Well, I completed the game with it only crashing once or twice. Manage to complete a couple of quests (buying the mansion, resurrecting [and converting to lesbian] Lady Grey... and now I can't play for more then 2 minutes... I've tried starting a new game, I've switched over to a new profile. Still the same problem.
I'm currently copying the game to my HD to see if that will solve the problem. If not... well, I'm going to have to take my game to the used game shop and get something I can play.
Needless to say, Lionheart, I am very dissappointed in you guys.

I would like to report my current buglist on Fable 2 for XBox 360. I am not angry at all on you guys and women at Lionhead Studios.
I am an IT professional myself and thereby know that you all must be going through a lot of intensive programmingwork and that inevitably some bugs will occur.
Especially considering the complex routines you must have implemented to produce a game as Fable and Fable 2, which make it possible for a game to maintain 1000's of individual NPC's
to have their own particular behaviour within the defined environment, all reacting on fluctuations within the AI matrix You guys and women deserve a statue!
To Hell with all those ignorant game-consumers that don't have any EQ and haven't learned anger-control for disappointments in games hehe

I hope the patch will solve these, we'll see...

Issues

- Continuous exclamation mark on Clothing section.

- This issue appeared since I got to The Crucible for the first time, together with Hammer. I didn't go into The Crucible, but instead went to pay 5000 golds to ZZZ and then I think I zoned to Bowerstone Market. Since then
I wasn't able to enter/zone into Westcliff, except for The Howling Halls. The Crucible quest is highlighted in blue as also the Slave Rescue quest.
Slave Rescue quest has a repetitive task within the list, stating:  'Follow the instructions on the note' for each time I use the note with D-pad, as instructed to on the upper info screen.
When I set The Crucible as my active quest and try to set trail and travel, the game states 'You haven't found this location yet...'.
The console freezes on a black screen, only powering off and on possible, after loading screen for Westcliff.
I have 3 sites available within Westcliff: The Westcliff Camp, Brightwood Road and The Howling Halls.
2 Bounty Hunter quests are stuck, as they ask me to go to Westcliff.

UPDATE: Westcliff zone accesible again!

I seem to have solved this game-breaking bug by eliminating the Slave Rescue quest agressively. My guess was that the Slave Rescue quest, which had these repetitive tasks noted within the quest description, had to be deleted somehow...so I got arrest on Attempted Murder x 1, when I shot the grey guard, on which the game stated the job is ended (Execution Warrant the other note disappeared from my inventory) .

I immediately set the Community Service I had chosen as payback for my crime, zoned to the region mentioned within the Community Service description, resolved the service (had to shoot some beetles in a farm in Oakfield) and when the game stated my service had ended Iset The Crucible as active quest, however couldn't zone directly yet. When I choose The Westcliff Shooting Range, I could choose a nearest location within Westcliff and after a thrilling loading screen...tada, I was back in Westcliff !

I brought my corruption level up from full pure to full corrupt to get through the demon door, but everytime I fire my game back up even though he's back up to full purity he is surrounded by flies.

Whenever I complete the Arena, after beating the final room, I get frozen in place.

Why??????  My game is still freezing  i just downlaoded the update and it didnt fix my anything for me. I didnt have any problem with this game until i beat it the 2nd time though and now i cant play for more then 5 minutes before it freezers, it sucks i spend $120 on this game for nothing. Lionhead studios you have fucked up big time (sorry for the language) never will i waste my money on one of your games again if you can even call it that. Ive tryed starting a new game but even before i get to be an adult it freezers so there is no way im getting the knothole DLC.

I could have agreed with what you say, had it not been for the fact that many games come out today with just a few bugs. You would at least think the patch could fix a lot of them, but you can still see many people having problems here. It seems like no one can play through the game without encountering several issues ...

One of my wives is gone...vanished.  She didn't leave me.  Her status is still there, and my baby remains upstairs.  She is just not in the world anymore.  I took her into another zone before I realized she was following me, then dismissed her, now I haven't seen her again.

This is really annoying.

Same with me. My Husband was the Blacksmith for Bowerstone Market, and everything was all fine, til one day I went to see him and there was no yellow trail towards him? My child is still there, but my husband has vanished. It's been forever since he went missing now, I just went along with everything else not thinking it would matter.

Now that I finished the last major quest, with Lord Lucien and the music box, the new quest comes up "Retribution", so I clicked on it, thinking it would take me to my family in Oakfield (I had a different family living in a Demon Door home). But it took me to see my Blacksmith Husband in Bowerstone. Now I can't finish that quest because I can't find him.

 

I've also experienced the furniture glitch. I'd swap the Drawers, Stove & Sink, when I'd leave to another region and come back (even saving just after I've refurnished the house), those three things are back to what they were before. I just don't bother buying them anymore.


Now I don't know if this is a glitch, but my Furniture Store in Bowerstone will NOT stock any Furniture anymore. At first she did, now she has nothing to sell but a book? It's been like this for ages, so I've just been buying from Bloodstone. I've tried selling the Furniture Store, nothing changed. I killed the Furniture Seller, nothing changed. I bought the stupid book, nothing changed. She just stocked the same book the next day.

Annoying, but I still love the game.

