How about the rampant and random freezing making the game 100% unplayable?

Wow, Im lucky I have hardly ever encounted most of these bugs, probably cause most of these are secret bugs that are hidden and rare to get or something, oh well keep up the posts, I bet Lionhead are working on a huge patch to fix everything.

It's 100% when the freezing occurs during a save operation, permanently corrupting your game file and permanently killing your character. This is unforgivable.

Well I installed Fable 2 on my hard drive and I have never froze on me during loading of save, after all when you install games on your hard drive, it makes the game run smoother, your disc doesnt spin and less load times , NXE =)

has anyone else encountered the glitch at the crucible. It never loads and in the loading screen shows the map of albion and not the crucible itself.

Any suggestions of what i can do?

He didn't.  And this is where I'm really stuck - for some reason, it autosaved at the base of the ladder, at the exit of the cave.  I can't leave the region - not by walking, not through region select on the menu, not through setting a different quest.  Every time I try, it says that I'll have to reload, and puts me back in the cave.

 

I've tried multiple methods of getting my admittedly dim child up the ladder - I've had him set on follow, I've dismissed him, I've lead him to the start of the cave and back, I've had my husband jump in as a co-op player and try to lure my child up the ladder, I've tried killing my child (the kid's invincible, not sure why he needed rescuing, tbh)...nothing works.

Anyone know of a workaround?  I'd nearly racked up enough money to buy the castle!

FYI - I love this game, and will most likely play it through at least 2-3 times.

I myself will play Fable 2 always every time, so much that I should have as many heroes as I can make =)

Cant go to LionHead Ilse.  I have the new download content and was able to go there before. HELP!

well if you restart your game by going back to dashboard then playing it from disc or hard drive that problem fixes itself

That in no way could be true, Sam probably just said that so that they could work on a secret patch =) and anyway, I barely have seen any faults at all in my game, the only fault was with some minor bug where you get stuck in Commadant's chamber when Garth stops at the door. Thats it, with only that I automatically give Fable 2 a 10 out of 10...I played Fable and Fable The Lost Chapters, and I like Fable 2 more, because of the story, characters, the dog, more gameplay wise, slightly better graphics, the feature that collects gold from business and rent while 360 is off or not playing. and a few other things, including the cool look on the weapons and the unique combinations of clothing being able to dye them and hair, and how the weapons look as the quality they are made of, for example rusty weapons have a poor look, rusted, broken, chipped.

the spire quest has done something similar to this to me. i finished the crucible then go talk to hammer and then went off and adventured while she followed me i come back and go to the dock (where the gold light leads me) and arrive at the golden circle just to sit there and do nothing after reading what everyones going through im convinced mine is glitched as well and i am angry because now i have to start over which wouldent be that bad but i infused all my pubgames cash over like so many others so now that along with all the other things ive done is lost and i could at least go have fun with the game without the main story but its impossible with that fat whore hammer following me its like a slap in the face all this plus the fact that there is little to nothing in new and innovative things theyve added plus if i were to restart ill prolly just get glitched again after reading everyones comments like i said i am probably going to sell asap i mean i paid 60 bucks for fable 2 not fable 1.5 so thanks lionhead truely thanks if there is ever a fable 3 dont count on me buying it..... ps this is hours after ive had this happen to me and have tried to fix it and this is just the beginning of my ranting on this shoddy game

Umm, I think you experienced that now old and fixed bug where that ship captain that takes you to the spire doesnt respond, yeah, Lionhead fixed that in their most recent patch, so you should be fine now if thats the issue, if it isn't then Im out of ideas...

Anyway, Its Fable 2 not Fable 1.5, Fable Lost chapters was fable 1.5 pretty much its just a few bugs or glitches that managed to sneak past the game polishing part, they thought it went golden, but luckily so far there has been one sucessful patch, soon there will probably be another down the road, only makes sense seeing that every 360 game receives updates on a regular basis, not everyday, just in a week or two at best, so here's what you could do as well, keep your fable 2 until they release the second patch, and within that time, depending if you gain gold from real estate you own, at least you will collect gold when playing other games then when the second patch comes, you go on, update your fable 2, then boom its all

i have downloaded the patch and have the same issue, do you have to start again or will this fix an already corrupted game?

ok, i have tried again.
i have left Wescliff on foot, done a quest, returned on foot and the captin is still standing there like a retard in a chip shop.

what am i missing???

ok wow so I just loaded my game and I was at the crucible and my character isn't walking on the ground... hes just gliding around floating inches above the ground... he looks like an idiot and I don't know why its doing this?
I restarted my xbox and everything but no matter where I go or how many restarts hes still FLOATING around and it is completely taking away from the game expirience and is pissing me off!
I want my money back if this doesn't get fixed.

after the february update, i now see the same thing. i had the game on the hard drive, uninstalled it hoping to fix the problem, no dice. this sucks. i have found NO one else whining about this problem, sigh.

I got one, at the end I chose the needs of the many, and lost my dog. I got the Knothole Island DLC and got another dog. Went to the demon door in Rookridge, the one you need dog tricks to get into, and if you dont have a dog, it gives you a ghost dog. It turned my new dog into a ghost, and now my dog is stuck there. I cant go get a new one again, and my dog shows up on the mini map way to the left on the edge of the menu. Sucks...

Well, I don't know if these three are listed, but one of them is being really annoying these days. All these bugs appeared AFTER I purchased Knothole Island DLC, so I think it must be related to it.

1) Since I'm Spanish, this was the only language that featured my copy of Fable II. Thankfully, Lionhead pals gave us the chance of playing it whith the original voices, which I love and use. So, the problem is that -you have guessed- with the last update, Albion people have gone "multilanguage", and speak mainly in English but in Spanish from time to time (main characters included), resulting in a funny spanglish community.

2) Knothole Chieftan's firts line of dialog never sounds, in every conversation with him.

3)Some pub NPCs carry furniture instead of jars (I saw a waitress wielding a wooden chair)

Thank you capitanmosca! I thought I was the only one having this original language mixed with english issue(in fact I thought the french version was the only one having this issue since apparently the german version isn't affected).
Now that 2 different versions are affected I can hope for a fix .

I think I'm having a similar issue with the knothole chieftan too, but I didn't play much(in fact not at all) since that messed up english voices problem.

Hello everybody, first post on this forums, just to know if a solution exist for the hairstyle card which made the game crash, on french forums I've read that the problem is known, but Lionhead seems to... doesn't care.

I'm not a cheater, it seems to be a "normal" problem, and I've already do many tests with the cache empty, delete the Pub Games software, etc...

After 10 million in gold, 47 gargoyles, and a whole lot of fun, I got the plaits hairstyle glitch too.  Although I have not seen anything about a solution, I am hopeful that they will have a fix in the next DLC.  In the meantime, I started a new character and I have taken it a completely different direction.

Thank you for the response CPTWilly, I hope too for a patch with the next DLC, I've already start a new character, but I'm still angry about the time that I've spend in the first one...
