I will never buy Fable 2 unless its available for me to buy. By not releasing this you are preventing sales of your product. Please release for PC, or at least get someone in charge to announce your intentions on this matter.

I'm very disappointed with your company at the moment and its treatment of fans.

    Tired [:tired:]

I agree totally with this, even though i'm going to get a 360 after my exams the only reason why i wanted it was because of Fable 2 but it sounds stupid paying £150 for one game. How is someone supposed to buy a game that isn't available to the consumer?

    Re: Computer or Xbox 360

I agree, chipbobo needs to qualify 'better', as this is most definitely a subjective term.

Some people prefer consoles because there is no setup involved, no installation, no hardware compatibility problems (although, apparently there are problems anyway), and they prefer the console controller.

I however, like being able to set the game up how I want it, with graphics details tweaked just so. I also can't use a console controller to save my life . . . I never could, even after hours upon hours of playing Halo 2 on Xbox. I tried to get better, but I still have issues with running around looking at the ground or the sky - its Goldeneye all over again . . . and it makes me 'sad face' Sad [:(] "Taste the happy Michael!" "No-no...Tastes kind of like sad."

    Re: Computer or Xbox 360

Do you know what i just wish would happen... That one of the lionhead officials can just come out with the truth maybe something like these:
"Ummm... we aren't working on a PC version yet but will almost certainly in a couple of months or so"
"We are working on a PC Version of Fable 2 as we speak"
"Another publisher is porting Fable 2 to PC"
"Neither us nor any other publishers are or ever will work on a PC version of Fable 2"
Just something like that to stop the speculation and to put everyone's minds at rest. Please just please give us some news on it, no maybes, no ifs, no not yets. Just yes or no!! I rest my case.

at this point i think lion head can burn in hell if they make people wait this long to even find out if a game will possibly be released in the future then there going to lose customers so screw them im not going to buy a xbox to buy a damn game and at this point i may not even buy it at all even if it releases on pc.

im sure they will deeply miss your 60$

but in all seriousness, they more then likely wont come out with a PC version ( because they havnt even started on one ) but if they do i think id definitely buy it

I really hope they will release a PC version and soon, but just because they havnt started it, it doesnt mean that they wont it only took a few weeks to port Fable TLC from Xbox to PC.

    Re: Computer or Xbox 360

    >_> soon, i doubt.. fable 2 is a much more expansive game, its a lot bigger, itd be a lot more copying, and if they were to release it 'soon' itd probably be posted already

and btw, just so i dont get any misconceptions, what is 'soon', soon relative to when the earths polarity will switch ( within the next thousand years) or soon relative to when ill drink my next cup of tea ( here in a few seconds)

    lol ^^ [^^]

if they are going to make a pc version of f2, theyll probably lock wraithmarsh off air tight from being able to get outside of the level to explore old oakvale

    Re: Computer or Xbox 360

Well maybe they arent working on it... Maybe some bad studio that have nothing better to do is (silicone knights? Wink [;)] ).

Anyway i'm still hoping but it's not really something i would storm out and buy on release day... Fable didnt interest me much and i didnt even bother finishing it, no matter how many times lionhead and ms say it wont come to pc i will keep believing. ^^ [^^]

    Duckanator:
And Woody once again confirmed it for not being for PC anytime or anytime soon... End of discussion.

I doubt they would actually tell you that they started on it even if they had. Just like bioshock wasnt coming to ps3 and they werent working on it and then magically a couple of days later it was announced even with screenshots. Hmm [^o)]

Not end of the f****ng discussion.

    Mortalitis_Infinitas:

I've read countless articles showing that consoles outsell the PC but I've read countless articles that also seem to report the opposite.  Suffice it to say, it's hard to tell at this point in the industy what exactly is happening.  The one thing that remains consistent, however, is that developers prefer developing for consoles it seems.  Mostly due to consistent specs and such.  There's less of a hardware specs variable when it comes to consoles which kind of makes the development a bit more "universal" so to speak.

PC games still sell quite well especially if they bother making G o o d [Good] ports or if it is a pc game only. A game like empire total war even with the crazy specs to get it running just decently pushed killzone 2 and halo wars away from the fight for the first place on the sales chart.

    Re: Computer or Xbox 360

Ok here i am Smily [:)] Prepare yourself for my novel:

    First i want to say:
Don't you see that Woody is just playing with you? I can imagine that his strategy was just write two sentences and see how the situation will emerge. He sits on his chair and laugh his ass off how people make such a big drama and speculations from his two sentences. But anyway:
I'm on your side (in opposition to Duck) and Fable is just the best game I've ever played.Btw: I'm playing since 1998 so i'm not one of that kiddys like :"Wow cool... look at Cryteks(Crysis) Graphic and Engine... Crysis is cool... it has such beauty Trees and 1 million polygons... the game sucks and it has no story(so i could play seriousSam) and it's gameplay is only |go >kill go>destroy go>go| but who cares."
    So i want to say that I'm more that critical Guy that criticizes every game. But Fable is just an exception. I spent hours/weeks/months with it. I played it five times (G o o d [Good]|G o o d [Good],G o o d [Good]|E v i l [Evil],E v i l [Evil]|G o o d [Good]|E v i l [Evil] and E v i l [Evil]|G o o d [Good]) and then with mods and I'm still modding.
But the new coop mode is just awesome. Many Games tried to apply that Style (look 1999/2001/2005) but no one was successful. With this "I have my world that is different from yours" -mode I would play about one year and replay it all time. Every Game-session is unique.