Everything will go off without a hitch until I press A at the bed, then it asks "protected sex" or "unprotected sex" I click one and nothing happens it just says I slept and then my wife seems to be mad at me for it?!?

This also has happened to me a few times.

Also, when I first went to the Crucible, I stood out front and Mad dog wouldn't talk to me at all. Really annoying. Finally I got it to work, I can't remember how though.

I bougt a house in Oakvale, moved my wife and kid in, then decided I didn't like that house so I bought one in Brightvale and moved my wife and kid in, and now I can't sell or rent out my house in Oakvale. I can only set the allowance thing and enter decoration mode

fable 2 problems.   i bought limited and a few weeks later, it started freezing ALL the time, i found a perect circle scratch on the disc, so i went out and bought a BRAND NEW copy of the regular fable, and it still freezes. i now believe it is a hard drive problem, but ive noticed other also have this problem, so im not sure, and i reallly hope its not a problem with the hard drive.

Yea im having the same problem. Cept for the scratches of course. Game freezes during conversations, or it freezes during real time cinematics, right after the patch and knothold island. Games starting to be a pain more then its worth. So how about some updates from the programmers.

You have to collect all 10 pieces of treasure on the island, after you've gotten all 10, jack will meet you on the shore when you come back to bloodstone.

if you pirates want the game get patched STOP spamming the important "BUG UPDATE" list with your whining.

This seems to be the exact problem I have with my game...

I can't progress in the Knothole Island quest either. Glad I wasted my money.

Even better, it won't update any quests now, so for the third time a glitch ruined another hero.

I've been fairly lucky, though having my wife Lady Grey stuck in a wall in Fairfax Gardens is really bumming me. I see a work-around here:

But that's just a little crazy. The recent patch didn't fix the missing wife bug. Lionhead, please release a patch that prevents a spouse from getting lost / stuck in walls! And that resets all spouses back to some safe location.

When I get to knothole Island, my left trigger no longer highlights/locks on to people (townsfolk). Prevents me from seeing towns people and other such npc stats or trying to get private interactions with them. It persists when I leave KI as well. Trigger still locks on for enemies.

After going through the Storm Temple once, I cant go back through it again. (exit wont open, just an "A" icon that does nothing). This is preventing me from getting the 10th Book, as I missed it the first time through.

I have a pretty game killing glitch. I completed the game and about 95% of the sidequests that were available to me. I was trying to earn a million gold to buy fairfax manor. So i started going through the crucible over and over again. As soon as i had a million gold (conveniently my last round was enough for this), i went through the portal to return to the crucible steps, and when the screen came back up from loading, my characters feet were stuck in the level, i cant use weapons, magic, items, i cant even talk to anyone or turn my char around, i can first person look and teleport, but no matter where i go to, my chars' feet are stuck in the level!! Help?! i got 20 hrs into that char and maxed him out... what do i do? is there a fix coming or something?

I know this issue is fixed in the latest patch, so it shouldn't be really happening anymore I would have thought. Here for a bit more details ( read last point where it says 'Furniture Shop' ):

Anyway just to add to this my first issue seems to be I cannot locate Rupert to tell him about his date as he nor Giles seem to be on the farm. There is no golden trail either to lead me there for some reason. I can't progress in teh Knothole Island either. It wont update the first quest I completed there.

You need to go back to Bowerstone Market for the quest list to update, same thing happens to most of us.

I had the exact same issue! Ran through the crucible a few times to get some extra cash after completing the game except for fairfax, and my character is only able to fast travel!  No other movement or actions are possible.  Frustrating to have a great character that is now completely worthless, but at least it gives me a chance to run through the game with a few other characters, right >.>; strange way to add replay value.

ALL THIS IS FINE AND DANDY BUT DONT WE OR YOU ALL REALIZE BY NOW THAT WE ARE NOTHING TO THEM NOT EVEN A DOLLAR OR OUR DOLLAR DO THEY CARE BOUT . THIS IS THE WORST I HAVE EVER HEARD BOUT A GAME AND WHEN U CALL MICROSOFT THEY KNOW NOTHING BOUT IT OR CLAIM IT IS OUT OF THERE HANDS HERE .WHY IS CAUSE ALL OF US ARE HERE COMPLAINING WHEN WE NEED TO CALL AND EMAIL MICRSOFT SO THAY THEY CAN MAKE LIONHEAD DO SOMETHING BOUT IT. If i do the quest "the spire", the new quest from Knothold Island (The big freeze) will suddently reappear and if i go there the place is still rainy and the chieftan is gone.

4) SAVING - Most RPG games out there allow you to create multiple saves. Am I missing somethnig here, or does Fable 2 not allow multiple saves? What if I'm not sure about a particular decision I'm about to make, and want to save right before I choose?
What if I'm not sure how much profit a store/home is going to make for me, and I want to save before purchasing? What if I receive a horrible scar in combat, etc, etc.?
Dev team, if it's possible, please allow us to create multiple/custom named saves.


Number 4 is not a bug. This was intentionally put in here so that if you made a wrong decision, you had to stick with it.

So... they knew that the game had huge game ending freezing issues (how could you have not given the alarming frequency of game ending glitches and BSODs,) and they still didn't include options to have multiple saves. 

Makes total sense to me.
