...

I use to go to the cities and do nothing but kill the gurds it did suck I couldn't kill the people there without hiring someone... damn bowerstone.

I think what they're saying is that being truely actually takes some level of sacrifice, so being shouldn't just be the default route as it was in Fable, where you simply didn't murder villagers and guards, did the quests and made a few nice moral decisions and ended up looking like Jesus. If you want to be seen as being this wonderful and pious again you're going to have to work hard and sacrifice to achieve it...

what the hell are you supposed to do? fight bandits with a bulging baby belly? and if you die, does it take away 2 ressurection phials for the life of your child? or will it just be a cutscene where you have sex, then 9 months passes in a few seconds and you have a baby?

He says in this video that you will be pregnant and fighting, then 9 months later, you get a kid. He also says that he hopes he can keep it in, as some media people may take it and run with it.

I really hope that it stays in though, the anti-video game Nazis are ridiculous, but I can totally see them trying to talk crap about fighting while you're pregnant. Damn FOX news! Sometimes being an American sux, as we all know it is our media who would have a fit about it.

I may be misunderstanding, but it appears that he is saying, in this video, that they are scrapping the traditional halos and horns thing. It's about 20 minutes or so in.

Just as a thought, in regards to two heroes having a child...

Firstly, who will the child take after, its mother or father? Or some form of half-way house between the two?

Secondly, where would it live - both parents will be out on adventures, leaving the baby to go straight to the workhouse.

Thirdly, wouldn't every baby created by two heroes look exactly the same, at least at first? All femal heroines will look identical at first (as a child), before they start to make life and appearance-changing choices (the same goes for male heroes). So surely as all heroes are genetically identical all of the children will be born identical. They'll have to be in fact - our children grow to look like us, they can't be born or as they have to be able to morph to look like our character. So if I was , and had an baby in the game, what would happen to the child if I converted to being - it would become a child?

I think there's a few too many problems will the idea of two heroes having a baby for it to end up in the game although I remain to be proven wrong.

Well we don't know what sort of character customization features will be available yet. You might be able to choose a face for your char or such.