Anyway let me sum it up and go b2t and comment some posts:
    !!!!
    First to the topic:
From Peter Molyneux.Quote from "10 Questions: Lionhead's Peter Molyneux":
I'm a big Fable fan, but I don't have an Xbox 360. Is Fable II going to come to the PC and will it be expanded like The Lost Chapters?

It's not my decision whether or not we produce any other versions of Fable II. If the person who asked this can guess the highest amount of money that a player has accumulated from playing the XBLA Pub Games at the time of launch, I'll send them an Xbox 360!
    !!!
well well ^^ send xbox 360 pls Big Smile [:D].. anyway
    FuKuy:

    - PC version means more units sold. Many people don't have a 360.  Many countries even don't have access to buy 360 console. And PC is still strong market in many countries (China, Korea, Gemrany, Russia, Poland, Spain, Denmark, Norwey, etc.).

    - PC version can give the players a better game experience (more resolution, better graphics, minor load times, MOD support, free online, easier to take screenshots and videos, possibility to choose control pad or keyboard/mouse, etc.)

    - PC version can be sold for years. Nowadays no one can go to a mall and play Fable 1 on Xbox. Xbox is dead. But PC is stil alive, everyone can still go to a mall and buy a PC and Fable TLC to play it. And with digitial distribution (like STEAM, D2D, GamersGate, Gametap, etc.), games can live forever.

    Is simple as that.

    /SIGNED
    Absolutely!
    drewp29:
I agree, LH should fix all the bugs/glitch issues with the 360 version and I am sure they are working on these problems as I type.

Well maybe you should watch Lionhead Video Diaries - Episode 8 here:
    Duckanator:
Lets put it short... They should be more concerned about their reputation then making more money off PC gamers...

What the f*** man? Do you really think that they will achieve more reputation with restricting the Port?NO,THEY WON'T! I live by to my own principle and I'll get angry if they don't port it. Look , LH is the best concern in Game Developing. There is no comparison to LH. Peter Molyneux is a great idol for all. He never gave up.
is first attempt was a game called The Entrepreneur, a text-based business simulation game, which was a commercial failure. He sold it twice... ONLY TWICE Big Smile [:D]
And besides: He is suffering from dyslexia.
But look at him now. He can be very proud.
But the worst decision he ever made is to work with MS.Almost a traitor. So what's about reputation, huh?
And by the way: didn't you said that you want to shut your trap about 3 posts ago?
    drewp29:
Some people prefer consoles because there is no setup involved, no installation, no hardware compatibility problems

What the Hell? o.O What problems? That's not an argument because ... i never saw problems like that.(except you are a dumb idiot[and i don't mean you drewp29])

Most of you bring that argument with piracy.
Even with piracy, Fable II for PC will earn more money than it will lose.

So LH,you have to make amends for that betrayal(with MS). Bring it on or prepare to die Big Smile [:D] *jokingly*
But if a pc version will be released i can forget my Reallife.

    easy as that.

No.Unfortunately it's not "easy as that".
On the Port from Fable(xbox) to Fable TLC (PC) there was another situation.
LionheadStudios didn't had this shitty Coorperation with Microsoft. I don't know why they did that but now MS has influence on all this. I suppose they did it because of financial reasons but i just suppose.
I am not here to dispute the points in their entirety, because it is all subject to opinion.

    Re: Computer or Xbox 360

Seeing today is the First of April which usually means nothing for news, I stumbled about a news in a well known German PC games magazin: Interview with P. Molyneux: Fable 2 for the PC to come in 2009.

They claim to have done this interview yesterday, on Tuesday and so far I see no hint on it being an April Fools Joke, apart from the general posting of wrong news today. Usually they give you some hints by huge exaggeration. But from the general approach of the article they seems very serious about it. Pretty poor joke if it is only a hoax. Huh? [:^)]

Any word on this Lionhead? Tongue Tied [:S]

well no wonder... i'm living here in germany (but i'm not german) and i can tell you .. pcgames.de is only known for their shitty rumors... so cut it out... forget it
    BUT REALLY NOW:
For those who don't speak german:
Maybe it's true.Didn't you though about it that not pcgames lied.... molyneux did... maybe this telephone conversation is real... but he lied ... because the last sentence here:
" Herrlicher Scherz, Herr Molyneux. Wir haben herzhaft

    means

    Nice Joke,Mister Molyneux.We laughed cordially.
    |
But you know.I've read the "conversation" and there are some things that Molyneux said (I don't know if he did) that are just... well ...it's not his Style you know.
    But we can hope..

Well i'm just gonna keep on hoping, who knows what will happen in the future, for all we know they could have a massive argument and break off from MS and then they might even make it for PS3 and PC lol. As unlikely as this is who knows what will happen. But i sure hope that they release it for PC.

Yeah, but, Lionhead ported Fable:TLC to PC, so I'd assume Lionhead would port Fable 2 to PC. It seems a bit early to talk about a port. It took F1 a few years to make its way to PC. It seems inevitable, but like Woody said, there's no work being made on a port, nor is it in any of their future plans yet.

and ferral ported it to mac
